busy busy busy :) ... & a giveaway winner!

Trabalho. Consultas de acompanhamento da gravidez. Organizar o quartinho do baby boy. Fazer um pouco de ponto cruz. Relaxar que também faz bem. Estes últimos dias do ano têm sido para fazer um pouco de tudo :)

Aposto que não estranharam a pausa aqui no blog porque, de um modo ou de outro, toda a blogosfera anda em ritmo lento nesta fase do ano. Penso que a maioria fez uma pausa para descanso, aqui foi mesmo por andar ocupada a fazer várias coisas ao mesmo tempo... o costume ;) hehehehe

Curioso que vou terminar o mês de Dezembro apenas com posts de Natal, não cheguei a postar nada dos bordadinhos que fui fazendo! Ficam as novidades para a primeira semana do novo ano ;) Já é mais que hora de anunciar o destino da botinha de Natal!!! Vamos ao sorteio? :D

Como este ano não fiz os habituais presentinhos de Natal, fico contente que siga para uma seguidora habitual do blog, sei que há muitas mais mas.. só pode haver uma vencedora de cada vez! Work. Pregnancy follow-up appointments. Organizing my baby boy's nursery. Some time for cross stitching. Relax, which is also good and healthy. I've been spending these last few days of the year doing a bit of everything :)

I bet you weren't surprised with the blog pause here, in one way or another, the entire blogosphere is moving in a slow pace at this time of the year. I think most bloggers are taking a pause to rest, here it's because I was busy doing several things at the same time... the usual ;) hehehehe

Curious fact, I'll close December with only Christmas posts, I didn't get to blog anything of what I've been stitching this month! I'll share that on the first week of the new year ;) It's about time to announce the destination of the giveaway stocking!!! Let's make the draw? :D

I'm using random.org to select two numbers, the first will set one of the 12 posts and the second will tell the winner by the order of comments on that same post :) ... and by the time you get to read the translation here, you've seen the winner's name above! heheheh Congrats to Bruna!!! :)

The gifts on the stocking are small things, basically everything for crafting, especially cross stitch. I tried not to put heavy items so it would be easier to post to any corner of the globe, this time the luck went to the islands! I didn't post my usual cards and handmade treats so I'm glad this stocking is going to a regular follower of my blog, I know that there are many more but.. we can only have one winner each time! There will be more giveaways and more opportunities for all, for sure!!! :D

My girl has joined her Gorjuss family :) Yesterday I finished all the backstitch and put her in the frame, only missing 3 more to complete the 'Wall'! And I'm also missing a photo to show you, right? This afternoon we had friends over, I ended up forgetting to take pictures... sorry girls! Tomorrow ;)

Giveaway °•● 6 Fat Men

Este fim-de-semana prolongado teve sabor a mini-férias :) E quando a semana começa numa terça-feira é simplesmente excelente, elimina do calendário aquele dia mais chato da semana heheheh bye bye segunda-feira! :p

As agulhas estiveram a todo o vapor nestes últimos três dias: terminei o cachorrinho do SAL, terminei uma babete para a Bia, marquei o tecido para um novo projecto a começar em breve e comecei uma menina :) "Que menina?" perguntam vocês? Mostro-vos durante a semana ;) Prometo que não é para o suspense, é que realmente não tenho fotos =/ Parece que o sol volta amanhã e aí fotografo tudo para vos mostrar! :D

O fim-de-semana também foi bom para terminar finalmente todos os pacotinhos que tinha para enviar, uma dúzia de encomendas prontas a viajar pelo mundo! E uma carteira que vai ficar semi-vazia mais logo nos correios :p LOL Quatro dos meus gráficos dos 6 Fat Men já estão com viagem marcada, para oferecer a algumas amigas, sobraram dois... This long weekend was like a mini-vacation :) And when the week starts on a Tuesday is simply excellent, the most boring day of the week is excluded from the calendar heheheh bye bye Monday! :p

My needles were on full steam on these last three days: I finished the second puppy on MSherry SAL, finished another bib for baby Bia, I stitched the guidelines on the fabric for a new project to start soon and also made a start on a new girl :) "Who?" you may ask, I'll show you during the week ;) I promise it's not to tease you, I really don't have photos yet =/ It seems that the Sun will be back tomorrow so I will take pictures of everything to post here! :D

The weekend was very useful to finally finish packing all gifts that I had to post, a dozen packages are ready to travel the world! And my wallet is also ready to become half-empty on the post office :p LOL Four of my 6 Fat Men patterns have travel tickets scheduled, I'm sending to a few friends but I still have 2...

tiny fairy box & pattern giveaway

Corei!! Corei com os vossos comentários simpáticos sobre as minhas bonequinhas em EVA, quase que me sinto uma profissional na área :D LOL Prometo que vou continuar a postar mais desenvolvimentos sobre como se fazem, mais que não seja para satisfazer a vossa curiosidade! heheheh Pode ser que também inspire mais alguém a começar, acreditem que não é nada dificil, é uma técnica que requer alguma dedicação... como todos os trabalhos em artesanto :) E é bastante divertida!! :D

Também têm perguntado sobre os meus bordados, é verdade que fiz uma pequena pausa depois dos '6 Fat Men' mas as cruzinhas nunca ficam muito tempo de lado ;) Fiz uma caixinha muito fofa que recebi da June:





Pequenina e tão doce! Não vos parece perfeita para uma caixinha da fadinha do dente? =) Uma ideia para o futuro ;) heheheh

Se mais alguém quiser bordar esta fadinha, terei todo o gosto em partilhar o gráfico. Não terão a caixinha mas podem aplicar numa caixa de madeira ou até fazer um saquinho em feltro, é só pôr a imaginação a funcionar ;) No caso de mais do que uma pessoa interessada, farei sorteio no fim-de-semana. Vou também sortear a coroa de esferovite, do giveaway que lancei no dia 1 :)

Blushing! I'm blushing with all your nice comments about my EVA foam dolls, I almost feel like a professional in the field :D LOL I promise I'll continue to post more developments about this craft, at least to satisfy your curiosity! heheheh Maybe I'll also inspire someone else to start, believe me, it's very easy, it's a technique that requires some dedication... as any other handmade work that we do :) And it's so much fun! :D

Some friends have been asking about my cross stitch, you know I took a little break after finishing my '6 Fat Men' but I can't stay away from my needles for too long ;) I stitched a little fairy on a really cute box I received from June :) Thank you June!!!

So tiny and so sweet! Doesn't it look perfect for a tooth fairy box? =) An idea for the future ;) heheheh

If anyone else would like to stitch this little fairy, I'll be happy to share the pattern. You won't have the box but you can apply it on a wooden box or even make a felt bag, just put your imagination to work ;) In case there's more than one person interested, I'll make a draw on the weekend. I'll also make the draw for the styrofoam wreath, my giveaway from May 1st :)

starting May with a giveaway :)

As minhas frangipanis também conquistaram os vossos olhinhos!!! Quantas palavras queridas as minhas florzinhas ganharam :D Também ganham o meu sorriso todos os dias que entro e saio de casa =)

Por várias vezes me questionaram sobre as coroas, se guardo todas e onde arranjo espaço para as guardar. Comecei por comprar apenas duas, colocava uma na porta e tinha outra suplente. Guardar a decoração feita para uma estação, depende dos materiais e cores que usamos, principalmente pelo sol que acaba por desgastar bastante as cores. Aconteceu isso no ano passado, adorei a coroa que fiz para a Primavera mas no fim da estação estava sem cor. Não uso qualquer cola, apenas alfinetes, assim, posso facilmente reutilizar as coroas sem dificuldade.

Guardei a coroa de Páscoa e também a de verão e outono do ano passado. Recordam-se do bastidor com pompons? :) Essas três estão em perfeitas condições para voltar a usar. Entretanto, encontrei à venda mais tamanhos de coroas, um pouco mais pequenas do que as minhas. As primeiras são de 45cm e agora tenho duas de 30cm, ficam um pouco mais pequenas mas mais fofas também :) Sobra uma grande que está sem uso, pensei em partilhar com alguém que gostasse, sei que nem toda a gente consegue encontrar estas peças de esferovite à venda (eu mesma demorei muito até encontrar!!).

Vou começar o mês de Maio com alegria e um giveaway! Quem estiver interessada em ter uma coroa de esferovite de 45cm, basta dizer aqui neste post :) Embora seja uma peça grande, é bastante leve, fácil de enviar para qualquer lugar do globo ;)

My frangipanis melted your eyes!! How many sweet words my little flowers won :D They also win my smile everyday I enter and leave the house =)

I've been questioned about my wreaths, if I save them all and where do I store them. I started by buying just two, one was on the door and I saved the other. Saving the decoration depends on the materials and colors used, especially because the sun eventually will fade the colors. That happened last year, I really loved my Spring wreath but at the end of the season was discolored. Since I don't use any type of glue, only pins, I can easily reuse the styrofoam and make a new decoration.

I saved the wreaths I made for Easter and also for last year's Summer and Fall. Do you remember my wooden hoop with pompoms? :) These three are in perfect condition. However, I found more sizes on the store, I bought two more, a bit smaller. I had 2 pieces of 45cm and now I have 2 more of 30cm, smaller but cuter too :) So, I have one big left, I thought I could share with someone who'd like to make one, I know that not everyone can find these styrofoam pieces for sale (took me a long time to find too!).

Let's start the month of May with joy and a giveaway! Anyone interested in having a styrofoam wreath of 45cm, just say it on this post :) Although it's a large piece, it's very lightweight, easy to ship to anywhere in the globe ;)

Tenho boas e más noticias.. as más primeiro? I have good and bad news.. the bad first? The handmade piece for my giveaway isn't finished yet.. sorry ladies =/ The good part is that soon I will have another giveaway for that gift ;) hahahah Not all bad, right? :D So, without a handmade treat, I gathered some craft supplies that I think you'll like :)

Shortly after my birthday, I was lucky to win a giveaway on Kat's blog :D Linen, fabric, threads, ribbons, buttons, everything a crafter loves :D ehehheh Those buttons are so cute! There's an idea floating on my mind for those pretty ribbons ;) Thanks Kat!! :D

Going a little further back, at the end of July I hosted a giveaway too, Veronica won first prize (she has her gift certicate to spend freely! :D ) and there was a surprise gift for Anne and Topcho :) Now that everything was delivered, I can share: my surprise was one wooden bobbin! Remember the second picture above? Both received one cute giraffe with DMC threads :)

Another bobbin was sent to Noni, for the mystery stitching, guessing it was a beach hut early in the first photo, remember? :D For Noni I sent a puppy, also with one DMC thread. And these were my surprises! :)

Still on a giveaway roll, let me tell you that Rita is hosting her first giveaway! Go try your luck, my fingers are crossed :p

cupcakes for me, gifts for you!! :D

Contei que demorei bastantes horas a preparar tudo para a minha festa de aniversário, a razão disso foi porque optei por fazer tudo caseiro, comidinhas feitas de raíz. Inclusive, o meu bolo de aniversário que este ano foi...



... uma torre de cupcakes!! :D hahahhaha Na foto ainda não tinha as velas, estávamos a preparar a mesa, mais tarde junto com as velas coloquei também 6 foguetinhos espalhados ao redor da torre :D A decoração com chantilly ainda precisa de treino, com o tempo e a prática há-de melhorar ;) hehehehe

I told you it took me many hours to prepare everything for my birthday party, the reason for that was because I chose to do everything homemade, all desserts and snacks made ​​from scratch. Also, my birthday cake this year was...
... a cupcake tower! :D hahahhaha

When I took the photo above, there were no candles yet, we were setting the table, later along with the candles I put six candle fireworks around the tower :D The whipped cream decoration still needs some training, I need more time and practice to improve ;) Slowly getting better hehehehe

Now, what's the best way to end this party-weekend? Giving presents to you? What do you think? :D I was supposed to do that on Friday, I didn't forget!! We will close by birthday weekend with a giveaway for you! :D

Chegou Julho, o melhor mês do ano!! :D É a melhor altura do Verão, é o mês do aniversário deste bloguinho e do meu aniversário também :D Se o Natal fosse em Julho, o resto do ano nem precisava de existir ;) LOL

12 days of Christmas °•● winner!!

Hoje é noite de Reis, para nós é o fecho da época das festas, para os espanhóis é a hora de trocar presentes! heheheh Verdade, em Espanha, hoje trocam-se os presentes :) Nós já o fizemos, resta-nos comer os chocolates da árvore de Natal e arrumar as decorações até ao próximo Dezembro!... dia 1 de Dezembro é bem mais divertido... não dá para fa-la-la enquanto se desfaz o decor! :p



Não sei se esta tradição de comer os chocolates existe apenas na minha família ou se é algo que se faz por todo o país.. na minha casa faziam assim quando eu era pequenina e a tradição ficou! :)



Bom, agora vou dar uma de espanhola e distribuir presentes!! King's Day here... it's the end of the holiday season for us, in Spain it's the night to exchange gifts! heheheh Truth, in Spain, they do it tonight :) We've done that already so now... we eat the chocolates from the tree and pack everything until December!... December 1st is much more fun... can't 'fa-la-la as we undecorate'! :p

I'm not sure if this tradition of eating the chocolates only exists in my family or if it's something that is done throughout the country... we did it when I was little and I sticked with the tradition! :)

Well, now let's give a spanish twist to my giveaway and share some gifts!
