Esta foi a última semana de férias mas correu bastante bem porque já noto uma subida de energia, deu para fazer mais coisas e rentabilizar o tempo :)
Ou seja, bordar bastante antes de voltar ao trabalho! Heheheh

Muito em breve chega a Bia, a bebé da minha amiga Angela, faltam poucas semanas :D E eu terminei mais um presentinho para a pequenina :)

Quando a Angela começou a bordar, gostou muito de uma girafinha mas não cabia em nenhuma das peças que tinha para fazer. Disse-lhe que não ficaria sem a girafinha, eu haveria de inventar onde a colocar ;)
Voilà!! Uma toalhinha de banho com capuz :D

Em relação ao gráfico original, alterei apenas os dois tons de laranja, para que se aproximassem mais da cor da peça. Acho que combinou bem :D

This was our last week of vacation and it went quite well, I noticed I got a bit more energy, had the chance to do more things and make the most of my time :) And by that I mean, stitch a lot before going back to work! heheheh

Very soon Bia will arrive, my friend Angela's baby, just a couple more weeks :D I finished another gift for the little girl :)

When Angela started to stitch, there was a cute giraffe design that she really liked, sadly it didn't fit any of the pieces that she had to make. At that time, I told her I would find a way to use that little giraffe ;) Voilà! A baby bath towel with hoodie :D

From the original pattern, I just changed the two shades of orange, to match the color of my piece. I think it worked pretty well :D I hope Bia will like it =)

pregnancy update! :)

12 semanas+3 dias :) Tivemos consulta ontem, nova ecografia e nova data de contagem, agora a minha semana muda às segundas-feiras! Mas a data prevista de parto mantém-se para dia 12 de Março de 2014 :D

Na ecografia de ontem, vimos o bebé por inteiro! Perninhas a mexer, bracinhos, até os dedinhos nas mãos =) Tão giro! Mexia-se muito, virou-se muitas vezes, foi óptimo para vermos de diferentes prespectivas :D Mas quando a médica queria tirar uma 'foto' de barriguinha para cima.. virou-se de costas! Ahhhhh vai ser reguila :p hahahahaah

Estamos saudáveis e tudo a correr bem! Até hoje não tive qualquer indisposição, nenhum enjoo ou qualquer problema com a comida. Já era hábito fazer várias refeições ao longo do dia e beber bastante água, mantive o ritmo e talvez isso tenho sido bom para nunca ter enjoos.. ou foi pura sorte! Sei lá! :) heheheh A energia começa a subir, ainda não tenho a mesma actividade mas pelo menos já não ando tão sonolenta, o que é óptimo!!

Nos últimos dias recebemos alguns presentes, a avó Vitória ofereceu duas roupinhas muito fofas :)



Já tenho mais algumas que comprei, mostro-vos noutro post ;)

E da minha amiga Cidália recebi uma linda fraldinha :) Infelizmente a foto não mostra metade do que realmente é! Uma fraldinha branquinha com um anjinho pintado a prata e também o debruado a crochet em linha prata metalizada.
Um charme! :) Vou guardar esta para uma data especial ;)



E por hoje é tudo :D

12 weeks+3 days :) We went to the doctor yesterday, new ultrasound and new counting, now my week count is on Mondays! But the expected date of birth remains to 12th March 2014 :D

Yesterday's ultrasound showed us our little baby! Legs moving, little arms up, even tiny fingers =) So cute! Baby was moving a lot, turning around often, it was great for us because we had the chance to see from different perspectives :D But when the doctor wanted to take a 'picture' with his/hers belly up.. he/she turned back! Ahhhhh we will have a naughty baby :p hahahahaah

We are both healthy and doing well! So far, I had no morning sickness or any problem with food. It was usual to make several meals throughout the day and drink plenty of water, I've been doing the same during my pregnancy, perhaps that helped to avoid nausea... or I just had luck! I have no idea :) hehehe My energy is rising a bit, I still don't have the same activity but at least I don't feel so sleepy anymore, that's great!

In recent days we have received a few gifts, grandmother Vitória offered two cute outfits :) I also bought a few clothes, I'll show you on another post ;)

And from my friend Cidália one pretty burp cloth :) Unfortunately the photo doesn't show half of what it really is! A pretty white fabric with an angel painted in silver and also trimmed with silver metallic crochet. Charming! :) I'll save this for a special date ;)

Tenho de começar por agradecer todos os vossos comentários tão simpáticos no post anterior =) O mérito é todo do fotógrafo e do cenário bonito que estava por detrás ;) heheheh Achei curioso que tanto a Annette como a Rita, que já viram outras fotos minhas, acharam-me diferente.. será do cabelo preso? Se calhar sentiram falta dos caracóis que se vêem nesta foto ou nesta :p Prometo que na próxima foto, terei a juba solta! hahahaha ;)

Estão prontas para ficarem perplexas?? Recebi mais um presente de aniversário... simplesmente extraordinário :D Nem sei como descrever o pequeno tesouro que aqui chegou hoje =) A Ritinha já me tinha oferecido um presente no dia de aniversário mas falou que estava a trabalhar numa outra coisa, um handmade que não tinha conseguido concluir a tempo... querem saber se valeu a espera??? :D hahahaah

I received another birthday gift... truly extraordinary :D I don't know how to describe the little treasure that arrived here today =) Rita had already given me a gift on my birthday and said she was working on something else, an handmade she wasn't able to finish in time... do you want to know if it was worth the wait?? :D hahahaah

I've been amazed before by Rita's scrap work but this album... It's something out of this world! :D Rita, no words to thank you for this wonderful gift! I hope soon I'll have the chance to give you one huge and strong hug!! :D

Acredito que não haverá muitas fotos minhas publicadas aqui no blog... eu gosto mais de estar do outro lado da câmara ;) hehehe Mas, na quinta-feira passada, tirei a primeira foto do baby bump e achei que seria giro partilhar :D

Apesar das coxas e ancas largas :p não tinha barriga de gordura,
tudo o que se vê é bebé a crescer :D LOL

Também a crescer estão os meus emails heheheh Estou em dia pela blogosfera mas faltam-me as mensagens, espero responder a tudo durante esta semana ;)
É a ultima semana antes de voltar à realidade do trabalho!! Há que aproveitar estes dias ao máximo :D

Let me tell you, there won't be many photos of myself posted here on my blog... I prefer to be on the other side of the camera ;) hehehe But, last Thursday, I took the first baby bump photo and I thought it would be fun to share with you :D

Although my large hips and thighs :p I had no fat belly, everything you see is baby growing inside :D LOL

Curiosas para ver a minha última menina? :) Está terminada mas ficou dois dias a aguardar o lugar na moldura :p Fomos até Viana do Castelo, visitar a família e passear muito!! :D Deu até para matar saudades da Carol (a minha afilhada/sobrinha de 8 anitos) que estava em Viana também, com a mãe e a avó :D Foram poucos dias, viagem curtinha mas muito bem aproveitada :)



Ainda deu para sentir o cheirinho das festas de Viana :D
Fogo de artificio na ponte sobre o Rio Lima, adoro =)



De volta a casa, agora é para recarregar baterias... tenho blogs para ler, emails para responder e ainda preciso cuidar da minha Gorjuss que espera a sua moldura :) E a vez de ocupar o seu lugar cativo na 'Parede' ;)
Amanhã já terei fotos!!! :D

Curious to see my last girl? :) She's finished but had to wait two days to be place on her frame :p We went to Viana do Castelo, visiting family and lots of sightseeing too! :D I even had the chance to see little Carol (my 8 y.o. niece/ goddaughter) who was also in Viana, with her mother and grandmother :D Just a couple of days, short trip but time very well spent :)

Still we had the oportunitity to enjoy a bit of the city commemorations :D
Fireworks on the bridge above Lima's river, I love it =)

Back home, it's time to recharge batteries... lots of blogs to catch up, emails to reply and I need to take care of my Gorjuss girl who's waiting her frame :) And her place on the 'Wall' ;) Tomorrow I'll have photos!! :D

mystery solved + a bit of Gorjuss to show :)

Abrandei um pouco o ritmo pela blogosfera mas não pensem que estive parada pela web, aliás.. devem ter reparado nos emails a cair nas vossas caixas ;) Tive de me focar um pouco nos emails senão nunca mais recuperava o atraso em tantas mensagens :p Mas acreditem que me divirto muito a escrever a toda a gente :D Só tenho pena das pessoas que não deixam email, mais uma vez vos digo que fica dificil de dar retorno quando não temos para onde enviar =/

Hoje trago mais um update no lentinho progresso da Gorjuss :p Isto de ter um bebé a crescer na barriga faz as outras 'meninas' crescerem mais devagar hehehe Mas crescem! Já faltou mais ;)



Talvez agora (de férias e com os emails todos respondidos hehehe) consiga dar um bom avanço e terminar rapidinho :) Vamos esperar para ver como correm os próximos dias :p

Sobre o mistério do post anterior, já sabia que a 'culpada' se revelaria :D Foi a Cathey (aka Pumpkin), que mesmo estando a passar por uma fase tão dificil na vida, teve a atenção e o carinho de me fazer tal surpresa =) Fez a compra online do Reino Unido e por isso compensava mais enviar directo para Portugal do que encaminhar para o Canadá e retornar à Europa :p Já calculava que a razão seria esta mas não sabia mesmo de quem vinha!

É fantástico como todas vocês continuam a me surpreender! :D Sempre com tanto carinho, atenção, com os gestos mais simples que nos enchem o coração e uma amizade que atravessa todo o globo... Sou muito grata por todas as pessoas fantásticas que tenho conhecido ao longo destes anos, acreditem =)

I had to slow down my pace on the blogosphere but don't think I was away from the web, in fact... you may have noticed a few emails dropping in your inboxes ;) I had to focus on emails or I would never catch up with so many messages :p But believe me, I have so much fun writing back to everyone :D I'm just sorry for those readers who leave no email, I say it again, it's hard to send some return when we have no address to write back =/

Today I bring you another update on the slow progress of my Gorjuss :p Having a baby growing in my belly makes the other 'girls' grow more slowly heheheh But they grow! Every small progress it's a progress ;)

Maybe now (on vacation and with emails answered hehehe) I can speed it up and finish my girl :) Let's wait to see how the next couple of days will flow :p

On the mystery from my previous post, I knew the 'guilty' friend would show herself :D It was Cathey (aka Pumpkin), even when she's going through such difficult moment in life, she had the attention and care to make me such a surprise =) Cathey made ​​the purchase online from the UK, it's easier to send direct to Portugal than to Canada and back to Europe :p I imagined that this would be the reason but I had no idea from who it was coming!!

It's fantastic how you all continue to amaze me! :D Always with so much care, attention, with the simplest gestures that fill my heart and a friendship that crosses over the globe... I'm very grateful for all the wonderful people I have known over the years, believe me =)

the mystery package!!

Chegou por aqui um pacotinho.. sem qualquer remetente! Uma embalagem pesadita, pensei que pudesse ser uma encomenda de livros a chegar mais cedo do que era esperado! Abri o pacote com bastante curiosidade e começo a ver Gorjuss =) Seria outro presente de aniversário, pensei. No interior estava um set de postais+envelopes e um pequeno album de fotos :D



Mas quando digo que era isto que estava no interior, era mesmo isto.
Nada mais, nenhum bilhete, nenhuma cartinha, nenhum remetente no pacote..???!!!??? Fiquei em dúvida se seria para mim ou se alguém teria a morada errada de uma encomenda! LOL Depois de várias vezes confirmar o meu nome na embalagem, convenci-me que seria mesmo para mim e finalmente abri as embalagens para ver os presentes :D haahahha



Agora a quem agradecer estes presentes.. não faço ideia! Mas digo-vos que gostei mesmo muito :D Um caso para o Sherlock Holmes :D

One package arrived on my mail box.. without any sender's name! It was a bit heavy, I thought it might be some books I bought online, being deliver earlier than expected! I open the package with loads of curiosity and I start seeing Gorjuss =) Another birthday present, I thought. Inside there were a set of postcards+envelopes and a small photo album :D

But when I say that this was all the content, it really was. Nothing else, no note, no letter, no sender's name on the package...??!!?? I wondered if it was really meant for me or if someone had the wrong address for an order! LOL After repeatedly confirming my name on the package, I was convinced it was really for me and I finally opened everything to see my gifts :D haahahha

Now who to thank or these gifts.. I have no idea! But I can tell you that I loved it all :D hahahaah A mystery for Mr. Sherlock Holmes :D

happy b-day petite Anne :D

Hoje é dia de aniversário de uma amiga muito querida, a Annette :D O meu post de hoje terá um formato um pouco diferente do habitual, apenas porque vou mostrar as fotos do meu presente e por isso irei acompanhá-las com o texto em inglês. É uma excepção pelo dia de hoje :)

A minha bonequinha perdeu o seu bilhete, acabou por falhar o avião e não chegou lá a tempo de dar um sorriso à Annette.. é verdade, falhei mais uma data de novo! Mas pelo menos consegui terminar para lhe mostrar neste dia ;)

Há dois anos atrás, fiz uma fadinha em needle felting para a Kira (a sua filhota pequenina) e prometi que um dia faria uma boneca para a Annette. Inspirada numa flor que sei que gosta muito, Snowdrops (Campaínhas de Inverno em português), nasceu esta menina :) Trabalhar nos detalhes sempre requer mais tempo do que planeamos ao inicio :p mas agora está pronta para fazer as malas e seguir a sua viagem até à Holanda :D

Se ainda não conhecem o blog da Annette, passem por lá neste dia especial, aposto que a farão sorrir com uma mensagem inesperada ;)

A couple of year ago, I made a needle felting fairy for Kira (Annette's little girl) and I promised one day I would make another doll for yerself. Inspired by one flower that I know Annette loves, this little lady was born :)



Working on details always takes more time than we initially plan :p but now she's finally ready to pack and follow her journey to the Netherlands :D

Não houve muita surpresa por a minha mãe também ter habilidade para as linhas e agulhas =) Será que todas as crafters têm mães crafters também?? :) Eu fiquei bastante contente por ver a minha mãe voltar ao activo depois de largos anos parada nas suas artes. Várias vezes lhe dizia para voltar a fazer uma malhinha e a resposta que me dava era: 'Eu já nem me lembro como se faz!'. Afinal é como andar de bicicleta, não se esquece mais ;) hehehe
Obrigada por todos as palavras simpáticas no trabalho da D.Vitória :D

Estou em dia pela blogosfera, todos os novos posts lidos e muitos comentários espalhados :) Quem tinha muitos posts publicados recentemente, teve igual número de comentários a cair hehehe Posso demorar uns dias a chegar mas gosto de recapitular tudo :D

You weren't surprised with the fact that my mom also has some skills with threads and needles =) Do all crafters have mothers who craft too? :) I was very happy to see my mom back to active after losing her mojo so many years ago. I used to tell her often to knit something and the answer would always be: 'I don't even remember how to do it anymore!'. After all, it's like riding a bike, you never forget ;) Thank you for all the sweet words on Mrs. Vitória's work :D

I'm up to date on the blogosphere, all new posts read and lots of comments spread around :) Who had many recently published posts, had the same number of comments falling hehehe I may take a few days to arrive but I like to recap it all :D

Não comecem já a pensar que vou desaparecer e que este blog vai parar!
Nada disso ;) Falta um pouco de energia, é verdade. Aos fins-de-semana sou capaz de ficar um pouco mais afastada do computador e tal.. mas nunca por muito mais tempo que isso! Este blog é o meu 'happy place' :D heheheh Acho que já não me dou muito tempo sem postar aqui no meu cantinho :) Talvez não tenha tantas fotos de crafts para mostrar mas acredito que haverá actividade! Não serei parte do grupo das grávidas que vira M.I.A. :p (Missing in Action)

Até porque daqui a 3 dias começam as nossas férias :D Trabalho só volta em Setembro ;) Mais tempo para passear e começar a planear o que quero bordar para o baby, ver roupinhas e outras coisas que preciso comprar... haverá muito para partilhar convosco! :D hehehe

E em Setembro também terei mais novidades, próximo mês nasce a Bia :D
Com a chegada da Bia, não sou só eu que tenho experimentado novas peças de bebé, a minha mãe também voltou com as mãos às agulhas! Depois que entrou na reforma, começou a fazer um pouco das suas artes, que já tinha deixado há tantos anos!! A D. Vitória (minha mãe hehehe) fez...



... um casaquinho e uma mantinha para a Bia =) Um miminho!!
As peças foram feitas em branquinho pérola mas as cores da foto não estão no seu melhor, foi tirada ao fim da tarde e ficou meio amarelada com o pôr-do-sol.

A D. Vitória também é habilidosa com as agulhas :D
E agora bem mais outro bebé a caminho e muitas mantinhas para fazer! LOL

Don't start thinking that I will go away and this blog will stop! No way ;)
I may lack a bit of energy, it's true. Maybe on the weekends I'll be a little further away from my laptop... but not much longer than that! This blog is my 'happy place' :D heheheh This bubble space is part of my day :) Maybe I won't have many craft photos to show but I believe there will be some activity here! I won't be part of the group of pregnant women who becomes M.I.A. :p

Especially because in 3 days we start our vacation :D More work only in September ;) Free time to stroll around, start planning what I want to stitch for my baby, see clothes and other things that I'll need to buy... there will be much to share with you! :D hehehe

And in September I will have more news, next month Bia arrives :D
With little Bia coming, I'm not the only one trying new crafts for babies, my mother also had her comeback to the needles! She's retired now, started doing a bit of her old crafts, she had stopped so many years ago! Mrs. Vitória (hehehe my mother) made... a little cardigan and a blanket for Bia =)
So sweet!!

The colors on the photo are not at their best, this was taken in the late afternoon. Both pieces were made in white pearl, the picture was somehow yellowish with the sunset.

Mrs. Vitória is also very skilled with her needles :D
And now there's another baby coming and more blankets for her to make! LOL I've told her, one of each color ;) heheheheh

3 dias sem posts... já tinham lançado o alerta para me procurarem?? :D LOL
Uma pequena pausa mas mesmo assim não é costume neste bloguito ;)
Culpa do fim-de-semana... e deste novo ritmo de grávida :p ehehehe Quem não tem experiência não faz ideia do quanto uma gravidez nos altera o ritmo logo desde o inicio! Estou a aprender que sim ;)

Os crafts também abrandaram muito, só consigo mesmo fazer alguma coisa ao fim-de-semana =/ Queria eu terminar a Gorjuss até ao fim de Julho, que piada! hahahaha Mas já tem roupinha, não falta tudo ;) Mais uns 15 dias e talvez esteja terminada :p hahahahha



Tenho recebido imensos emails, desculpem a demora no retorno mas prometo que todos receberão a minha resposta! :) Só vos peço um bocadinho de paciência, eu chego lá ;) heheheh

Falhei o post de ontem :p Desculpem, o cansaço levou a melhor! O dia foi grande e, pelo meio. a ida aos correios valeu de bom exercício.. Fui a pé mas não sabia os pesados pacotes que me esperavam! LOL Curiosas? :)

Logo que deram uma previsão da nova menina Gorjuss a ser publicado na The World of Cross Stitching, a Cath ofereceu-se para me enviar uma cópia :D Claro que fiquei super contente mas não esperava...



... tudo isto junto! :D Que festa!! Acho que ganhei a colecção toda da Margaret Sherry!!! :D ok, não toda, mas uma grande parte =) Cath, só tinha um deles, praticamente 100% novidade :D Obrigada!! Além de todas as revistas, à esquerda estão imans Gorjuss e borrachinhas que eu adoro! O que me faz lembrar que tenho de vos mostrar a minha colecção de borrachinhas, já prometi antes mas esse post ainda está pendente! Ideia para breve ;)

Acho que o sr. Carteiro fez um intervalo, já não devem andar muitos pacotinhos em viagem, penso que apenas mais um =) Chegará em breve! Agora é a minha vez de mandar cartinhas, muitos selos para comprar!!! ;) LOL

I missed my post yesterday :p Sorry, fatigue won! My day was long and in between I had a little trip to the post office... exercise for the day! I decided to walk but had no idea how heavy were the packages waiting me! LOL Curious? :)

As soon as there was a preview of the new Gorjuss girl to be published on The World of Cross Stitching, Cath offered to send me an issue :D Of course I was super happy but I did not expect... everything-you-can-see-above! :D Look at that photo, what a party for me! I think I won the entire Margaret Sherry collection!! :D Ok, not all, but a large part =) Cath, I had only one of them, almost 100% new :D Thank you so much! Apart from all the magazines, on the left there are 2 Gorjuss magnets and fun erasers for my collection! I love these :) What reminds me that I have to show you my collection, I promised before but that post is still pending! Note taken ;)

Second photo, magazines and a few more treats... tons of napkins for decoupage, a large set of star cutters, plastic key chains to put a stitched piece, one set of scissor and emery board with cute Kokeshis, a box full! :D

I think Mr. Postman is taking a break, there aren't many more packages traveling, I think just one more =) Will arrive soon! Now it's my turn to send some letters, many stamps to buy!!! ;) LOL
