Ando contente com o carteiro! Tem trazido bastantes coisas boas para a minha casinha :) heheheeh Agora chegou o presente do Giveaway que ganhei no blog da Mylene :D



O needleroll mais lindo que já vi :)
Faz tempo que tinha curiosidade para fazer uma peça destas, é a primeira vez que vejo uma na minha mão. E é tão bonito e tão perfeito, fiquei encantada =) Obrigada Mylene!!

Esta semana já termino tudo, está na horinha de enviar por correio ;)
Ainda tinha dois postais do set vermelho/turquesa, fiz um pudim e uma árvore de natal.. e acho que ainda vou bordar mais alguns esta semana :p



Recriei as folhinhas em feltro, não é exactamente o mesmo tom de verde mas acho que ficou bonito :) Esta semana ainda vou inventar mais alguns ;)

I still had two cards from the set red/turquoise, I stitched another Christmas pudding - I recreated the leafs in felt, it's not exactly the same shade of green but I think it's pretty :) - and also a Christmas tree.. I think I'm going to stitch a few more this week :p

Olá pessoal! Como foi o vosso fim-de-semana? Espero que mais quentinho do que o meu :p Por aqui sente-se um frrriiioooo de cortar brrrrr...

Bordei mais motivos para postais mas ainda falta finalizar, concluído só ficou um trio de reninhas:



Gostaram da ideia de aplicar detalhes em feltro? Eu também gostei :) Escolhi três gráficos, nem todos são fáceis de retirar uma parte para a aplicação mas acho que consegui que funcionasse. O mais difícil foi a árvore de natal, recortar o contorno da rena no feltro, é preciso um dose de paciência e outra dose de cuidado heheheh Com papel vegetal copiei a minha rena bordada, apliquei o papel vegetal sobre a revista e tentei adaptar o desenho original ao tamanho do meu bordado. Fiz isto para os três, a bola de neve é mais simples e a estrelinha.. é o meu preferido :)

Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I hope it was warmer than mine :p Here it's really coooold brrrrr...

I did more cross stitch for postcards but I only had time to finish a trio of reinders. Did you like the idea of applying some details in felt? I liked too :)
I chose three charts, not all are easy to 'cut' a part for the application but I think I made it work. The hardest one was the Christmas tree, cuting the outline of the reindeer on the felt, you need a dose of patience and a dose of caution! Lol! I used tracing paper to copy my cross stitched reindeer, then with the tracing paper over the magazine, I tried to adapt the design to the size of my cross stitch. The snowball was definitely the easiest and the one with the star.. is my favorite :)

Depois das fotos do making of, eis a produção terminada :)
Completei seis postais, ainda tenho mais dois livres (não gostei muito das outras opções que vieram como sugestão), estou a pensar repetir a árvore de Natal e o pudim. Embora o pack tivesse apenas um item de cada para aplicar, a árvore precisa apenas de missangas e lantejoulas (ainda sobraram) e as peças para o pudim são fáceis de reproduzir em feltro ;)

After the making of pictures, here's the final production :)
I finished 6 postcards, I still have 2 more free (I didn't really like the other options suggested in the magazine). So, I think I will repeat the Christmas tree and the pudding. Although the pack had only one of each item to apply,
the tree only needs beads/sequins and the pudding pieces I think I'll be
able to re-make with felt ;)

Se não fosse a chuva, o mau tempo contra mim, teria postado no blog todos os dias desta semana! Ontem o céu insitiu em permanecer cinzento por todo o dia, não deu para tirar fotos (com uma luz minimamente decente) para partilhar convosco aqui. Bom, com um dia de atraso mas chegam hoje ;)

If it wasn't the rain, the weather against me, I would have blogged every day this week! Yesterday, the sky insisted on staying gray for the whole day, there was no way to take pictures (with a decent light) to share with you here.
Well, one day late but they're here now :)

The Margaret Sherry's mice trio, stitched on rustic linen 28ct, with kraft card for the base and a little red lace to embellish :) Voilá! My first set of handmade cards is ready.

I don't know if you remember that I won a Halloween giveaway, it was a few days ago but my parcel already crossed the pond (I mean, the ocean) and arrived to my mailbox yesterday :D Thank you Anette! :)
I love these halloween treats, maybe because we have little in Portugal (fortunately it's on a tendency to increase)

This weekend, I'll be working on my Christmas cards, soon it will be time to start posting so that my friends can receive them before Santa visits. :)

borboleta :)

Este foi o meu primeiro bordado em blackwork, ficou desde 2008 até agora a aguardar finalização :p Na altura, peguei um pequeno pedaço de quadrilé para tentar bordar em blackwork, sem qualquer ideia final em mente. Olhei o gráfico, bordei e no fim gostei muito do resultado :) Como tinha sido apenas uma experiência, a tela tinha pouca margem para finalizar... mas também não me consegui desfazer do bordado! Ficou guardado à espera do dia de hoje ;)

Depois de achar um tecido bonito lá costurei mais um saquinho :)



Estou-me a divertir muito a costurar saquinhos :D Lol!
É que agora tenho uns ajudantes novos ;)



Ah pois é! Assim fica tudo muito mais fácil! :D heheheh Agora tenho uma base e um cortador, ninguém me segura na máquina de costura!! :D Lollada!

This butterfly was my first blackwork embroidery, it has been waiting for a finish since 2008 :p At the time, I picked up a little bit of fabric to try to stitch in blackwork, no destination in mind. I liked the pattern, stitched and in the end I loved the result :) Because it had such a little margin, it was difficult to find an idea to finish! I kept it in a drawer, waiting for today ;)

After finding a pretty fabric to sew with my embroidery, I made one more string bag :) You can see I'm having a lot of fun sewing this bags :D Lol! What you didn't know is that I have some new helpers ;) Oh yes! With my roller cutter and cutting mat, no one can stop me from sewing now :D lol!!!

Ficaram a pensar que o meu último bordado foi feito num dia? Uau! Podia ser assim rápida mas não :p Lol! Já tinha começado antes, apenas não postei o andamento (ando a falhar nas fotos dos wips heheheh)
Mas num dia finalizei a peça, ou melhor, numa meia horinha :D hahaha



Que tal, fica uma peça bonita para guardar acessórios, meadas ou mesmo o wip que estamos a fazer? :) Achei que o bordado ficava giro para esse efeito!

Nas minhas andanças pela blogosfera, encontrei alguns posts de RAKs (Random Act of Kindness - Actos de Gentileza Aleatórios), consiste em oferecer um presente a um dos leitores do blog apenas por gentileza. Sem nenhum sorteio ou outra coisa do género, apenas presentear uma pessoa ao acaso. Como eu ando sempre a inventar desculpas para oferecer miminhos às amigas, porque não inventar mais este? :)

Para uma amiga que tive o prazer de conhecer aqui pelo blog e por quem tenho hoje um enorme carinho =) Acabei de enviar este saquinho e no recheio alguns pedaços de diferentes telas para bordar :)



Agora é esperar que o carteiro lhe faça a surpresa e que o presentinho a faça sorrir :D


Did you think that my latest stitching was done in a day? Wow! I could be that fast but I'm not :p lol! I had already started before, just didn't post the progress (I know.. I'm failing on posting my wips photos :p)
But I finished the piece in one day, or should I say in half an hour? :D hahaha

How about, is it a great piece for storing accessories, threads or even a wip? :) I thought the design was good for that purpose!

In my wanderings through the blogosphere, I found some Rak (Random Acts of Kindness) posts , it consists in sending a gift to one blog reader. Without any giveaway or something like that, just for kindness to a random follower. Well, I am always inventing excuses to give little gifts to my friends, why not invent this one too? :)

My first RAK has born! Lol :D To a friend who I had the pleasure of meeting here at my blog and today she has a special place in my heart =) I just sent this string bag with a few treats inside, pieces of different fabrics to stitch :)
Now lets wait for the mailman to surprise her and hope that my gift makes her smile :D

cantinho da minha casa :)

Algumas amigas já me pediram fotos da minha cozinha na casa nova, ainda não postei porque preferia fazê-lo quando estiver tudo a 100%, tudo prontinho como eu quero.. coisa que ainda não aconteceu :p Estamos a aguardar que seja substituída a bancada, ao fim de uma longa espera, lá conseguimos agendar a substituição para daqui a duas semanas. Depois disto espero passar aos 'finalmentes' ;)

Enquanto isto, a única divisão da casa que está completamente pronta, é... a lavandaria! LOL :D É verdade que é uma divisão extra mas devia ser obrigatória em todas as casas contruídas! Dá muito jeito, principalmente para quem sofre da mesma sindrome que eu, a organização ;)

..e com tudo no seu sítio :)



Mas no dia-a-dia, faltava qualquer coisa para dar ambiente neste cantinho, para ser mais a minha cara hehehe Claro que tive de inventar alguma coisa :p

A few friends have asked me for pictures of my new kitchen, I haven't posted because I prefer to do it when everything is 100% done, all ready as I want.. that hasn't happened yet :p We are waiting for the worktop to be replace, after a long wait, we managed to schedule the replacement in two weeks. After that I hope to pass to the final details ;)

Meanwhile, the only room in the house that is completely ready, it's ... the laundry room! LOL :D It's true that this is an extra division but should be mandatory in all homes constructed! It's very handy, especially for those who suffer the same syndrome as me, the organization ;)

Above, photos of the laundry room: 1) at the beginning 2) after some shopping 3) with everything in place :)

But something was missing in this little corner, it needed to be to be 'more me', you know? Of course I had to come up with something :p

Hoje é dia de novidades de ponto cruz :) Na semana passada revirei os linhos na loja onde habitualmente compro o meu material, entre diferentes qualidades/cores/medidas, encontrei uma opção para linho 28ct. (Finalmente!!) Apenas uma cor disponível mas já fiquei feliz! :)

por isso corri para experimentar bordar algo e estava ansiosa por ver o esquema pronto... voilá!

Ando encantada com os gráficos da LHN e desde que vi os enfeites de Natal fiquei com vontade de os fazer todos! :p Não sei se farei todos mesmo mas o primeiro já aqui está :D A neve não se destaca muito mas acho que ficou bonito :) Coloquei missangas vermelhas nas árvores, nos rostos preferi optar por nózinhos franceses. Que tal, estás aprovado? :D

Today I bring cross stitch news :)
Last week I lurked all the linens at my usual store, where I buy my cross stitch supplies. Between different qualities / colors / measures I found an option for 28ct linen. (Finally!!) Only one color available but I was happy! :)

As you know, I'm in a learning and discovering experience (lol!) so, I was anxious to stitch in my new fabric! I was eager to see something ready... voilá! Or should I say 'Fa-la-la'? :D

I've been delighted with the LHN patterns and since I saw the Christmas ornaments I was willing to stitch them all! :p Well, I don't know if I'll make all but the first is already here :D The snow doesn't stand out much but I think it's pretty :) I used red beads near the trees and I chose to stitch french knots for the faces. What do you think, do you like it? :D

Está decidido. Na próxima vida quero ser uma máquina de bordar ponto cruz :p Lollada!! Ao terminar mais este quadrinho, já estava a pensar no bordado que se segue.. a lista é longa! E cresce a cada dia que passa!!! :D hahahah Será que isto só acontece comigo?!?!?
Para não me perder, vou continuar fiel aos quatro projectos que decidi fazer, só depois passo aos outros 1001 ;)

When I was finishing this pattern, I was already thinking about the next one that I want to make.. the list is long! And grows every day!!! :D hahahah
Does this only happen to me?!?!?
I will remain faithful to the four projects that I decided to do, so I won't lose myself! Then I'll step into the 1001 others that I want to stitch ;)

Olá mundo!!! Agora sim, estou de volta a 100% aqui no blog, estava complicado de net em casa mas já é um problema resolvido :)
No bugdate de hoje (o título é mérito da Paty ;) lol!) tenho fotos para vos mostrar da minha joaninha porta-chaves!! :D



Bordei na tag 'Sweet Home' ('Doce Lar') com letrinhas que peguei de um calendário da Margaret Sherry. Queria algo simples mas com um toque diferente, achei especial graça a estas letrinhas por terem nózinhos franceses nas pontas :)



Vejo como pintinhas que combinam com as pintas da joaninha :D



Tudo bem que demorei duas horas com tanto nózinho hahahah mas valeu a pena, ficou como eu queria :D É o primeiro bordado oficial na casa nova LOL!
É gira esta fase, em que tudo é 'o primeiro' na casa nova :p

I'm 100% back here on the blog, our internet problem is finally solved :)
For my bugdate today (title by my friend Paty ;) lol! ) I have photos to show to you, my ladybug keychain! :D

I stitched 'Sweet Home' on the tag, with letters from a Margaret Sherry's Calendar. I wanted something simple but with a twist, I thought this letters were fun for having french knots at the ends :) For me the spots (knots) match with the spots of the ladybug :D

Allthough it took me two hours just to make all these knots hahahah it was worth ;) It's the first official embroidery at my new house LOL! I'm in that phase where all has it 'first' hahahah it's fun! This is my first post :D Bring on the first comments :D

Quem está curioso com os meus próximos projectos? :)
As imagens que vos mostrei há dias, são apenas uma amostra do longo rol
de coisas que gosto/quero bordar... difícil mesmo é decidir o que fazer, afinal, tem de ser um de cada vez :p Passaram-se alguns dias em que não tive tempo bordar nada mas fui ponderando por onde começar, reduzi a lista a 4 :)



Terão todos como destino, as paredes da minha nova casa :D Excepto o varal com os passarinhos que será para fazer um porta-molas de roupa :)

Como estou num processo de mudança de casa, arranjei um sistema para me facilitar a vida (ou não andasse eu, sempre a inventar! lol!) Peguei nos 4 esquemas, separei as respectivas meadas e com 4 saquinhos apenas..



..organizei os meus próximos projectos :)
Assim, posso embalar tudo o resto para a mudança, sem nunca temer de precisar desenterrar nada do inevitável monte de caixas ;) Já tenho 'mantimentos' para as próximas semanas de guerra! Lol!!



Este fim-de-semana comecei o meu ataque, o gatinho Nelson foi o primeiro escolhido na rifa! Lollada :D



E agora já sabem o que tenho pela frente para bordar :)

Who is curious about my upcoming cross stitch projects? :)
The pictures that I posted a few days ago are just a sample of the long list of things that I like / want to stitch... difficult to decide where to start when we really want do make them all :p
In the last days I had no time to stitch anything but I shrunk my list to 4 :)
All with the same destination: the walls of my new home :D Except for the clothesline with the birds, with this one I'll make a bag for clothespins :)

Because I'm in the process of house moving, I got a new system to make my life easier (always inventing! Lol!) I took the 4 patterns, separated the threads I need for each one and with only 4 bags.. I organized my next projects :)

Now, I can pack everything else, without being afraid of having to dig up anything of the inevitable pile of boxes ;) I'm ready with 'provisions' for the weeks of war! Lol! This weekend I started my attack, Nelson kitten was the first in the raffle! :D

And now you know what I have ahead to stitch :)
More news for this week: I'll launch a giveaway! Be aware ;)

coelhinhos prontos :)

Passaram-se uns dias bem atarefados por aqui, junto com uma chuvinha que insiste em ficar =/ No Sábado fomos para Viana do Castelo, passar o fim-de-semana mas voltámos cedo, o tempo estava mesmo desagradável!
Aproveitei o passeio para comprar mais algumas bonequinhas minhotas para enviar às amigas :)



Mas a viagem mais curta também tem o seu lado positivo = tempo livre para pegar a máquina de costura :D E eis que surgem os meus coelhinhos 'Somebunny to Love' na sua versão almofada :)



Pegar na máquina de costura e finalizar uma peça com o nosso bordado é,
sem dúvida, uma satisfação imensa!! Dá gosto bordar mas completar o nosso trabalho do inicio ao fim, ver surgir uma nova peça nas nossas mãos,
é excepcional :D

Busy days around here, along with a boring rain that insists on staying =/ On Saturday we went to Viana do Castelo, to spend the weekend but we came back early, the weather was really nasty! I took the opportunity to buy a few more traditional dolls to send to friends :)

But the shorter trip also has its positive side = free time to grab my sewing machine :D I made my 'Somebunny to Love' pillow :)
Being able to use the sewing machine to finish a piece with our embroidery is undoubtedly an immense satisfaction! It's a pleasure stitching but complete our work from beginning to end, to see emerge a new piece in our hands, is exceptional :D
