Separei os meus últimos trabalhos para vos mostrar em 3 posts. Demorei 13 dias para finalmente escrever o último... estabeleci um novo record! :p LOL Finalmente, o último post com o meu SAL, o Jingles da Lizzie Kate :)

A Ritinha começou este SAL, ao qual me juntei com a Annette, a Noni e mais alguém que eu ainda não sei bem =) Desculpem, estou a começar agora, ainda preciso me integrar no grupo ;) hhehehe O objectivo é bordar um bloquinho e publicar a foto do wip nos últimos dias de cada mês. Estou a começar quase a meio do ano *shame on me!!* Resolvi começar pelo bloco que todas estão a bordar, afinal é um stitch-a-long ;) e no tempo que me sobrar (se sobrar!! hehehe) vou tentanto recuperar o atraso nos outros blocos.



Comecei no final do mês de Maio... daí aquela árvore ali tão sozinha :p Agora saltei para Junho, quero completar o bloco que todas vão bordar e, havendo tempo, recuperar o atraso no bloco anterior ;) Claro que isto é a minha ideia, vamos ver se realmente resulta. Se eu não conseguir bordar nem um bloco por mês.. aí é que corre muito mal!! Pensamento positivo, um passinho de cada vez, vamos ao bloco deste mês :)

I wanted to show you my latest crafts in 3 posts. It only took me 13 days to finally write this last one... I may have set a new record :p Lol So, here is my SAL update, Jingles by Lizzie Kate :)

Rita started this SAL, which I joined with Annette, Noni and a few more friends that I don't know yet =) Sorry, I'm starting now, I need to integrate myself in the group ;) hhehehe The goal is to stitch one block and post our wip photo on the last days of each month. I'm starting almost halfway through the year *shame on me!* I decided to start on the same block everyone is stitching, after all, it's a stitch-a-long ;) and in the remaining time (if I actually have it! Hehehe) I'll try to catch up on the previous blocks.

I started at the end of May... that's the reason for that tree standing alone in there :​​p Now I jumped to June's block, I want to finish the same block everyone is stitching and then I'll catch up ;) Of course this is my idea, let's see if it really works. If I'm not able to stitch even one full block... well, it will go very badly! Positive thinking, one small step at a time, let's make this month's block :)

Os tempos em que eu fazia 10 bordados num só mês... já eram :p
É claro que o meu baby boy será mais independente no futuro, eu poderei bordar mais mas, mesmo assim, sei que não será como antes :) E porquê que o digo com um sorriso? Porque menos tempo com as agulhas quer também dizer: tempo com o meu bebé :D Aceito muito bem a troca ;) hehehe

Agora a minha aspiração é ser como a Annette, uma mamã que faz mil coisas para os seus filhotes :D Ouviste bem Annette, quero ser como tu ;) Daqui a uns anos vou bordar dinossauros ou motivos de futebol heheheh por enquanto ainda continuam as coisas fofas e meiguinhas para bebé :)

Quando o Lourenço tinha uma semana, fomos pela primeira vez à loja de lavores, comprei duas fraldinhas para bordar e escolhi motivos que já estavam na minha lista de preferidos. A ideia é fazer duas almofadas, como sugerido na revista (Cross Stitcher) mas achei que também resultavam bem aqui :)



Depois de receber o presente da Marcinha, tive de experimentar a patch colagem e fiz mais duas fraldinhas :D Tenho mais motivos recortados mas ainda não houve oportunidade para costurar :p



Tenho mais um pouco de ponto cruz para vos mostrar mas, como o tema é diferente, deixo para outro post ;)

That time when I would make 10 finishes in one single month... it's over :p
Of course, my baby boy will be more independent in the future, I'll be able to stitch more but, even so, I know it won't be like before :) And why do I say it with a smile? Because less time with the needles also means: spending time with my baby :D I can take that exchange with pleasure ;) hehehe

Now my aspiration is to be like Annette, a crafty Mom who does a thousand things for her kids :D Annette, you heard me well, I wanna be like you ;) In a few years I'll be stitching dinosaurs or football designs heheheh For now I'm still enjoying the cute and lovely baby things :)

Lourenço was only one week old when we made our first visit to the needlework store, I bought two burp clothes to stitch and picked a couple of patterns from my to-stitch list. The idea is to make two pillows, as suggested in the magazine (Cross Stitcher) but I thought it would also work out pretty well here :)

After receiving Marcinha's gift, I had to try the patch collage and sewing, made ​​two more burp clothes :D I have more fabric pieces ready to sew but there wasn't a chance to finish it yet :p

There's more cross stitch to show you but, since it's on a different theme, I'll leave it for another post ;)

another little friend :)

Sempre fui fã destes bonequinhos da DMC, todos os anos surgem novos modelitos e eu já tinha 3 faz tempo :p Além do ursinho do último post, tenho outro ursinho polar com uma mochila às costas (onde está o espaço para bordar) e um patinho que faz pan-dan com o set que bordei ;) heheheh



Já tenho o peluche do ursinho com o nome por isso procurei algo diferente. Achei gira a ideia de pegar um motivo do esquema dos patitos (podem ver um exemplo no metro da foto abaixo). Ainda ponderei acrescentar uma ou duas estrelinhas mas numa peça tão pequena acabava por ficar muito cheio.
Fiquei-me apenas pelo barquinho, simples mas amoroso :)



Agora preciso procurar outra ideia para o ursinho polar =)

I've always been a fan of these DMC soft toys, each year new ones come along and I had 3 bought a while ago :p Besides the teddy bear on my last post, I have another polar bear with a backpack (where's the fabric to stitch) and a cute duck that kinda matches the set I've stitched on the last few years ;)

Since I've already stitched my baby boy's name on the teddy, I tried to look for something different. I had this idea to pick a small design from my little ducks charts (you can see an example on the meter from the second photo). I thought about adding one or two stars but, in such a small piece, it would look to full.
I chose to keep just the boat, simple but sweet :)

Now I need to figure something else for the polar bear =)

Pensar que daqui a duas semaninhas seremos 3 em casa =) Ainda custa acreditar que a gravidez passou tão rápido e o Lourenço está quase a chegar :)



Corre tudo bem, o único desafio é dormir!!! Fica complicado quando temos um menino a dar pontapés na nossa barriga ou quando a posição dele não colabora com a nossa hehehehe Isso tem diminuído a minha produtividade durante o dia, como não descanso bem, não tenho a mesma energia no dia-a-dia. Mas não pensem que passo o dia deitada, logo quem ;) LOL

Na verdade, incomoda mais estar muito tempo na mesma posição ou a fazer a mesma coisa, o ideal é ir alternando e movimentando. Nem muito tempo de pé, nem muito tempo sentada. Continuar a fazer umas caminhadas mesmo quando a energia é pouca, a actividade faz o corpo sentir-se melhor :)

Os crafts também continuam a rolar :D mas como vos acabei de dizer, não passo muito tempo a fazer a mesma coisa, ou seja, vou fazendo de tudo um pouco heheheh Saber trabalhar com diferentes técnicas acaba por ser bem atractivo nesta fase :) Ponto cruz, crochet, tricot, costura, feltro... tudo tem acontecido aqui :p hahahahah Contei-vos que o mês de Fevereiro seria para trabalhar no decor do quartinho, assim tem sido :) Não tenho mostrado fotos porque estou a tentar terminar mais algumas coisas, será mais giro de mostrar quando o quartinho estiver 'composto' =) Está quase... ;) heheheh



Thinking that in a couple of weeks we will be 3 at home =) Still hard to believe that my pregnancy has gone by so fast and Lourenço is almost here :)

Everything going well , the only challenge is to sleep!!! It gets tricky when you have a little boy kicking inside your belly or when his position doesn't cooperate with yours hehehehe This has decreased my productivity during the day, I don't rest as well at night so not the same energy during the day. But don't you think I spend my day laying down, we are talking about me ;) LOL

Actually, it bothers me more to spend a long time in the same position or doing the same thing, the ideal is to keep alternating and moving. Not much time standing up, nor sitting down for too long. I continue to take my walks even when the energy is low, the activity makes the body feel better :)

My crafts continue on a roll :D But, as I just said , I don't spend a lot of time doing the same thing, I'm doing a bit of everything at the same time heheheh The ability to work with different techniques turns out to be very attractive at this stage :) Cross stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, felt... everything is happening around here :p hahahahah I've told you before, February would be to work on the nursery's decor, I'm following the plan :) I haven't shown pictures because I'm trying to finish a few more things, it's more interesting to show once the room is 'all set' =) Almost there... ;) heheheh

Na semana passada, apenas duas noites foram para começar a manta, ainda sobrou muito tempo para o ponto cruz e para terminar mais uma babete :)

Last week, only two nights were to start the blanket, there was still much time left for cross stitch and to finish one more bib for my boy :)

baby's first outfit =)

Mais um conjuntinho bordado para o Lourenço :) Com um nome longo, é dificil pegar letras que encaixem nas babetes pequeninas e acaba por não dar para juntar mais nada também :p Por isso, complementei apenas a fraldinha com o motivo do bebé, acho que ficou um set amoroso =)



Fotos tiradas no inverno são sempre um 31 para conseguir mostrar as verdadeiras cores! Abaixo, outra imagem para vos mostrar melhor o detalhe do tecido destas peças (deveria ter feito isto nos conjuntos anteriores também).



Talvez se recordem de outra babete que já fiz o nome do baby boy, esse primeiro modelito é maior, para 6 meses. Esta babete é pequenina, mesmo para recém-nascido, será o primeiro conjunto a usar na maternidade :) E já agora, gostavam de ver a primeira roupinha que vai vestir? :D



Azul bebé, cinza claro e branquinho :) As outras roupas ainda não estão definidas mas para o primeiro dia os papás já escolheram =)

With a long name, it's hard to pick letters that fit into these small bibs and ultimately impossible to add anything more :p So, I stitched a baby motif only on the burp cloth, I think it turned out pretty cute =)

Winter weather is no help to show colors on photos! On the second image, a close up to show you the detail of the fabric on these pieces (I should have done this with all the other sets too).

You may remember another bib I've stitched with my baby boy's name, that one is a bigger size, for 6 months. This bib is tiny, for newborn, I choose it to take to the 1st day at the hospital :) If you'd you like to see he's first outfit, last pic above :D Baby blue, light gray and white :) The other clothes are not chosen yet but, for his first day, mommy and daddy have picked what to wear =)

Ainda temos dois meses pela frente, algumas pessoas já estão a encurtar a viagem para apenas 1 mesinho, não façam isso! Eu quero que passe devagar, não cortem ainda mais! ;) hahahahah Começámos o 8º mês (32 semanas) e ainda temos até 12 de Março, data prevista para o parto :)

Com a barriguinha a ficar mais redonda, o ritmo abranda mas ainda há tempo que chegue para mais alguns crafts ;) Espero fazer mais uns bordadinhos durante este mês e passar Fevereiro a entreter-me com os últimos detalhes na decoração do quartinho :D

Falando em bordados, tenho mais uma fraldinha terminada :)

Os bichinhos fofos funcionam muito bem para os meninos, não acham? :) Sempre achei que era mais fácil bordar coisas mimosas para meninas, até que tenho conseguido encontrar opções fofinhas para menino, sem ter de ceder aos carrinhos e comboios! :p LOL

Para o próximo post, um flashback dos bordados finalizados em 2013 :)
E prometo que também farei um post com todos os bordados que fiz para o meu pequeno smurf =) heheheh A Annette já me pediu, não está esquecido ;)

There are still two months to go, some people are already shortening the trip to only 1 month, please don't do that! I want time to pass slowly, don't cut it short even more! ;) hahahahah We started the 8th month (32 weeks) and we still have until March 12th, the prediction for the due date :)

With my baby bump getting rounder, I'm slowing my pace but there's still time for a few more crafts ;) I hope to do some more cross stitching during this month and spend February having fun with the last details on the nursery decoration :D

Speaking of stitching, here's one more finished piece for my baby, another giraffe :) Cute animals work very well for baby boys, don't you agree? :) I always thought it was easier to stitch sweet things for girls, somehow I managed to find good options to make adorable things for my baby boy, without having to yield to cars and trains! :p LOL

And I promise I'll also make a post with all I've made for my little smurf heheheh Annette has asked me for that, it's not forgotten ;)

Friends are Forever, Anchor Intermezzo

Nesta altura é dificil tirar fotos que mostrem as cores bonitas das peças, com os dias de chuva, a pouco iluminação não colabora nada =/ Mas posso vos dizer que as cores estão em sintonia com as outras peças que decoram o quarto, o azul e amarelinho caiem muito bem :) E as estrelinhas do tecido estampado ficam em perfeita harmonia com este gráfico :D

Matching the pieces I showed you on my last post, another set with blue fabric and stamped white stars, now a sheet and pillowcase for the baby's crib :)

These days have been difficult to take pictures that show the nice and pretty colors for real! Loads of rain, low light, the weather is not colaborating =/ But I can tell you the colors work perfectly with the other pieces decorating the room, the blue and yellow match so well :) And the little stars on the printed fabric are in perfect harmony with this pattern :D

Obrigada por todos os vossos comentários no post anterior :) Uma mantinha assim não é uma peça comum de encontrar, normalmente tem apenas uma barra num canto, como outra manta polar que já fiz para o conjunto dos patinhos. O patinho e o urso dão-lhe um acréscimo de fofura =)

... fiz outro set de babete e fraldinha de pano, novamente um gráfico saído das revistas Anchor Intermezzo :) A foto pequena não mostra o estampado, sobre o tecido azul são estrelinhas brancas.

E outra babete com 'atitude' hehehehe "Sou mais fofo que tu" :D LOL!!



Terminei Dezembro com outra peça começada mas que só concluí depois da passagem de ano, já segue na lista de 2014 :p

Thanks for all your comments on my previous post :) It's not very common to find that kind of blanket in stores, usually it has only a ribbon to cross stitch at the corner, like this other blanket I stitched from the big baby set. For sure the duckling and the bear bring an extra load of cuteness to the piece =)

More from my December stitching! I made another set of bib and burp cloth, again a pattern out of the Anchor Intermezzo magazines :) The small photo doesn't show the stamp on the blue fabric, it may look like dots but it's stars, tiny white stars.

And another bib with an 'attitude' hehehehe I'm cuter than you :D LOL!

At the end of December I was stitching another piece, finished on the first day of the year so... it counts as the first 2014 finish, coming next! :p

Com a época de Natal, passeios, comprinhas, viagem até Lisboa... as horas de bordados foram menores mas ainda concluí algumas peças para o baby boy :)

Comecei o mês com uma mantinha muito fofa =) Esta fez-me cair os olhinhos quando a vi na loja! Uma mantinha polar, com uma aplicação para bordar, acompanhada de.. um patinho e um ursinho!!! :D Haverá coisa mais perfeita para mim? hehehe Ponderei o que bordar, pensei numa frase ou num trecho de uma música infantil... uma canção de embalar.. a música do Vitinho! :D



Uma figura bem especial, tanto na minha infância como na do Rui :)
Velhos tempos em que as crianças iam dormir cedinho, na hora do Vitinho, nem pensávamos em querer ficar acordados até mais tarde. Se o Vitinho ía dormia, nós também. No futuro, espero apresentar o Vitinho ao Lourenço ;)

With the Christmas season, going out now and then, some time shopping, our trip to Lisbon... my stitching hours weren't as much as usual but I was able to finish a few more pieces for my baby boy :)

I started the month with a very cute blanket =) This one made my eyes drop when I saw it on the store! A baby blue polar balnket, with an application ready to stitch, and two friends on top... a duckling and a bear! :D Could it be more perfect for me? hehehe I thought about what to stitch, maybe a quote or some piece of a children's song... a lullaby.. our portuguese cartoon character, Vitinho's lullaby! :D

Vitinho is a memorable little boy from our childhood, Rui and mine :)
Old times when kids went to bed early, after dinner we would see this clip on TV and go to sleep, we didn't even think about wanting to stay up later. If Vitinho was going to bed, we were too. In the future, I hope to introduce Vitinho to baby Lourenço ;)

On the blanket you can read the beginning of the song, sounds much better and it rhymes in portuguese but I'll translate so you know what it says: "It's time for bed / let's go to sleep / watch outside, the stars / sleep smiling"

Deve andar por aí um patinho perdido... porque tantas pessoas viram um patinho no meu post anterior!!! :p LOL Era um ursinho, um Forever Friends que, há duas semanas atrás, esteve noutra foto aqui no meu blog heheheh Calculei que deixaria algumas de vocês com aquele feeling de 'eu-já-vi-isto-em-algum-lado..' Ora espreitem este post, bem topo do meu monte de coisas a bordar :D

Forever Friends Little Bear, in Cross Stitcher 211

Respondendo a algumas questões que me colocaram, não preciso costurar nada, a própria peça trazia o quadrado de quadrilé para bordar, só difere no facto de ser azul em vez do habitual branco. Como tenho encontrado bonitas peças prontas a bordar, não vale a pena gastar tempo/dinheiro a comprar tecidos/costurar. Quando começar a trabalhar na decoração do quarto, aí sim, irei costurar algumas coisas e inventar de raíz! Para breve ;) hehehe

O que virá a seguir? Ainda não sei! Vou encerrar Novembro satisfeita por ter bordado todas as peças que queria e ainda mais algumas! :D hehehe Com Dezembro a bater à porta... é a 'abertura oficial' da época de Natal cá em casa!! É hora de decorar e espalhar enfeites por todo o lado :D

There's probably a little duck lost somewhere... because so many people saw a duck on my previous post! :p LOL It was a bear, a Forever Friends bear that, two weeks ago, was on another photo here on my blog heheheh I figured I'd leave some of you with that feeling 'I've-seen-this-somewhere..' Take a peak on this post, right there on the top of the pile with all my things to stitch :D

Another burp cloth finished for my baby boy =)

Replying to some questions you asked, I won't be sewing it, the piece already has the Aida square to stitch, the only difference is the fact that it's blue instead of the usual white. I've been able to find beautiful pieces ready to stitch, not worth spending time/money buying fabric/sewing. Once I start working on the room decoration, then I'll sew some things and make it from scratch! Soon ;)

What's coming next? Don't know yet! I'm closing November very happy to have stitched all things I wanted and even some more! :D hehehe With December knocking on the door... it's the 'official opening' of the Christmas season on our home! It's time to deck the halls! :D

can you guess what's coming? :)

As minhas últimas três fraldinhas conquistaram alguns corações =) Eu comecei por gostar da joaninha, a seguir gostei mais do ratinho, no fim foi o ouriço que mais me encantou :) Mas sou suspeita porque mudei-lhe completamente as cores! O ratinho tinha ficado mais escuro do que eu esperava, aprendi com a experiência, para o ouriço escolhi cores a gosto em vez de seguir a tabela!

Mas não pensem que bordei muito ou rápido, os motivos eram mesmo pequeninos, não foi complicado terminar em dois dias. Foi chato pelo tecido mas isso acabou por me dar mais vontade de terminar logo! ;) heheheh

Na segunda-feira comecei a peça seguinte, duas noites a bordar e o avanço ainda é pequenino mas algumas de vocês talvez adivinhem o que vem por aí :)



Será que sabem??? :p Esta só deve ficar pronta para o próximo fim-de-semana, vou bordando um bocadinho todas as noites, o crescimento é lento.. mas já é a décima peça que faço este mês, nada mau :D

My last three cuties won some hearts =) At first I really liked the ladybug, then I thought the mouse was even cuter, in the end it was the hedgehog that charmed me the most :) But I'm suspicious because I completely changed the colors! The mouse turned out darker than I expected, learned from experience, for the hedgehog I chose my own colors instead of following the color key!

Don't think I'm stitching a lot or too fast, those designs were really small, it wasn't hard to finish in two days. The fabric was a pain but it ended up increasing my willing to finish it soon! ;) heheheh

On Monday I started the next piece, two nights stitching and the progress is still small but some of you may guess what's coming :) Can you see it?? :p This one should only be ready next weekend, stitching a little every night, slow progress... It's actually the 10th piece I stitch this month, not bad :D

3 little cuties, 3 little finishes

Sabem aquele momento em que começamos a bordar uma peça e... nos apercebemos do quanto o tecido para bordar é terrível? :p Multipliquem isso por 3 e têm a aventura do meu fim-de-semana! LOL

Na revista com os últimos gráficos que bordei, tinha uma joaninha azul a chamar por ser bordada :) Não a coloquei nas peças do conjunto cinza mas aquela joaninha tão fofa tinha o tamanho ideal para o canto de uma fraldinha. Quando comecei a bordar, apercebi-me do quanto a trama do quadrilé é pequenina e as aberturas dos pontos exagerada grandes =/ De longe a combinação perfeita para um bordado fácil!

Com uma boa dose de paciência, o motivo era pequeno, não levou muitas horas a terminar. Mas.. tinha em casa mais 2 peças iguais :p Bom, antes que desistisse delas e ficassem esquecidas no fundo de uma gaveta, até dia de S. Nunca à tarde, enfrentei o caso e resolvi fazer as peças todas.

A joaninha vem na revista Anchor Intermezzo, 'Made with love'. Os outros dois motivos, são de folhas de gráficos que vêm de oferta com as babetes para bordar. Foi fim-de-semana muito frio mas bem produtivo, não acham? :)

... realize that the fabric to stitch is a pain? :p Multiply that by 3 and you have my weekend adventure! LOL

In the same magazine with the latest designs I've stitched, there was a blue ladybug calling to be stitched :) I didn't add it to the gray set but that cute ladybug had the right size to fit the corner of another piece. Once I started, I noticed how tiny was the Aida count and how large were the 'holes' =/ By far the perfect combo for a pleasant stitching!

With a good dose of patience, the design was small, it didn't take many hours to finish. But... I had 2 more pieces at home, exactly the same fabric :p Well, before I'd give up on them and forget all in a drawer, until who-knows-when, I decided to face the challenge and make all the pieces.

The ladybug it's from Anchor Intermezzo magazine, 'Made with love'. The other two designs, are from chart sheets that came along with bibs to stitch. It was a very cold weekend but very productive as well, don't you agree? :)

♥ torn between 2 loves! ♥

Tenho de agradecer o vosso feedback sobre os bercinhos :D Foi muito bom ler as vossas opiniões, acreditem que perguntei a toda a gente hehehhe não apenas aqui no blog, também aos amigos e família :)

Embora tenha várias razões que me fazem gostar do berço do ursinho, continuo dividida entre dois amores... porque o berço das estrelas enche-me os olhinhos!!! =) Cada qual tem o seu encanto e estou certa que, seja qual for a escolha final, é impossível escolher mal ;) hehehehe

E enquanto esta conversa sobre o berço rolou, terminei não uma mas duas peças! O set cinza está completo :D



I want to thank you all for your feedback about the cribs :D It was great to read your opinions, believe me, I've asked everyone hehehhe not just here on the blog, also to friends and family :)

Although I have several reasons to pick the crib with the bear, I'm still torn between two loves... because the one with the stars just "fills my little eyes"! =) - a saying we have here, when you love something even without being able to point out why :) - Each one has its own charm and I'm sure that, whatever my final choice may be, it's impossible to go wrong ;) hehehehe

And while this crib discussion was rolling here, I finished not one but two pieces! My gray set is complete :D

Eis mais uma toalhinha de banho terminada para o baby :D
A ovelhinha vocês já tinham percebido mas estava a faltar a vaquinha para se juntar à festa! :) Tanto o tecido branco/cinza como o gráfico, estão entre os meus favoritos =) Ainda vou aumentar este set com umas quantas peças a fazer pan-dan heheheh A segunda peça já está em produção! ;)

Here's another bath towel finished for my baby :D
The sheep you already knew but she was missing her friend the cow to join the party! heheheh This white/gray fabric and also this design, are on my favorites list so far =) I won't be able to resist increasing this set with a few more pieces matching :) Second one is already in progress ;)

Obrigada pelos vossos comentários sempre tão simpáticos =) Daqui a umas 4 semanas volto com outra foto.. provavelmente a segurar um guarda-chuva ou com um casaco para a neve! :p LOL

A babete que bordei com o nome do Lourenço tinha ursinhos mas não era a única por aqui.. tenho mais ursos! hehehe Quando as peças têm algum motivo, costumo bordar nomes, não gosto de preencher com mais motivos. Isso resulta quando é para oferecer, se estou a bordar para o meu baby, não posso bordar todas com o nome, não é? ;) Então poderei escrever outras coisinhas...



.. frases fofas :D Nunca tinha bordado nada assim mas achei a ideia engraçada! Até já tenho outra em mente, numa próxima vez hei-de bordar 'I'm cuter than you' =) hehehe Por acaso vocês têm mais alguma ideia engraçada? Estejam à vontade para sugerir! :)

The bib I stitched for Lourenço had teddies but it wasn't the only one here... I have more bears! hehehe When the pieces have some kind of print/applique on it, I usually stitch names, I don't like to fill it with more designs. This works when I'm making gifts, if I'm stitching for my baby, I can't stitch his name everywhere, right? ;) So I tried something else... cute phrases :D

First time I 'write' on bibs, I think it looks cute and fun! I already have another one in mind, for next time: 'I'm cuter than you' =) hehehe Do you have any other fun phrase you can think? Feel free to suggest! :)

É mesmo este o nome do nosso pequenino =)
A minha ideia sempre foi mais virada para nomes pequenos e acabámos com um nome bem comprido para bordar! LOL Perspectiva de crafter ;) hahaha

A mamã tinha duas sugestões de nomes pequeninos, o papá tinha outras 5 sugestões completamente diferentes! hehehe Não estávamos em sintonia e previa-se uma jornada longa até à decisão final :p No topo da lista dele estava Lourenço, soa bem... não é um nome pequeno mas também não é um nome comum, é doce e amoroso :) A cada dia fui engraçando mais com o nome e já imaginava o nosso pequenino a chamar-se Lourenço.. ficou! :D



Claro que o post anterior foi só para brincar convosco :) Até parei de bordar a seguir ao L, de propósito para tirar uma foto e postar aqui :p hahahahaha E logo no primeiro comentário a Pés de Lã deu um tiro certeiro!!! Gostei de ver ;) Muitas de vocês acertaram em cheio, espero que isso também signifique que escolhemos um nome bonito =)

That's our baby boy's name =)
I always had in mind a small name and we ended up with such a long name to stitch! LOL The crafter's perspective ;) hahaha

Mommy list of ideas had two small names, Daddy had 5 other completely different! hehehe We were not in sync and it looked like it would be a long journey until the final decision :p At the top of his list was Lourenço... Not small but also not a common name, sounds sweet and adorable :) To my foreign friends, I can tell you it's similar to the italian Lorenzo, not the same! But a close example of how it sounds in portuguese. Each new day I was loving it a little more and I imagined our baby boy being called Lourenço... it stuck :D

Of course, I knew it wouldn't be an easy guess for my foreign friends, my previous post was just to tease everyone a little bit :) I even stopped stitching after the L, on purpose to take a picture and post it here :p hahahahaha Altough it's not a very common name, on the first comment Pés de lã was right on the spot! That made me smile ;) Many friends nailed it, I hope this also means that we have chosen a beautiful name =)

Newton's Little 'uns Birth Sampler, Anchor NL13

E é mais uma estreia para mim, primeira vez que faço o Newton :) Outra personagem bem popular nas revistas de ponto cruz inglesas. Este pertence a um quadro de nascimento mas eu resolvi adaptar, gostei imenso do design e achei que encaixava bem na minha toalhinha com o seu viés amarelo :)

Três toalhas de banho prontas para o baby, só falta mais uma!

Ufffff!! Making bubble bath it's hard work, I almost added water just to make bubbles appear faster ;) LOL

And it's another first for me, first time stitch Newton :) Another popular character on UK cross stitch magazines. This one, actually belongs to a birth sampler but I decided to adapt, the design looked so cute and it would go along so well with my bath towel and it's yellow bias :)

three Lickle Teds :)

Ufff! Este último Lickle Ted deu um pouquito mais de trabalho com todos os seus tons de castanho e bege :p Fiz o mesmo gráfico da babete mas desta vez sem lhe cortar o pescoço ;) eheheheheh

É verdade que dificulta um pouco bordar cores muito semelhantes ao tecido que estamos usar... mas os tons do ursinho combinam perfeitamente com a cor das peças e eu adoro isso! Set completo! :D



Phew! This last Lickle Ted gave me a bit more work with all his shades of brown and beige :p I stitched the same pattern I used for the bib but this time without cutting him by the neck ;) eheheheheh

It's true that it's a bit more difficult to stitch colors very similar to the fabric we are stitching on... but the shades on Lickle Ted blend so well with the color of the fabric, I just love how it looks! The set is complete :D
