Day #4 handmade ornaments

Os enfeites handmade são uma presença constante na casa de qualquer crafter! :) Curioso que não tenho nenhum enfeite feito por mim para a árvore de Natal. Já fiz imensos ao longo dos anos mas sempre oferecidos ou enviados em troquinhas! Por outro lado, tenho uma grande colecção de lindas peças que fui recebendo ao longo dos anos, enviadas dos quatro cantos do globo :D

Costumo espalhar os diferentes bordados e feltros pela casa, cada qual num sitio especial. Este ano fiz algo diferente. Temos um conjunto de prateleiras onde colocamos várias fotos da família e amigos, uma espécie de memorabilia, com momentos que gostamos de recordar :) Resolvi decorar essas mesmas prateleiras, intercalando as fotos com os enfeites handmade que me recordam cada amiga que os fez :D Não vos irei mostrar aqui no blog porque são fotos pessoais (e não apenas nossas), não é algo que vá publicar aqui mas garanto-vos que ficou um display bonito =)

Para preencher a lacuna dos enfeites feitos por mim, reuni algumas ideias de peças que tenho mesmo de tentar fazer :D Acho que vocês conseguem adivinhar qual é o mais especial aqui ;) hehehehe



Handmade ornaments are a constant presence in any crafter's house! :) It's curious the fact than I don't have one single tree ornament made by.. me :p I've done plenty over the years but always offering or sending on exchanges! On the other hand, I have a large collection of beautiful pieces I've been gathering over the years, sent from all four corners of the globe :D

I usually spread the different stitched and felted pieces around the house, each one in a special place. This year I did something different. We have a set of shelves where we put photos of family and friends, a sort of memorabilia, with moments we like to remember :) I decided to decorate those same shelves, placing between the photos, all the handmade ornaments that remind me each friend who made it :D I won't show you here because it has personal pictures (not just ours), it's not something that I'll publish but I assure you it's a beautiful display =)

To fill the gap of my own handmade ornaments, I have a list of ideas that I really need to give it a try :D I think you can guess which one is most special on the mosaic ;) hehehehe

Nada como um fim-de-semana de sol para nos baralhar os planos todos!
Quem adivinha quantos pontinhos fiz no 6 Fat Men?? Ouvi zero? Alguém disse zero?? Bingo!! :p Nem uma cruzinha, o terceiro bloquinho ainda está por começar! O sol inspirou a fazer uma limpeza no meu craft room, ou seja, lá se foi um dia inteiro! hehehe Também foi bom para tirar fotos, ainda não tinha mostrado os enfeites que finalizei com os dois bordados da semana passada:

Mas o ponto alto deste fim-de-semana foi ontem :D Saímos para jantar com um casal de amigos e traziam a boa noticia de que vão ser papás!!! :D A minha amiga com o primeiro bebé a caminho, a minha cunhada já a trabalhar para o segundo... acho que tenho de abrir a fábrica também ;) LOLLADA!!

Claro que comecei logo a pensar no que vou bordar e no próximo fim-de-semana já vou pôr a pré-mamã a folhear revistas e a dizer-me as coisas que gosta :D ehehehhe Eu que "nem gosto nada" de fazer coisinhas de bebé ;) ehhehehe Este ano vai ser muito interessante!! :D

There's nothing like a sunny weekend to mess up all our plans!
Can you guess how many stitches I made on 6 Fat Men?? Did I hear zero? Someone said zero?? Bingo!! :p I din't even start the 3rd block, not a single stitch! With all this sun I got inspired to clean up my craft room, which means, a whole day was gone! hehehe But it was also good to take pictures, I hadn't posted my ornaments from my last week!

But the highlight of this weekend was yesterday :D We went out for dinner with a couple of friends and they brought the good news that they're having a baby!! :D My friend with the first baby on the way, my SIL already working on the second baby... I think it's time for me to open the factory too ;) LOOOLLL!!

Of course I immediately started thinking about things to stitch and next weekend I'll put all my magazines on pre-mom's hands, to flip pages and pages and tell me what she loves :D ehehehhe I "don't even like" to make baby things ;) ehhehehe This year it's going to be sooooo interesting!! :D

handmade Christmas ♥

Estão todos a aproveitar para relaxar nestes últimos dias do ano?
Pós-natal sabe bem abrandar um pouco e ficar em casa, no quentinho e no sossego, não é? É o clima de Natal ainda no ar ;)

No post anterior mostrei-vos o que recebi, agora mostro-vos um pouco do que enviei. O tempo foi muito curto, não foi possível fazer tantos presentes quanto gostaria mas ainda fiz umas coisinhas.



Com uma ideia que vi online, peguei nas minhas caixinhas de botões e comecei a fazer os postais de Natal. Achei a ideia fofa e bem colorida :)



A Annette fez várias árvores em crochet, branquinhas e muito bonitas.
Eu peguei a linha verde, adicionei um guizinho e fio dourado... assim nasceu um enfeite :)



O que requer mais tempo é o amigurumi, podemos fazer uma variedade de coisas muito fofas mas requer bastante tempo!! Consegui fazer dois anjinhos, uma versão vermelha (que ainda está a caminho do destino) e outra cor-de-rosa que já foi recebido pela Valérie :) Ainda consegui fazer uma kokeshi para a Ritinha :D



Outra ideia que fiz em quantidade, enfeites com canela que coloquei nos pacotinhos que enviei, com a intenção de dar um 'cheirinho a Natal' nos pacotes de presentes e trocas :) Não sei se resultou para perfumar mas de qualquer modo fica sempre bonito a decorar :D Fiz alguns para mim também ;)



Nesta época do ano, o tempo é sempre curto para tudo o que gostariamos mas fiquei contente com as pequeninas coisas que consegui fazer :)

Is everyone taking the opportunity to relax in these last days of the year?
Post-Christmas time, feels good to slow down a bit and stay at home, warm and quiet, right? It's the Christmas mood still in the air ;)

In the previous post I showed you all the sweet gifts I've received, now I'm showing you some of what I sent. Time was very short, it wasn't possible to make as many gifts as I'd like to but I managed to make a few things.

Following an idea I saw online, I picked up my boxes of buttons and started creating the Christmas cards. I think this looks so cute and colorful :)

Annette made ​​several trees in crochet, all white and very beautiful. I tried to make the same with green yarn, adding with a little jingle and golden cord...
...Thus was born an ornament :)

Amigurumi is a craft that takes too long to make a small piece, we can make adorable dolls but it really requires a lot of time! I managed to make two little angels, red version (which is still on the way to the destination) and another pink version which has been received by Valérie :) I also made a new kokeshi for Rita :D

To finish, another idea I made in quantity, cinnamon ornaments that I put inside the packages I sent by mail, with the intention to give a 'Christmas scent' to all gifts and exchange packages :) I'm not sure if it worked but in the end it's also pretty to decorate :D I made a few for my home too ;)

When Christmas comes, time is never enough for everything we'd like but I'm happy with the little things I was able to make :)

it's a good day :)

Primeira razão para começar o meu dia com um sorriso: estou actulizada por todos os blogs! Uhuuuu :D Consegui recuperar o atraso! Ok, tive de fazer umas horinhas extra ontem à noite, a melhor hora é quando toda a gente está a dormir assim ninguém está a escrever novos posts ao mesmo tempo ;) E hoje de manhã já espreitei o google reader para ler os últimos seis posts que estavam em falta :D #happyNia

Tenho uma longa jornada pela frente com os emails, a minha caixa continua lotada :p Na semana passada tinha mais de 200 mensagens, até sexta consegui baixar para menos de 100 mas.. todos os dias cresce! eheheh Eu adoro receber emails, não estou a reclamar, continuem a escrever :) Só peço desculpa pela demora no retorno mas eu respondo, ninguém está esquecido!! =)

Outra razão para sorrir: a minha segunda (e última) troquinha de Natal foi entregue no destino, já vos posso revelar um bordado que fiz e estava guardado no segredo dos deuses :) #happyNia

Vocês já sabem como adoro coisas fofas, com gosto de rosa e azul, claro que este enfeite é a minha cara :) hehehe Mas tentei escolher algo que agradasse a quem fosse receber, simples e fofo, espero que a Kate tenha gostado! =)

Estou contente por saber que as minhas duas troquinhas foram entregues ao destino antes do Natal :) #happyNia Ainda bem que comecei a prepara tudo bem cedinho, no inicio do mês já tinhas as caixas prontas a postar, estavam só a aguardar a data! De resto, estou atrasada com tudo :p Estou atrasada com o Natal!!! hahahaah Mas o Pai Natal não se atrasa, não se preocupem, tenho a certeza que o meu atraso não irá atrapalhar ninguém ;)

É verdade que o tempo nunca chega para fazer tudo o que queremos mas este ano para mim é uma estreia! Nunca cheguei ao dia 19 de Dezembro com tudo por embrulhar :p O mais habitual é montar a árvore no dia 1 e já ter quase todos os embrulhos prontos para colocar debaixo da árvore! Já estão a ver a diferença este ano, certo? Mas, com boa vontade, tudo se resolve :) Não foi tão cedo quanto nos outros anos mas ninguém ficará sem presente =) hehehe Logo à noite tenho encontro marcado junto à árvore de Natal, vou embrulhar todos os presentes para a familia e amigos, ou seja... Festa de papel de embrulho e fita!!! #happyNia As crianças divertem-se com as coisas mais simples ;) LOL

First reason to start my day with a smile: I'm up to date on my blog reading! Uhuuuu :D I finally managed to catch up! Ok, I had to do a couple of extra hours late last night, the best time is when everyone is sleeping so no one is writing new posts at the same time ;) And this morning I peeked on google reader to read the last six posts missing :D #happyNia

I do have a long journey ahead with my email box, loads of emails to reply :p Last week I had over 200 messages, until Friday I was able to drop the count to less than 100 but... it grows everyday! eheheh I love getting emails, I'm not complaining, continue to write :) I just need to apologize for my delay to write back but I'll answer, no one is forgotten! =)

Another reason to smile: my second (and last) Christmas exchange was delivered to its destination, I can reveal my last secret stitching :) #happyNia You all know how I love cute things, how I love pink and blue, 'Penguin Hugs' is clearly 'me' :) hehehe But I tried to pick something that would please the person who would receive it, simple and cute, I hope Kate enjoyed it! =)

I'm glad to know that my two exchanges were delivered to their destination before Christmas :) #happyNia So glad I started preparing everything very early, at the beginning of the month I had both packages ready to post, just waiting for the date! One less thing to be behind now :p I'm late with Christmas!! hahahaah But I won't hold Santa, don't worry, I'm sure that my delay won't hinder anyone ;)

It's true that time is never enough for all we want but this year is a first for me! Never ever I got to the 19th of December with anything wrapped yet :p The most common situation is to put up my tree on the 1st and already having almost all gifts ready to put under the tree! You're noticing the difference this year, right? But with good will, everything can be solved :) It wasn't as early as in other years but no one will spend Chritsmas without gift in my house =) hehehe This evening I have a date near my Christmas tree, I'll wrap all gifts for family and friends, that means... Party time with wrapping paper and ribbon!! #happyNia Children have fun with the simplest things ;) LOL

Hoje é a revelação de um bordado que fiz há.. 2 meses talvez :p hehehhe Comecei cedo a preparar as trocas que tinha, talvez se recordem disso, na altura bordei mas tive de guardar no segredo dos deuses!

Fizemos uma troca de Inverno, no blog de fãs da Margaret Sherry, saiu à Verónica ter-me como Pai Natal secreto!



Da revista Cross Stitch Crazy 157, um bonequinho de neve com dois amigos :) Um dos passarinhos traz um coração no bico heheheh Eu gosto de inventar e dar um twist diferente às peças ;) Acham que resultou bem? :p



Por aqui o sr. Carteiro também tem entregue pacotinhos :D

Today I can reveal something I made about... 2 months ago, I think :p hehehhe I started preparing my exchanges early, you probably remember I stitched a couple of things and had to keep it under wraps!

We're doing a winter exchange, on Margaret Sherry fan blog, I was Verónica's secret Santa! From Cross Stitch Crazy 157, a cute snowman and his two friends :) One of the birds brings a heart in its beak heheheh I like to put my own little twist ;) What do you think, did it work? :p

Mr. Postman has also delivered a few packets here :D

Um dos meus objectivos para 2012 é fechar o ano com a gaveta de UFOs vazia, ou seja, nenhum bordadinho já completo mas à espera de ser finalizado. O fim do ano já não vai muito longe, desconfio que não vou conseguir fazer tudo :p Mas se acabar o ano com a gaveta mais vazia do que estava em Janeiro...
...já é positivo, não acham? ;)

Quando bordei este bonequinho, tive uma ideia para finalizar usando um tecido no mesmo azul (alterei em relação à cor original) com estrelinhas brancas. Dei azar, já não consegui mais encontrar o tecido que queria! Desanimei e o bordado acabou por ficar mais de um ano na gaveta. É no que dá quando idealizamos algo e não encontramos o material exacto que queremos :p

Decidi tomar uma atitude, desistir da ideia inicial e simplesmente criar outra coisa! Comecei a brincar com tecidos e feltros, peguei umas fitinhas.. no fim, fiquei com um feltro turquesa e uma fita com o duo de cores perfeito! :D



Nunca tinha finalizado um enfeite com feltro e ponto caseado, decidi experimentar depois de ver alfineteiro assim num dos blogs que sigo. Achei a mistura interessante! :) Gostava de vos mostrar de onde surgiu a inspiração mas não encontro o blog onde vi =/ Ficou-me a ideia na mente, deveria ter ficado o link também!! :p

O que acharam da ideia? Gostaram do feltro ou ficaria mais giro com um tecido estampado? E o ponto caseado no contorno, ficou bonito ou nem por isso?
Venham daí as vossas opiniões! :)

Thank you ladies!!

One of my goals for 2012 is to close the year with my UFO drawer empty, all that was stitched should be finished as well. There's not too much time left, I suspect I won't be able to accomplish that :p But if I have a shorter number of items than back in January... it's a positive thing, don't you agree? ;)

When I stitched this snowman, I had an idea to finish using fabric with matching blue (I changed it from the original design) and white stars. Unluckily for me, I could no longer find the fabric I wanted! I got discouraged and my snowman ended up in the drawer for over a year. That's what happens when we have a specific idea and we can't find the supplies we want :p

I decided to take action, quit my initial idea and just create something else!
Started playing with fabrics and felts, grabbed some ribbons... in the end, I had turquoise felt on my hand and a ribbon with the perfect color duo! :D

I've never done any ornament with felt and blanket stitch, I decided to try this after seeing a pretty pincushion on one of the blogs that I follow. I thought it was an interesting mix! :) I'd like to show you from where the inspiration came but I can't find the blog where I saw it =/ The idea was stuck on my mind, the link should have been too! :p

So, what do you think? Do you like the felt or would you prefer with printed fabric instead? What about the blanket stitch around the edge, pretty or not so much? Come on, shout out your opinion!! :)

Fiquei de voltar ontem à noite para postar mais uns bordadinhos mas acabámos por decidir ir ao cinema! Foi jantar e sair logo, já não deu tempo de passar por aqui nem nos vossos blogs, hoje vou me redimir disso ;) ehhehehe Vimos o último filme do Sherlock Holmes, não teve momentos tão engraçados como o primeiro mas gostei bastante mais deste, o jogo foi mais cativante :)

Para a minha troca de Natal com a June, bordei um bonequinho de neve da San-Man, faz muito tempo que estava na minha lista de preferidos!! Bordei em linho azul claro e para o verso utilizei o tecido que se vê de fundo:

Sabendo que a Noni adora gatinhos, para a troca de postais da Margaret Sherry só podia sair gato!!! ;) heheheh Dei um pequeno twist ao meu jeitinho =) Em vez de bordar o azevinho que o gato trazia ao pescoço, como está no gráfico, fiz as folhinhas em feltro e as bagas em missanga. Rematei com o mesmo num tamanho um pouco maior, no canto superior do postal :)



E finito nas linhas de 2011!! :D Acho que finalmente postei tudo o que fiz no ano que já vai lá atrááááás :p heheheh Agora, trabalhar e aproveitar os furinhos do dia para visitar os vossos blogs e encher as vossas caixas de email :D

Last night I was supposed to returned and post my last stitching from 2011 but... we ended up going to the movies! I had to go out right after dinner, there was no time to come here or even to visit your blogs, today I will redeem myself ;) ehhehehe We watched Sherlock Holmes - A Game of Shadows, not as many funny momments as the first but I liked this much more, the game was more captivating :)

Well, now showing my last 2011 finishes! :)

For my Christmas exchange with June, I stitched a snowman by San-Man, it has been on my list of favorites for a long time! Stitched on light blue linen and for the back I used the pink fabric that you can see on the picture.

...and another one for Kim :)

Knowing that Noni is a cat lover, for our Margaret Sherry postcard exchange, only a cat could come out! :) heheheh I gave it a little twist in my own way =) Instead of stitching the mistletoe around the cat's neck, as it is in the chart, I made leaves with felt and berries with beads. Final touch, the same mistletoe but a little bigger, at the top of the postcard :)

It's the end for 2011! :D I think I finally posted everything I made last year :p Now, time to work and take all the little breaks on the day to read your blogs and fill your mailboxes :D Happy Tuesday to all! :D

Muito obrigada por todas as palavras simpáticas no progresso da Bluebell :)
Não vou começar nada novo por agora, pretendo aproveitar os furinhos de tempo durante a semana para preencher os furinhos no vestido azul ;) hehehe

Como sabem neste fim-de-semana voltei a bordar a minha fada, no outro fim-de-semana anterior finalizei o saco com a bruxinha... huummm... o que será que fiz neste intervalo? :p Estou numa disposição de terminar as coisas já começadas, por isso, saiu mais ufo da gaveta!!



Eeeeeeee palminhas para mim que finalizei um boneco de neve que já estava bordado desde o inicio do ano!!! hahahahah :D

E porque aprender nunca é demais, estou de volta à escola! :)




Estou a seguir um curso online de crochet, dado pela simpática Dana, do blog Craftyminx :) Já sabia umas coisinhas básicas mas afinal.. estou a reaprender! A corrigir aquilo que já fazia.. mal :p LOL e a aprender muitas coisas novas! Tem sido bem divertido :)

Começámos pelo b-á-bá, os pontos básicos...



... mas quem sabe se daqui a umas poucas semanas já não serei capaz de 'construir' alguma coisa!! :D Estou ansiosa por isso! :)

As you know, this last weekend I went back to my fairy, on the other weekend before I finished my little witch string bag... huummm... Anyone wondering what I did in between? :p I'm in the mood to finish things, so, one more ufo out of the drawer! Uhuuuu clap your hands for me because I finished a snowman that was already stitched since early this year! hahahahah :D

And because learning is never too much, I'm back to school! :)
I'm following the awesome crochet classes by Dana from Craftyminx :) I knew a few basic crochet things but... I'm relearning! Learning new things and fixing what I did - wrong :p lol - before! It's been really fun :)
Still have a lot to practice but, who knows, maybe in a few weeks from now I'll be able to actually 'build' something! :D I'm looking forward to it!

Finalmente um fim-de-semana sem trabalho, só diversão :D Tempo 100% livre para mim e para a minha 'to-do' lista... que nunca é pequena :p hehehe Resultado? Várias fotos para partilhar convosco :)

Terminei o meu Pink SAL, a contribuição para o projecto da DMC. Bordado terminado, embalado e já seguiu por correio esta manhã :)

Finalizei o enfeite de Natal, da Lizzie Kate:



E, ainda na fila dos wips, finalizei o meu outro bordado da Lizzie Kate. Tinha pensado fazer uma botinha de Natal, ou um set de cartas, mas o tecido (ou a falta dele Lol) não deu! Quando comecei a bordar, fi-lo sem ter nada em mente, apenas porque gostei do gráfico. Para estas duas ideias, precisava de mais margem de linho.. fica a lição para a próxima ;)

Costurei um saquinho para presente :D

I finished my Pink SAL, the contribution for DMC's project. It's finished, packed and already sent by mail this morning :)

I finished my ornament, 'Dear Santa I Want It All', by Lizzie Kate.
Also, my other LK, 'Dear Santa Can Explain' :) I thought of making a Christmas stocking, or a letter set, but the fabric (or lack Lol) didn't help! When I started stitching this one, I didn't had anything in mind, I just liked the chart. So, for these two ideas, I needed more margin of linen.. lesson learnt for the next ;)
I ended up sewing a string bag that I'll use as a Christmas gift package :D

All my wips are done! uhuuuuu :D
Back to my normal pace and with only one stitching in hands, Margaret Sherry's mice, that I'm anxious to get back to :)

Hoje é dia de novidades de ponto cruz :) Na semana passada revirei os linhos na loja onde habitualmente compro o meu material, entre diferentes qualidades/cores/medidas, encontrei uma opção para linho 28ct. (Finalmente!!) Apenas uma cor disponível mas já fiquei feliz! :)

por isso corri para experimentar bordar algo e estava ansiosa por ver o esquema pronto... voilá!

Ando encantada com os gráficos da LHN e desde que vi os enfeites de Natal fiquei com vontade de os fazer todos! :p Não sei se farei todos mesmo mas o primeiro já aqui está :D A neve não se destaca muito mas acho que ficou bonito :) Coloquei missangas vermelhas nas árvores, nos rostos preferi optar por nózinhos franceses. Que tal, estás aprovado? :D

Last week I lurked all the linens at my usual store, where I buy my cross stitch supplies. Between different qualities / colors / measures I found an option for 28ct linen. (Finally!!) Only one color available but I was happy! :)

As you know, I'm in a learning and discovering experience (lol!) so, I was anxious to stitch in my new fabric! I was eager to see something ready... voilá! Or should I say 'Fa-la-la'? :D

I've been delighted with the LHN patterns and since I saw the Christmas ornaments I was willing to stitch them all! :p Well, I don't know if I'll make all but the first is already here :D The snow doesn't stand out much but I think it's pretty :) I used red beads near the trees and I chose to stitch french knots for the faces. What do you think, do you like it? :D

xmas giveaway ☃

Finalmente terminei o meu Pai Natal, a tempo de distribuir presentinhos na noite de 24 ;) hehehhehe A demora foi pelo feltro preto, para os sapatinhos, que estava esgotado nas lojas então precisei encomendar online!
Chegou a lã, feltrei os sapatinhos e... cheguei à conclusão que preferia o branco inicial! lol!! Fui pelos conselhos que me deixaram aqui no blog, quando pedi sugestões, o preto pareceu-me bem mas achei que o branquinho fica mais fofo... são ideias! hehehehe

Gostava de conseguir enviar um presentinho handmade a todas as amigas mas o tempo é curto demais! Que tal um giveaway para vos aquecer um bocadinho o coração? :) Não será presente para todas mas é uma hipótese de receberem este Pai Natal para a vossa casinha =) Gostavam? :)

I finally finished my Santa ornament! The delay was because the black wool, for the shoes, was out of stock in local stores so I had to order online!
I got the wool, felted the shoes and... I like the original white more! lol! When I asked for suggestions, the idea with the black seemed good but int the end... I can say I prefer the white! I don't know why... I guess the white pompoms look cute! hehehehe
I wish I could send a handmade gift to all my friends but time is too short! How about a giveaway to warm your heart a little? :) It won't be a present for all but a chance to receive this Santa ornament stitched by me for your home =) Would you like it? :)

Mais uma ideia da revista Cross Stitcher, que eu adoro =)



E mais uma vez um botão difícil! lol! :D Para quem não acompanhou nos posts anteriores, estes botões sugeridos na revista Cross Stitcher são difíceis de encontrar, apenas por compras online e internacionais (o que já não me deu tempo de conseguir entrega a tempo do Natal, ficou a lição para o próximo ano! heheheh) Mas consegui lhe dar a volta com sucesso :)

Adoro esta fadinha, saiu no número seguinte ao Pai Natal e ao anjinho :)
Na primeira vez que lhe bati os olhos disse logo 'vou bordar esta!'. Daqueles gráficos fofos que nos encantam logo no primeiro olhar, fica impossível resistir!


Detalhe dos sapatinhos =)

Endureci o bordado (como para um iman) e coloquei feltro branco no verso para ficar a peça mais fofa e delicada. Para quem estiver a questionar como apliquei o feltro ou o botão, respondo já: super cola, sem grandes truques ;) Para segurar o botão, cortei o pauzinho de um fósforo. Falta apenas aplicar um cordão branco e fica o enfeite prontinho! Embora na revista venha como topo de árvore, preferi fazer enfeite :)

Tenho muitas coisas para vos mostrar nos próximos dias, para compensar a últimas semanas mais paradas ;) hehehehe Estou a pensar fazer um giveaway mas ainda não defini bem 'o quê' nem 'como' farei... estejam atentas ;)

And once again a difficult button! lol! :D For those who haven't been following my posts, these buttons suggested in Cross Stitcher magazine are hard to find, I can only get them by shopping online and international (which didn't give me time to get delivery in time for Christmas, it was a lesson to the next year! heheheh) But I managed to complete it successfully, my little star button it's not the same but it works perfectly :)
I love this little fairy =) The minute I saw it in the CS I said "I have to make this!". Just one of those cute graphics impossible to resist!
I have many things to show you in the next days :) I'm also thinking of doing a giveaway here but.. I don't know yet 'what' or 'how' I'll do it... be aware ;)

1º enfeite de natal =)

O meu primeiro enfeite de Natal bordado! :D

Depois da minha hesitação inicial, por causa da trama do tecido ser mais larga do que o habitual, tanto olhei para o bordadinho que já me habituei! lol! Acho que foi por não estar habituada, notava muito a diferença em relação aos outros tecidos que estou habituada a usar para bordar. Agora já gosto mais :) Mas continuo a achar que esta trama não é muito minha amiga hahahaha Fica dificil para costurar pois não tem tanta resistência quanto o quadrilé, tive de inventar (mais uma vez) para chegar à peça final que idealizei ;) Como não ficava bem costurado, optei mesmo pela cola! Queria que ficasse bonito mas também resistente... dois dias à experiência na minha árvore de Natal e passou no teste: não caiu, não se desmontou! :p lollada!



Ficou um pouco maior do que tinha idealizado mas acho que ficou fofo... muitoooo fofo!!! =) Adorei vê-lo na minha árvore mas não é para ficar aqui, este vai decorar noutra casinha ;) Logo que tiver oportunidade vou fazer meia dúzia para a minha! Com certeza!! :D

Por enquanto, tenho mais presentes a terminar, são prioridade :)
Alguns posso vos mostrar, aqueles que serão para amigos ou familiares que não espreitam o meu blog heheeh Temos de manter a surpresa ;)

My first christmas ornament! :D
After my initial hesitation with this fabric (wider than usual) I looked at it so much that I already got used to it! lol! Now I really like my embroidery :) But I still think that this evenweave is not much of 'my friend' hahahaha It is difficult to sew because it is less structered, I had to come up (again) with creative ideas to reach the final piece that idealized ;) I couldn't stitch it so.. glue!
I wanted it to look pretty but also resistant... 2 days experiencing in my Christmas tree and passed the test: it didn't fall, it didn't dismantled! :p LOL!
In the end, it was a little larger than what I had in my mind but I think it's cute ... really-really cute! =) I loved to see it in my tree but it's not staying here, this will decorate another house ;) Once I'll have the chance (time!) I'll make half a dozen for me! Definitely! :D
For now, I have more handmade gifts to complete, it's priority :)
Some I can show here, those who will be for friends or family who don't read my blog hehehe We have to keep the surprise ;)
One of the finalized gifts, slippers for a fan of ladybugs of course! :) For a special detail, I added the funny eyes hehehe
