half hermit weekend :p

Ontem não havia um raio de sol que ajudasse a tirar fotos, hoje está uma manhã linda :) No Verão é chato quando temos estes dias de 'ora chove, ora faz sol' mas nesta altura do ano é bom, mesmo que seja apenas por 1 ou 2 dias, é agradável ter um intervalo de sol entre os dias cinzentos e chuvosos... no Verão é que deveria ser proibido chover :p LOL

Já vos contei que o meu Sábado foi bem cheio, sobrou apenas um dia para o IHSW e confesso que pouco bordei mas fiz mil e uma coisas :) Estive a preparar o tema de Natal para as minhas workshops, já fiz um novo kit de ponto cruz, uma ideia gira para as aulas de amigurumi e alterei algumas páginas no website - que só vou actualizar quando estiver tudo prontinho! Preciso tirar mais fotos e 'decorar' o layout também ;)

Já conhecem as minhas caixinhas :) cada aluna recebe uma com o material para a aula, junto tem um postal para escreverem um testemunho com a sua opinião sobre a workshop e também um pequeno panfleto com os outros temas e o cartãozinho de contacto.



Para as aulas de ponto cruz, fiz um pequeno sampler com gráficos de uma Cross Stitcher mais antiga. Tive de seleccionar imagens que fossem possiveis de fazer nas 3 horas de aula e que abrangesse um ponto de tudo: ponto cruz, ponto 3/4, ponto atrás, ponto linear, nó francês e colocar missangas.



Para as aulas de découpage, é oferecida a caixinha de madeira que vão decorar. Todo o material necessário é disponivel para a aula (pinceis, tintas, verniz, etc) e uma selecção de guardanapos - cada aluna escolhe o que quer fazer a ser gosto!



Na aula, ensino a preparar a caixa, pintar, colocar o guardanapo, fazer os acabamentos e também algumas técnicas de pintura com diferentes efeitos. Ou seja, ensino não só o básico mas tudo aquilo que fui aprendendo com a minha experiência :)

Para a workshop de amigurumi, não é fácil terminar um boneco até ao fim, depende também da facilidade da pessoa que está a aprender. Como projecto para a aula, fiz um pequeno boneco de neve, com o qual poderei ensinar como se faz e monta qualquer bonequinho em amigurumi! E ainda incluí um cachecol e gorro para exemplificar diferentes finalizações :)



E assim incluí o Natal em três temas das minhas workshops, faltam mais 3! :)

Yesterday there wasn't a beam of sunshine to take photos, today it's a beautiful sunshine morning :) During Summer it's a pain when we have these days of 'today sun, tomorrow rain' but, at this time of the year, it's nice! Even if it's only 1 or 2 days, it's nice to have a bit of sun between the gray and rainy days... But I still agree that during Summer rain should be banned :p LOL

I've told you how my Saturday was, only one day left for the IHSW and I have to say that I didn't stitch much but I did a thousand things :) I've been preparing Christmas theme for my workshops, I made a new cross stitch kit, a fun idea for amigurumi classes and I changed a few pages on the website - I'll update when everything is done! I need to take more pictures and 'decorate' the layout for Christmas too ;)

You've seen my boxes :) each student receives one with the material for the class, along with a postcard to write their opinion about the workshop, a small pamphlet with other workshops themes and my contact card.

For cross stitch classes, I made a little sampler with charts from an old Cross Stitcher issue. I had to select small patterns to stitch in three hours (time for the whole workshop) and something that covered everything: cross stitch, 3/4 stitch, backstitch, linear stitch, french knot and sew beads.

For decoupage classes, each student receives one wooden box to decorate. All the necessary supplies are available for the class (brushes, paints, varnish, etc.) and a selection of napkins to choose what they like and want to do :)
I teach how to prepare the box, paint, place the napkin, finish and also some painting techniques with different effects. So, I teach not only the basics but everyhting else I learned from my experience :)

For amigurumi workshop it's not easy to finish a doll in 3 hours, it also depends on the hability of the person who's learning. As a project for the class, I made a small snowman, with which I can teach how to make and assemble any amigurumi doll! And I included a scarf and hat to exemplify different techiniques to complement :)

Fiquei de voltar ontem para vos contar do meu fim-de-semana mas... o tempo fugiu :p Fugiram as horas e fugiu o sol também, esta semana temos chuvinha chata e céu cinzento =/



No fim-de-semana fiz o bordado para a troca no blog de fãs da Margaret Sherry, está quase terminado o enfeite, preciso apenas comprar mais um material para finalizar :) Aqui terei de manter segredo por mais um tempinho, sabem como é - não podemos postar antes da nossa amiga receber para não estragar a surpresa!

Preparei kits para as Workshops da Caixinha :D



Depois de uma pausa de Verão, estou de volta ao activo com mais aulinhas que começam já no próximo fim-de-semana! Espero que a época de Natal cative as pessoas e as inspire a aprender novas artes :)

Agora estou entretida com amigurumi, está quase a nascer uma nova bonequinha!!! :D Cenas para outro post muito em breve ;) ehehheheh

I was supposed to be back yesterday to tell you more about my weekend but... time ran away :p Not only the hours disappeared, so did the sun, this week we're having boring rainy days and gray skies =/

This last weekend I stitched for the exchange on Margaret Sherry fan blog, my ornament is almost finished, I just need to buy a little thing to complete it :) I must keep secret for a little longer, you know how it works - we can't publish before or it would spoil the surprise for our friend!

I made boxes for my workshop kits :D After a Summer break, I'm back to active with more workshops, starting next weekend! I hope the Christmas season will inspire people to learn new crafts :)

Now I'm working on amigurumi, a new doll is coming to life!! :D More scenes coming soon on another post ;) ehehheheh

the sun shines again!

Sem dúvida nenhuma que os vossos comentários sempre me fazem sorrir :D Obrigada por todas as palavras simpáticas e pelo apoio na ideia de lançar os meus Workshops. Já tive até oferta de cama, comida e roupa lavada se quiser ir até outras cidades! hahahahhaha Uma Workshop precisa apenas de 2/3 horas, quem sabe... no Verão ainda faço uns passeios e aproveito algumas tardes para conhecer novas amigas ;) Já me estão a imaginar a viajar pelo país e a fazer Workshops? ahahahah Ou melhor, a viajar além-mar! LOL Isso é que era qualidade de vida :p heheheh

Thank you all for your kind words and support on the idea of making my own Workshops. I've been offered with bed, food and laundry if I want to go to other cities! hahahahhaha I need only 2/3 hours for each workshop, who knows... maybe this Summer I will take the opportunity to travel around and meet some friends ;) Can you imagine me traveling the country and crafting with other blogger friends? :D Or overseas! LOL What a good life :p heheheh

Finally today the sun decided to peek and give some light for photos! ﾟ･｡.｡･ﾟﾟ･ Workshops da Caixinha ﾟ･｡.｡･ﾟﾟ･

Há algumas semanas atrás, deixei escapar aqui que andava a planear uma novidade mas ficou por revelar até ter o meu projecto em acção ;) Já me questionaram várias vezes se nunca pensei ter uma loja online e disponibilizar as peças que faço, tanto a nível de bordados como de outras artes. Pergunto eu, em vez de uma loja, porque não fazer workshops para que outras pessoas possam aprender a fazer também? :)

Aqui na zona de Guimarães não é nada fácil encontrar workshops para aprender qualquer técnica de artesanato. Eu passei dois anos à procura de uma oportunidade para aprender needle felting e só encontrei em Lisboa! Daí surgiu a ideia de fazer workshops aos Sábados :) ajudar outras pessoas a aprender aquilo que sei e pelo caminho conhecer mais artesãs! :D

Com o intuito de divulgar os workshops criei um novo espaço para a Caixinha de Pirlimpimpim, não altera em nada o blog, este cantinho é sagrado! ;) hehehe
O novo website é apenas para disponibilizar mais informações e também um formulário de inscrição. Quero ainda acrescentar uma parte para testemunhos das alunas, onde possam deixam as suas criticas e opiniões sobre os workshops em que participaram.



Sei que vai demorar um pouco para publicitar e reunir grupos de alunas mas acredito que haverá pessoas interessadas em aprender. Ontem foi o arranque oficial com a primeira Workshop de Amigurumi :D Tive uma aluna muito simpática e animada, começou um pouco insegura a pensar que não ía saber fazer mas pouco depois acho que encorajou ao pegar o jeito da agulha e ver os pontinhos a aparecer :) Gostei de a ver terminar a aula satisfeita e cheia de vontade de praticar, ficou até prometida uma foto do primeiro bonequinho que fizer! Vou aguardar com carinho =)

Quando quiserem aprender Needle Felting, Découpage, Crochet ou Amigurumi, já sabem onde podem encontrar aulas com pózinhos de pirlimpimpim :D Increvam-se! E já agora, espalhem a palavra pelas vossas amigas também :)

A few weeks ago, I told you something new was coming, I was waiting to reveal my surprise until I had my project in full motion ;) I've been questioned several times about opening an online store, if I've ever thought about selling any of my cross stitched or other handmade works. I ask, instead of a store, why not make workshops so that others can learn how to do it too? :)

Here in ​​Guimarães, where I live, it's not easy to find workshops to learn any kind of handmade craft. I spent two years looking for an opportunity to learn needle felting and I ended up in Lisbon! Why not make my own ​workshops on Saturdays? :) Help others to learn what I know and maybe meet some new crafter friends on the way! :D

In order to promote my workshops I created a new space for my Little Box of Pixie Dust (Caixinha de Pirlimpimpim), it won't change a thing here on the blog, this is a sacred place! ;) Hehehe The new website is just to provide more information and a registration form for students to sign in. I still want to add a section for testimonies, where students can write their reviews and opinions about the workshop they attended. And I promise I will make an english version as soon as I find some time, I promise, I promise =)

I know it will take a while to publicize and gather groups of students but I believe there will be people interested in learning. Yesterday was the official start with the first Amigurumi Workshop :D I had a very friendly and fun student, she started a little insecure thinking that she wouldn't be able to make it but soon got encouraged when getting the hang of the hook and seeing those stitches appearing :) I really enjoyed to finish the class and see her so satisfied with her accomplishments and full of desire to practice. She even promised me a photo of her first amigurumi doll! I can't wait to see it =)

I know this is not very interesting for my foreign friends, unless you'd like to visit Portugal ;) hehehe But it's a nice opportunity for me to meet crafters, maybe someday we will start a craft group around here!! :)
