E não é que as pevides germinaram mesmo????!!! Deviam ter visto a minha festa quando vi a primeira folhinha a querer aparecer! heheheh Será que terei abobóra caseira para os docinhos no Natal?? :D Não sei se vai continuar a crescer bem mas por agora precisa urgentemente de espaço, o vasinho pequenino já fez a sua parte. Rumo à próxima etapa! :D

Os meus bonecos de neves estão vermelhos.. de corados com os vossos comentários =) hehehhe Obrigada!! :D Na terça-feira a minha encomenda foi expedida, por isso, no inicio da próxima semana as linhas que me faltam já devem chegar :) Entretanto já cresceram mais um pouco, amanhã trago-vos novo update ;)

Remember my adventure in trying to plant pumpkin? It's really germinating!! You should have seen my face when I saw the first leaflet showing up! heheheh Will I have pumpkin from the garden to make Christmas desserts? :D I don't know if it will continue to grow well but for now it's in urgently need of space, these little pots have done their part. Towards the next step! :D

There are also new girls in my garden...

My Fat Men turned red... from blushing with your comments =) hehehhe Thank you!! :D On Tuesday my order was shipped, at the beginning of next week my threads will be here :) Meanwhile, I've been stitching and there's a bit more progress, tomorrow I'll post a new update ;)

a day in the garden :)

Só 2 posts numa semana? Parece pouquinho vindo de mim, não é verdade? :p Na quinta e na sexta-feira tivemos dois dias sem chuva, aproveitei para cuidar da casa e da roupa. Depois de quase 3 semanas sem conseguir lavar roupa por causa da chuva, acreditem que a minha casa parecia uma lavandaria nestes últimos dias! ahahahah Agora com tudo lavadinho e sequinho... espera-me um hot date com o ferro de engomar ;) Ulálá! Serão umas longas horas :p

Se quinta e sexta já foi bom, sábado foi dia de perder a cabeça!!!! Que lindo dia de Primavera tivemos aqui :D O S. Pedro distraiu-se lá no céu e deu-nos um dia de sol bem bonito :D hehehe Já não estávamos habituados a isto ;) Hoje chove de novo, mas não importa, ainda estou feliz com o dia de ontem :D

Feliz também está o nosso jardim, teve muito amor e carinho ontem, depois de ter sido tão arruinado pela chuva e pelo frio. Começa a melhorar agora, as photinias estão cobertas de novas folhas vermelhinhas, as roseiras começaram a despontar, a relva e as outras flores é que ainda precisam de mais um tempinho para fortalecer mas vão chegar lá ;)



Os vasinhos ganharam novas flores, amores-perfeitos =) ♥

Ainda tenho parte de um canteiro vazio onde talvez plante dálias.. ainda estou a pensar nisso. A verdadeira aventura é que quero plantar abóbora-menina, com sementes que guardei desde o natal, plantar.. num vaso :p Sei que as ramas da abóbora crescem e estendem-se por uns bons metros mas... não precisam de estar na terra, não acham? Será que vai resultar ou vai sair asneira? Eis a questão! hehehhehe

Vou deixar os crafts para amanhã, nova actualização dos bordados para a próximo post! Com tanto para contar, haverá novidades diárias por aqui! :)

Only 2 posts in the whole week? Not very usually from me, right? :p
On Thursday and Friday we had two days without rain, I spent my time taking care of the house and laundry. After almost 3 weeks without washing clothes because of the rain, believe me, my house looked like a laundry store on these last few days! ahahahah Now with everything washed and dried... I have a hot date with my iron ;) Ulálá! Some long hours are waiting :p

If Thursday and Friday were good, Saturday was the day to lose our mind!! What a beautiful Spring day we had here :D S. Peter was distracted up there in heaven and gave us a beautiful sunny day :D hehehe We are not used to this ;) Today it rains again, it's ok, I'm still happy with the day we had yesterday :D

Also happy is our garden, had lots of love and care yesterday, after being so ruined by the rain and cold. It begins to improve, photineas are covered with new red leaves, the roses began to grow, grass and other flowers still need a little more time to strengthen but they will get there ;)

Vases have gained new flowers, pansies :) Do you know how we call them in portuguese? Perfect loves =) ♥

I still have an empty space on my garden, maybe I'll plant dahlias... thinking about it. The real adventure is that I want to plant pumpkin, with seeds I saved from Christmas, plant... in a vase :p I know that the vines grow and stretch for a good few meters but... there's no need for soil, don't you think? I wonder if this will work or be a total fail :p That is the question! hehehhehe

I'll leave craft news for tomorrow, cross stitch update coming on my next post! With so much to share, we will have daily updates here! :)

garden, crochet and daffodils

Parece que no próximo fim-de-semana teremos uma chuvita a cair por aqui, enquanto não chega, há que aproveitar bem os dias de sol ;) No Sábado o tempo bom convidou-nos a almoçar no jardim :) Estava tão agradável que lá passamos a tarde toda, até o sol começar a querer fugir.

Peguei um cestinho, umas lãs, a agulha de crochet e...
... hora de inventar! :D haahhah



Recordam-se das aulinhas de crochet que fiz em Outubro? Já estava a precisar de praticar um bocadito :) A minha vontade de aprender a fazer crochet era mesmo para criar coisas úteis e engraçadas para a casa e, também, para uma outra vertente que vos hei-de falar mais tarde ;)

Na net encontramos as mais variadas ideias, actuais e coloridas, nada das rendas e naprons de antigamente hehehhe Ter a liberdade de pegar nas lãs e criar algo que temos na ideia.. é muito gostoso :D



Eu tenho uma aversão muito particular.. aos pratos para os vasos!! LOL
Não sei explicar o porquê, simplesmente nunca gostei de pratos para vasos, em vez disso acabo por colocar um vaso dentro de outro decorativo.
Para os meus narcisos, decidi fazer uma cobertura diferente :)



E com isto passei a minha tarde!! :D ehehehehe Não sei se é algo que agrade a toda a gente mas eu adorei, fica tão giro na minha cozinha =)

O fim de dia foi para terminar de bordar um presente e no Domingo estava mais fresco por isso fiquei com a minha máquina de costura. A fazer o quê? Mostro-vos amanhã noutro post ;) hehehe Boa semana para todos!! :D

Looks like we will have some rain next weekend so we must enjoy these sunny days while it last ;) On Saturday the good weather invited us to have lunch ouside, in the garden :) It was so nice that we stayed there the whole afternoon. I grabbed a basket, a few colors of wool, a crochet hook and...
... it was time to create! :D hahaha

Remember the crochet lessons I did in October? It was about time I practice a little bit :) My desire to learn to crochet was really to create useful and fun things for the home - and also for something else that I will tell you later ;)

On the web we find so many pretty ideas, current and colorful, nothing to do with doilies and that kind of stuff hehehhe The freedom to pick some wool and create something that we have in mind... it's just awesome :D

I have a very peculiar aversion... to dishes for pots! LOL I'm not sure if this has a different name in english, we just called it dishes. I can't explain why, I never liked to see dishes under the pots, instead I end up putting a pot inside another decorative pot. For my daffodils, I decided to make it a little different, with color and fun :) And with that I spent my afternoon! :D ehehehehe I don't know if it's a style that pleases everyone but I loved it, looks so cute in my kitchen =)

The end of the day was to finish stitching a gift and on Sunday the weather was a bit cooler so I stayed inside with my sewing machine. Doing what? I'll show you in another post tomorrow ;) hehehe A great week to all! :D

IHSW from start to finish

Vocês sentiram a Primavera a querer dar um olá este fim-de-semana? :D



Ontem o dia esteve tão bom que até se pode dizer que estava quente!
Quente! :) heheheh Enquanto o Rui cuidou da relva e colou no sitio as cadeiras e a mesa (que estavam arrumados por causa do tempo mais ruim de Inverno), eu fiz uma nova receita para o almoço, coloquei um bolinho de iogurte no forno e arrumei a cozinha. Além do cheirinho a bolo, estava-se bem com as portas abertas - a nossa casa não tem janelas, só grandes portas de vidro - a sentir o ar quentinho lá de fora :) No fim fomos comprar umas florzinhas novas para o jardim :D Isto é que foi um Domingo com qualidade hehehehe





Mas antes já tinha terminado o meu gatinho...



.. quase que terminava a peça final se não me faltasse uma fitinha que teimei em colocar :p Mas a ideia já está em execução, em breve mostro-vos ;)



E como acontece em todos o inícios de semana, há muitos bloguinhos para visitar, toneladas de emails por responder :p O habitual ;) heheheh

Did you feel it? Did you feel Spring saying hello this weekend? :D
Yesterday the weather was so good that we can actually say that it was warm!
Warm! :) Heheheh While Rui took care of the grass and put in place the chairs and table (which were storaged because of the bad winter weather), I made a new recipe for lunch, put a yogurt cake in the oven and cleaned up the kitchen. Besides the smell of cake in the air, it was so nice to have the doors open - our house has no windows, only large glass doors - and feel the warm air coming in :) In the end we went to buy some new little flowers for the garden :D This is how I like to spend a quality Sunday hehehehe

But before I had stitched my Margaret Sherry kitten, from start to finish :)
I almost made my final piece, if only I wasn't missing a ribbon in the color I wanted :p But the idea is already in progress, I'll show you soon ;)

And as it happens at every new week, I have many blogs catch up, tons of emails to reply :p The usual ;) heheheh A great week to all! :D

Espero que o vosso fim-de-semana tenha sido tão bom quanto o meu! :)
É verdade que o tempo não esteve lá muito bom mas agora temos sol para a semana toda :D E foi bom a chuva e o tempo mais fresco, o meu jardim está bastante grato heheheh Novos botõezinhos começaram a aparecer =)



Também foi óptimo para passar o fim-de-semana com o computador desligado e dedicar-me apenas às agulhas :) O resultado? Está aqui:

Realmente estas meninas têm uma magia sobre mim, fica dificil largar e fazer outra coisa! Até tinha intenção de bordar o bloquinho do Christmas Rules no fim-de-semana mas "Gorjuss --- gorjuss --- gorjuss ---" era só o que o meu coração ouvia :)))

Só falta um urso polar para completar a festa ;) heheheh

It's true that the weather wasn't great but now we have sun for the entire week :D And it was nice to have some rain and cooler temperatures, my garden is very grateful heheheh New flowers are growing =)

It was also good to spend the weekend with my computer shut down, I had two days to enjoy my needles and threads :) The result? Oh well... you can check the picture above ;) Almost-almost-almost another Gorjuss girl ready =)

Really, these girls have a spell on me, it's difficult to drop them and stitch something else! I even had the intention to stitch my Christmas Rules block for this month but "Gorjuss --- gorjuss --- gorjuss ---" was all that my heart was listening :)))

It's only missing a polar bear to complete the party ;) heheheh
