Gostei muito de ler todos os vossos comentários no meu post sobre o tricotin, fico contente por vos trazer novidades e saber que acham interessante as coisas que aqui partilho :D Como foge à temática dos bordados, não imaginei que o meu tapete vos despertasse tanta curiosidade! É um prazer responder a todas as vossas questões mas, em vez de repetir o mesmo diversas vezes por email, fica mais fácil um post de resposta geral ;)
Onde comprei o tricotin?
Na loja habitual onde costumo comprar o material para ponto cruz. Acredito que encontrem em qualquer loja que venda artigos para tricot/crochet.
Já costurei a parte que está feita?
Nope! Ainda não. Acho que seria mais fácil se começasse já a unir o cordão mas ainda não tenho bem a certeza do formato que farei, estou a deixar crescer mais um pouco para fazer a escolha definitiva. A ideia inicial é fazer redondo mas também existe a hipótese do formato oval.
Como vou unir?
Com a mesma lã e costurando à mão. Pode-se unir pelo verso em cruz mas prefiro fazê-lo entre as camadas do cordão de forma a ficar um ponto invisível. Além de ficar um acabamento mais perfeito também fica uma peça que poderá ser usada de ambos os lados ;)
Que tamanho pretendo fazer?
Ok.. aqui vão chamar-me de doida :p Perto de 2m de diâmetro :) Já sabem porquê que é um projecto para todo inverno! hahahahah Na última foto a peça pode parecer grande mas acreditem que ainda não tem nem 50cm de diâmetro! Vai levar bastantes novelos e bastantes semanas para concluir mas com calma tudo se faz, não há pressa ;)
Detalhe: para quem se espantou com o avanço entre as duas fotos, lembrem-se que a primeira foto era do fim-de-semana anterior, não do dia em que a postei! Talvez vos tenha parecido que avancei muito rápido porque pensaram que foi em três dias, o intervalo entre os posts heheheh Nope, os quase 50cm de tapete foram de toda uma semana :p
É algo que se faz bem num furo durante a hora de almoço, à noite depois de um dia de trabalho, qualquer intervalo de tempo é um pedaço que se avança sem ser preciso estar a olhar um gráfico ou a exigir muita concentração ;) Mas como também não vou parar os bordados para me dedicar exclusivamente ao tapete, isto avançará aos poucos. Irei vos mostrando o avanço :)
I really enjoyed reading all your comments on my post about the tricotin, I'm happy to share new things with you and also happy to know that you find my posts interesting :D Because it's something that goes away from the cross stitching theme, I didn't imagine my rug would arouse so much curiosity! It's a pleasure to answer all your questions but, instead of repeating the same several times by email, it's easier to post an overall reply ;)
Where did I buy my tricotin?
At the local store where I usually buy all cross stitch stuff. I believe you can easily find it in any store that sells items for knitting / crochet.
Is it sewed what is already done?
Nope! Not yet. I think it would be easier if I started to put the cord together but I'm not really sure which shape will I make, I'm letting it grow a little longer to make the final choice. The initial idea is to make it circular but I can also do it in oval shape.
How will I put it together?
Using the same wool and sewing by hand. You can sew crosses by hand on the back but I prefer to do it between the layers of the cord, this way stitches won't be visible and we get a neater finish. Also, we get a rug that can be used on both sides ;)
How big do I plan to make it?
Ok. here you'll call me crazy :p Close to 2m (78") in diameter :) Now you know why it's a project for the entire winter! hahahahah It may look big on my last wip picture but believe me it has not even 50cm (20") in diameter! It will take plenty of yarn balls and plenty of weeks to complete but it can be done, there's no rush ;)
Note: for those who where surprised with the progress between the two photos, remember that the first picture was from the weekend, not from the day I posted it! Some people thought I did that pretty fast but it's progress from an intire week, not only 3 days between the 2 posts heheheh
It's something we can easily make in a break during the time left of the lunch hour, in the evening after a long day of work, without having to look at a chart or stay very focused ;) any bit of free time is a little more forward on the piece. But I'm not stopping my cross stitch and dedicating my time exclusively to the rug, so it will grow slowly. I'll be showing you the progress :)
