MSherry Sketchbook

Mudança de planos nas metas para este mês, a fadinha Bluebell foi adiada por algumas semanas, vou esperar pela Cathey para bordarmos juntas :) De certo que não vamos bordar exactamente ao mesmo passo, o SAL do Christmas Rules é fácil de dividir um bloco por mês, com a Bluebell é começar e avançar! Julgo que vai ser interessante ver o mesmo desenho a crescer feito por diferentes mãos, além de que, uma irá motivar a outra para bordar e terminar ainda mais rápido ;) Enquanto espero, não faltam coisas que quero bordar, a minha lista é looooonga!!! :p hahahahah

Ando desanimada com a Cross Stitcher, gostei da mudança que fizeram há meio ano atrás, deram uma refrescada no layout da revista e surgiram com algumas ideias novas. Estava bastante interessante. Entretanto.. descarrilou!
O tipo de gráficos mudou muito, mesmo muito!! =/

Na sexta-feira recebi a edição 241, pela primeira vez, não encontrei uma única coisa que me desse vontade de pegar na agulha e bordar.. momento triste quando cheguei à última página =( Não digo que sejam coisas feias, apenas não é o meu estilo...



Sinto falta de gráficos mais fofos e doces =) Sinto falta de quando abria a revista e o que mais desejava era ter tempo para bordar tudo!!

Como as últimas edições não têm nada que me cative, decidi voltar atrás no tempo (que é como quem diz, nas revistas) e pegar aquela selecção de gráficos da época em que não havia tempo para se bordar tudo o que se gostava :p

Change of goals for this month, my Bluebell fairy was delayed a few weeks, I'll wait a little to stitch along with Cathey :) For sure we won't stitch exactly at the same step, Christmas Rules is easy to split a block per month, with Bluebell it's just start and go! That will probably be even more interesting, to see the same design 'growing' by different hands, also we will motivate one another to stitch and finish faster ;) While I wait, there are many things I want to make, my list is looooong!! :p hahahahah

I'm disappointed with Cross Stitcher, I liked the change of look made six months ago, it was a nice layout refresh in the magazine and came up with some new ideas. It was quite interesting. However... totally derailed! The type of patterns changed a lot, really a lot! =/

On Friday I got 241th edition, for the first time, I didn't find one thing that would make me jump and grab my needle... sad moment when I reached the last page =( I'm not saying that it's all ugly, just not my style. I miss those cute and sweet patterns =) I miss that moment when I opened my magazine and all I wished for was having the time to stitch everything!

Since I'm not happy with the latest CS issues, I'm going back in time (magazines) and grabbing that selection of patterns to stitch, from the era where there was no time to sew everything I liked :p

Post-its will start to disappear ;)

cantinho da minha casa :)

Algumas amigas já me pediram fotos da minha cozinha na casa nova, ainda não postei porque preferia fazê-lo quando estiver tudo a 100%, tudo prontinho como eu quero.. coisa que ainda não aconteceu :p Estamos a aguardar que seja substituída a bancada, ao fim de uma longa espera, lá conseguimos agendar a substituição para daqui a duas semanas. Depois disto espero passar aos 'finalmentes' ;)

Enquanto isto, a única divisão da casa que está completamente pronta, é... a lavandaria! LOL :D É verdade que é uma divisão extra mas devia ser obrigatória em todas as casas contruídas! Dá muito jeito, principalmente para quem sofre da mesma sindrome que eu, a organização ;)

Mas no dia-a-dia, faltava qualquer coisa para dar ambiente neste cantinho, para ser mais a minha cara hehehe Claro que tive de inventar alguma coisa :p

Digam lá se não tem tudo a ver com o espaço? :D

A few friends have asked me for pictures of my new kitchen, I haven't posted because I prefer to do it when everything is 100% done, all ready as I want.. that hasn't happened yet :p We are waiting for the worktop to be replace, after a long wait, we managed to schedule the replacement in two weeks. After that I hope to pass to the final details ;)

Meanwhile, the only room in the house that is completely ready, it's ... the laundry room! LOL :D It's true that this is an extra division but should be mandatory in all homes constructed! It's very handy, especially for those who suffer the same syndrome as me, the organization ;)

But something was missing in this little corner, it needed to be to be 'more me', you know? Of course I had to come up with something :p

Com as joaninhas que bordei do Sketchbook da Margaret Sherry, tinha a ideia de fazer um saquinho, com tecido vermelho de bolinhas brancas. Como estou com pouco tempo livre para bordar, vou sortear o saquinho e mais tarde farei outro de novo para mim ;) Espero que gostem!!

With that ladybugs I stitched from Margaret Sherry's Sketchbook, I had the idea to make a string bag, using red fabric with white polka dots. Because I'm with so less free time to stitch, I will giveaway this bag and later I'll make another one for me :) Hope you like it!

MSherry sketchbook

Passei uns dias apagada por aqui porque aproveitei o fim-de-semana ao máximo, fiz muitas coisas inclusivé bordar bastante :) É verdade, finalmente livre da constipação, tirei as teias de aranha à agulha e ao bastidor ;)

Tinha o ginger (para o livro de receitas) ainda por terminar mas deu-me vontade de fazer algo 'novo' para começar o ano :) Nas últimas revistas Cross Stitcher que recebi, gostei muito de um género de gráfico diferente, Sketchbook da Margaret Sherry! Fiquei com vontade de bordar para ver o resultado final, peguei o linho branco e escolhi um casalinho de joaninhas para bordar :) Eis o resultado:



Não ficou um doce? =) Adorei! Vou fazer mais motivos ;)
Depois deste bordado concluído, voltei a pegar no ginger com a intenção de o terminar.. se não tivessem acabado 2 cores :p Faltaram-me duas meadas para completar mas está quase! Dei um bom avanço, podem ver a imagem nos meus wips aqui na barra lateral do blog ;)
Bom, no fim-de-semana não podia comprar as linhas, solução: pegar noutra coisa para bordar hehehehe Assim comecei mais uma peça do enxoval do bebé, que quase alcança a meta final :D Estou a bordar o conjunto de lençol de berço e fronha, foto também na coluna de wips ;)

Não costumo pegar assim várias coisas ao mesmo tempo, por norma, gosto de pegar num bordado, concluí-lo e só depois pegar algo diferente. Embora já tenha dado conta de pessoas que intercalam diferentes esquemas, especialmente grandes quadros. E vocês, como preferem, gostam de pegar algo e terminar ou dão-se bem intercalando entre diferentes peças?
Estou a reparar que o facto de ser muito organizadinha se reflecte até na minha forma de bordar! :p hehehe


With my health back (100% cold free!!) I spent the weekend stitching :) Yes, I finally took off the spiderwebs from my needle and my hoop!

I had the ginger (for the recipes's book) still unfinished but I wanted to make something 'new' to start the year. I picked the white linen and a pattern from Margaret Sherry's sketchbook (in Cross Stitcher Magazine) A cute couple of ladybugs, aren't they sweet? =) I love it! Simple and pretty :)
This one done and I was back to my ginger with the intention of finishing it.. if I had enough threads :p Two colors missing but it's almost done! I took a good step forward, you can see the picture in my wips here, on the right sidebar ;) Without threads, solution: pick something else to stitch! Lol! I started another piece for the baby set, picture also on the sidebar ;)
Usually, I don't get so many things to stitch at once! I like to pick up a pattern, finish it and then start on something different. And you, how do you prefer: you like to start something and finish it, or you have more fun stitching different patterns at the same time? I'm noticing that my organization is reflected even in my way of cross stitching! :p Lol!
