time flies, friendship lingers

Já ia sendo tempo de tirar o pó a este blog, não acham? ;) Não abandonei a minha Caixinha, está apenas em ritmo (extremamente) lento :p LOL Vocês sabem que sempre gostei de postar com frequência, de responder a todas as mensagens e também de ler os vossos blogs. Como o tempo não tem dado para tudo... Opto por não fazer nada do que ficar pela metade! Isto até o Lourenço me dar alguma flexibilidade... sim, quase 9 meses e continua a gostar da atenção toda, a querer sempre companhia para brincar e a não sossegar uma noite inteira :p Ahhhhh mas quando ri - o melhor som do mundo - a mamã até esquece que está cansada :D

O que não me esqueço são as amigas, apesar do pouco contacto, não esqueci ninguém! Saudades das conversas, dos longos emails, ler os vossos blogs... Em breve devo descobrir o meu novo ritmo e conseguir gerir tudo outra vez ;)

Ainda estou em falta com algumas de vocês (precisamente 13!) a quem não consegui retribuir os miminhos que ofereceram para o meu baby boy. Aos poucos tenho escrito ora a uma, ora a outra... mas chego ao fim do ano ainda com muitos pacotinhos por enviar! Aqui está um objectivo para 2015, mas tenham fé, eu chego lá ;) heheheh Hoje estou satisfeita por ver que consegui terminar o correio de Natal, atrasada claro, faz parte :p E demorei 3 dias a escrever este post... melhor começar já o próximo!! :D hahahahah



It's about time to take the dust off this blog, right? ;) I didn't abandon my little pixie box, it's just on a (very) slow pace :p LOL You know I've always liked to post often, to answer all messages and I also love reading your blogs. As time isn't enough for everything... I choose to do nothing instead doing only half! Lourenço doesn't give me much free time, any, in fact :p Yes, almost 9 months and he still wants all the attention, someone to play along with him, and hasn't settled down for the whole night yet :p ohhhhh but when he laughs - the best sound in the world - Mamma forgets how tired she is :D

Who I don't forget is you, all my friends around the globe, we haven't been much in contact but I haven't forgotten anyone! I miss our talks, the long emails, reading your blogs... Soon I'll discover my new rhythm and I'll be able to manage everything again ;)

I'm still behind on returning all the gifts (13 to be precise!) I received for my baby boy. Slowly, I've written to one friend, then another... but the end of the year is near and there's a lot to send yet! Here's a goal for 2015, keep your faith in me, I'll get there ;) heheheh Today I'm happy to see my Christmas mail ready to post, late of course, as everything goes these days :p I've been writing this post for 3 days... I better start typing the next one!! :D hahahahah

Não me faltam novidades para fazer posts diários aqui no blog mas, de um jeito ou de outro, o tempo acaba sempre por se escapar :p Já estou atrasada com o update do meu Jingles SAL e ainda não é hoje que sai! Adorei os bordados, adorei até a forma como a Daniela combinou as letrinhas com o Fuzzy Moon na babete :) Não costumo bordar babetes assim, com tanto quadrilé para preencher, já aprendi com a Daniela a fazer um exemplo bem bonito :D Todo o conjunto está muito - muiiiiitoo - fofo =)

A Daniela faz bordados por encomenda, para aquelas pessoas que não sabem fazer ponto cruz - ou até sabem mas não têm tempo - deixo-vos a dica, os seus bordados são perfeitinhos :)

No meu último post escrevi que a vida é melhor com chinelinhos de praia, ora cá estão mais uns para os meus passeios de Verão! Mais giro ainda é que o baby boy também terá uns chinelinhos na mesma cor da mamã :D heheheh

I love the stitching, I love how Daniela combined the letters with Fuzzy Moon on the bib :) I don't usually stitch on this kind of bib, with so much Aida to fill, Daniela just taught me how to make something really pretty :D The whole set is soooooo adorably cute! =)

Daniela stitches by order, for those who don't know how to cross stitch - or don't have the time for it - I leave you a hint, her stitching is perfect :)

Mais presentes! É verdade :) desta vez, uma caixinha direccionada ao Lourenço com todo o charme francês =) Temos recebido presentes lindos, temos sido inundados por pacotes de fofura!!! Mas o que tenho para vos mostrar hoje... é de fazer o queixo cair no chão! Quem faz pontos cruz irá apreciar bem o carinho e as horas dedicadas a este presente...

Uma peça tão grande que fica difícil fotografar :p Coloquei-a sobre o berço para tentar mostrar a peça completa, cada quadradinho bordado é uma delicadeza! Reparem bem nos cantinhos, não são um amor?? :)

More gifts! :) It's true :) This time, a package arrived with my baby boy's name and all the French charm =) We have received beautiful gifts, we have been overwhelmed by packages full of cuteness!!! But what I have to show you today... will make your jaw drop on the floor! Those who stitch will appreciate very well the amount of affection and hours devoted to this gift...
...A baby blanket all handmade by Valérie =))))

Such a big piece it's not easy to take photos :p I put it on the crib so I could show you the whole blanket, every little stitched square is a delight! Even the corners, look, isn't it the most adorable thing?? :)

Valérie has this magic power to leave me speechless! Saying thanks it's not enough to all this amount of affection and dedication =) You can see better pictures on Valérie's blog, a close up to each stitched square and the detail on the fabric :) Read her post, I assure you it's very cute :D

And it doesn't end here! ;) Besides the cute feet shaped candles, there was also a letter, not to me but to my baby boy =) A long letter that tells how Valérie met mommy, also speaks about the making of his gift and it's overflowing with affection... There's nothing that can show how much these pages are special ♥ I've saved all the cards along with an album for my baby, to remember later :) This letter will also be saved with all my love and one day Lourenço will read =)

Tenho mais algumas fotos do quartinho do baby boy, presentes que já viram no post anterior. Estava à espera de um dia de sol para as fotos mas a Primavera não anda a colaborar =/ (É suposto o tempo melhorar amanhã.. será?)



A Annette fez esta peça em feltro, perfeita para o quartinho do meu pequerrucho =) Desde a palete de cores - cinza, azul, branco e amarelo - aos elementos escolhidos - Nuvens, estrelinhas, ursinhos e patinhos! Adoro!!
E onde foi esta peça colocada?



No topo do bercinho :) Digam lá se não se enquadra perfeitamente com a decoração e o ambiente do quartinho =)



Outra novidade do Lourenço é o seu baloiço :) onde relaxa quando tem dorzinhas de barriga e até adormece ao som das musiquinhas =) Obrigada pelas dicas que vão deixando nos vossos comentários, toda a informação é bem-vinda e muito útil para nós ;)

I have a few more pictures of my baby boy's room, gifts you've seen on my previous post. I was waiting for a sunny day to take pictures but Spring hasn't been our friend =/ (the weather is supposed to get better tomorrow.. will it?)

On the first image you can see a gift made by Annette, a perfect piece for my baby boy's room =) Starting with the palette of colors - gray, blue, white and yellow - to the chosen elements - clouds, stars, bears and ducks! Love it!

And where have we placed it? Right at the top of the crib :)
Now, tell me, doesn't it fit perfectly in the room =)

Something else new, Lourenço's swing :) where our baby can relax when his tummy hurts and he even falls asleep to the sound of the baby music =) Thanks for the tips and advices that you all leave us on your comments, all information is welcome and very helpful for us ;)

gifts from friends to my baby boy :)

Cuidar de um recém nascido muda-nos completamente o dia, a noite, tudo :p São os pequeninos que ditam as regras, os nossos horários e o tempo que nos deixam para fazer outras coisas! Estou a amamentar o nosso baby boy que bebe o seu leitinho em intervalos de 2-3 horas, ou seja, descontando o tempo de amamentar, trocar a fralda, embalá-lo um pouquinho.. sobram 1-2 horas para cuidar da casa, da roupa, de mim :) Mas o Rui também ajuda, sempre que está em casa, divide comigo as tarefas: a mamã dá o leite, o papá troca a fraldinha, a privação de sono é dividida entre os dois :p LOL

O nosso pequenino está a crescer, em 3 semanas já notamos que está maior e mais gordinho :) Até começámos a separar a roupinha que deixa de servir!
É um sortudo este pequenino, está sempre a receber presentes :D já recebeu alguns antes de nascer e os pacotinhos continuam a chegar :) Agradeci todos por email mas vou agradecer mais uma vez aqui ♥ Sei que ainda há mais miminhos a atravessar o globo, não se preocupem, quando chegarem com certeza que nos farão sorrir =) Obrigada a todas!!

Nursing a newborn totally changes our day, our night, everything :p These little guys are the ones who dictate the rules, our schedules and the time they allow us to do anything else! I'm breastfeeding, our baby boy drinks his milk in breaks of 2-3 hours, so, if you take the time to feed, change diaper, cuddle him for a while... I'm left with 1-2 hours to clean the house, do the laundry, take care of myself :) But Rui helps too, when he's at home he shares tasks with me: mommy feeds, daddy changes the diaper, sleep deprivation is shared between the two of us :p LOL

Our baby boy is growing, with only 3 weeks and we can notice him getting bigger and chubby :) We even started to put aside clothes that won't fit anymore! He's a lucky little boy who's always receiving gifts :D Got a few before birth and packages continue to arrive on the mail :) I've thanked everyone by email but I'll thank once again here ♥ I know there are more treats crossing the globe, don't worry, whenever those arrive, will make us smile for sure =) Thanks to everyone!!

Outro ponto no lado bom, é que já respondi de volta a todas as cartinhas que recebi :) Apesar de não ter enviado o correio de Natal como costumo fazer todos os anos, não podia deixar de retornar cada cartãozinho simpático que aqui chegou =) Mais uma vez, obrigada a todas!!! ♥

Quem acha que o serviço de correio está cada vez pior, levante o braço! _0/

Já sabemos que para alguns países o correio leva mais tempo na distribuição, a época de Natal acentua ainda mais o caso.. mas o serviço de correio está a chegar ao exagero =/ Pelo mundo, anda uma encomenda que enviei para a Cibele (Brasil), um pequeno envelope para a Amber (Canadá) e ainda a girafinha em amigurumi para a Simone (Brasil) que deve ter feito um desvio para algum safari!!! Só o pacote da Cibele foi enviado com registo (está parado no Brasil desde dia 19 de Dezembro, deve estar a criar raízes ou a ver se dá flor!) ou outros dois.. afogaram no Atlântico, talvez? =/

Desilude quando enviamos uma encomenda com carinho e que nunca chega ao seu destino... o melhor é aprender a enviar sempre com registo e mesmo assim ainda temos de cruzar os dedos para não dar azar!!!

Another good side of my mail, I answered back to all the lovely cards I've received :) Although I didn't send my Christmas mail, as I usually do every year, I couldn't help returning a smile to each friendly little card that was dropped on my mailbox =) Once again, thanks to everyone! ♥

Who thinks the mail is getting worse by the day, raise your arm! _0/

We know some countries take longer on the mail distribution, Christmas season accentuates the situation even more... but the mail service is coming to an overkill =/ Crossing the world, there's one package I sent to Cibele (Brazil), a small envelope to Amber (Canada) and still my little amigurumi giraffe for Simone (Brazil) who probably made a detour to some safari! I have a tracking number only for Cibele's package (it stopped in Brazil since December 19th, must be putting down roots or waiting to bloom! ), the other two... maybe drowned on the Atlantic? =/

It's so disappointing when we send a package with care and it never reaches its destination... I better learn to always send with a registration number and even so we have to cross our fingers not to jinx it!!!

Acredito que meio mundo já deve ter desmontado a árvore de Natal mas por aqui a temporada de festas ainda dura, só encerra no Dia de Reis (6). Até lá, vou lentamente dizendo adeus ao Natal, preparando-me para arrumar as luzinhas e décors que hão-de voltar às suas caixas...

Também o correio não parou de chegar :) Nunca é tarde para se receber um postal de uma amiga, aliás, torna o inicio do ano ainda mais divertido :D Postais, um LK que já está na minha lista para bordar ;) e até miminhos para o Lourenço!! Obrigada a todas =) Desculpem as fotos escuras mas o tempo de chuva não colabora nada =/

I believe half the world has taken down the Christmas tree but here the holiday season ain't over yet! Goes until King's Day (Jan 6th), our chance to slowly say goodbye to Christmas, prepare my mind to take down all the lights and decorations that will return to their boxes ...

And Christmas mail ain't over either :) It's never too late to receive a postcard from a friend, in fact, it makes the beginning of the year even more fun :D Cards, one LK chart that jumped into my to-stitch list ;) and sweet gifts to baby Lourenço!! Thank you ladies =) I apologise for the bad pictures but this rainy weather isn't helping at all =/

Nestas últimas duas semanas a minha barriguinha deu um pulo! Senti uma rápida mudança e começo a sentir a diferença também na hora de bordar.. já custa passar muito tempo sentada a fazer ponto cruz :p Pelo menos a bordar uma peça grande, talvez as coisas mais pequenas sejam mais fáceis! Mas não há muito com que me preocupar, já esperava e por isso mesmo comecei logo a despachar as toalhas de banho para o baby boy ;) Esta que estou a fazer é a última da lista, está quase, no fim-de-semana já vos mostro a peça pronta :D

Entretanto, partilho convosco alguns miminhos que chegaram à minha caixa de correio :) Da Bernadett recebi um doce diário da gravidez =) Um livrinho para notas com um bordado tão delicado!



E agora divido o meu correio com o Lourenço :D ah pois é! Já não são pacotinhos que chegam só para mim hehehehe A Angele bordou uma babete com cachorrinhos para o baby boy :)

In these last two weeks my baby bump got bigger! I felt a quick change and I also started to feel the difference while stitching... it's not as easy to spend a couple of hours with my needles :p At least with a big piece, perhaps smaller things won't be as hard! But there's not much to worry about, I was expecting it, that's the reason I started making all the bath towels for my baby boy first ;) This one I'm doing is the last on my list and almost finished, I'll show you this weekend :D

Meanwhile, I can share some sweet treats that arrived in my mailbox :)
From Bernadett I received a sweet pregnancy journal =) A notebook with a very delicate and charming stitching! And now I share my mail with baby Lourenço :D oh yeah! Packages that arrive here, it's not all for me anymore hehehehe Angele stitched some cute blue puppies on a bib for my baby boy :) To me, a postcard and the dearest souvenir from the Netherlands :)

what has been on my mailbox :)

Uma daquelas semanas em que se chega ao dia de hoje e perguntamos: 'Quinta-feira?? Já?!? Como.. onde.. o que é que se passou?!' :p

Estes dias cinzentos e chuvosos também já se sentem mais curtos, para mim, os dias de inverno, não são tão produtivos como um dia de sol... Juntando isto ao nível de trabalho que aumentou e à minha baixa energia boicotada pela gravidez :p Digamos apenas que estou atrasada em.. tudo! Básicamente :)
Se estão a aguardar algum email meu ou têm sentido a minha ausência nos vossos blogs, não se assustem, em breve dou sinal!! Tem sido apenas falta de tempo, aos poucos vou recuperando o atraso ;)

Com a gravidez e o baby, continua tudo a correr bem, a barriga ainda cresce devagarinho :) mas já há novidades para contar.. em breve! hehehe Temos nome para o nosso baby boy, estamos a partilhar primeiro com a familia e em breve conto aqui também ;) Só têm de aguardar mais um pouquinho =)

One of those weeks when it comes to today and we ask: 'Thursday?? Already?!? How... where... what happened?!' :p

These gray and rainy days are also feeling shorter, to me, winter days are not as productive as a sunny day... Add this to the increase of work and the decrease on my energy boycotted by pregnancy :p Let's just say I'm late on... everything! Basically :) If you are waiting for an email reply or feeling my absence on your blogs, don't be scared, I'll get there soon!! I've just been short on time, I'll gradually catch up ;)

About my pregnancy and my baby , everything continues to go well, my belly is still growing slowly :) but I do have some news to tell... soon! hehehe Our baby boy has a name, we're sharing with our family first and soon I'll share here with you too ;) Just give a few days =)

About my stitching, I'll tell you on my next post, today I have to thank some gifts that have arrived on my mailbox :) Thanks to Valérie and Anne Doll who shared with me their Tatty Teddy kits :D

Thanks to Simone that, besides sending me beautiful fabrics, made ​​me laugh a lot with a mini pair of brazilian flip flops!! hahahaahah Of course it will take some years until our baby wears them but I believe it's the smallest size in the market :D

Thanks to Gislene who sent such sweet gifts for our baby too, an adorable Margaret Sherry stitching :) Unfortunately the lack of light didn't help on the photo, beautiful and such delicate pieces! Darling =)

Bia, the sweetest little thing =)

A pequenina já chegou :D A Bia, nasceu no sábado à noite com 3,400Kg... senão estou em erro :p Desculpem estava demasiado distraída com a bebé linda no meu colo, acho que a Ângela disse 3,400Kg enquanto eu babava a olhar aquela coisinha tão fofa =) Primeira vez que peguei numa bebé com menos de 24 horas e é a bebé mais bonita que já vi, um doce!! :)

Hoje não posso publicar fotos, talvez mais tarde, se tiver autorização dos papás. Mas posso mostrar os presentemos que recebemos da Annette :) Chegou uma encomenda com dois pacotinhos e ainda bem que eu leio os postais antes! hahahah Reparei que para mim era apenas um, o outro seria para entregar à Ângela. No meu pacotinho, além de duas lembranças com saborzinho holandês, um "óó" para o meu baby :)



Um bonequinho para dormir, feito pela Annette, que na altura ainda não sabia que seria menino e por isso fez branquinho =) Adorei! Branquinho fica um charme e vai contrastar na caminha azul ;) hehehheeh Muito fofo!!

Ontem entreguei à Ângela a versão cor de rosa, para a Bia, claro :D Annette, foi entregue na maternidade, no primeiríssimo dia de vida da pequenina! =) Amanhã, mamã e filha voltam para casa, eu vou esperar ansiosamente pelo próximo fim-de-semana para as visitar de novo :D

The little baby girl has arrived :D Bia, was born on Saturday night with 3,400 Kg.. if I'm not mistaken :p Sorry, I was too distracted by the beautiful baby on my arms , I think Ângela said 3,400 kg while I was drooling on the precious baby girl =) First time I saw a baby with less than 24 hours and she's the most beautiful baby I've ever seen, so sweet! :)

Can't publish photos today, maybe later, if I have the parents permition. But I can show you the gift we've received from Annette :) I opened the package and.. good thing I read cards first! hahahah Two gifts, only one for me, the second was for Ângela. I got two souvenirs from the Netherlands and one toy for my baby :)

A sleeping toy (don't know how to call it in english), handmade by Annette, before we found out I was having a baby boy so it's white =) I love it! Looks so charming in white and will contrast with the blue on the bed ;) hehehheeh Adorable!!

Yesterday I gave to Ângela the pink version, same toy for Bia, of course :D Annette, your gift was delivered at the maternity, on her first day of life! =) Tomorrow, mom and daughter return home, I'll be anxiously waiting for the weekend so I can visit both again :D

Gorjuss cards :)

As minhas cartinhas demoraram para seguir viagem mas estão agora a correr o globo e algumas já chegaram ao seu destino :D Fiquei muito contente com o feedback que tenho recebido, acho que o meu pequeno miminho tem causado alguma sensação pela sua originalidade ;) hehehe Parte do correio só seguiu esta semana, por isso, é normal que demore mais um pedacito =)

Esta semana estive a colocar em prática um dos presentes que recebi, um set de postais oferecido pela Cathey (aka Pumpkin), um dos itens do 'pacote mistério'! :D LOL! O set trazia postais com fundos padrão e 'toppings' para recortar e aplicar a gosto... coisa que eu já fiz =) heheheh



Faltou um na foto, que seguiu para a aniversariante do dia, a Ritinha :) Parabéns linda!!!! :D heheheh Enviei-lhe o primeiro postal e só depois completei este lotinho. O Rui ainda me perguntou se já me estava a aventurar nas artes da Rita (scrap) LOL!! Nada isso, foi apenas apenas uma brincadeira com o presente que recebi =) Trabalho amador! hahahahahah

My snailmail took a while to follow its trip but now it's running the globe and part has arrived at the final destination :D I'm very happy with the feedback I've received, seems like my little gift has caused some surprise for its originality ;) hehehe The second load of mail was only posted this week, it's normal that some letters may take a little bit more to arrive =)

This week I had some fun with one of the gifts I received, a set of cards sent by Cathey (aka Pumpkin), one of the items from the 'mystery package'! :D LOL! The set featured cards with different backgrounds and 'toppings' to cut and apply as we wish... I've done that! =) heheheh

There's one missing in the picture, I sent it to today's birthday girl, Rita :) Happy Birthday sweetie!!!! :D heheheh I sent her my first card and only after I completed this batch. Rui asked me if I was going into new adventures on Rita's craft (scrap) LOL! No, not at all, I was only having fun with my gift =) Totally amateur work! hahahahahah

to the post office!

Querem saber outra coisa que andei a fazer durante o mês de Agosto?
A preparar muitas cartinhas e pacotes de presentes :) Desde o meu aniversário que comecei a preparar uma pequena surpresa, uma coisinha muito simples, apenas para retribuir uma palavra de agradecimento por todos os mimos que aqui chegaram :D Claro que faço questão de vos retribuir a todas com um grande sorriso no vosso aniversário ;) As cartinhas que estou a enviar são apenas um carinho. Desculpem a demora mas só esta semana as coisas começaram a seguir para o correio.. culpem as férias! heheheh



Hoje foi a primeira remessa, amanhã seguem mais alguns! :p

Por aqui as surpresas ainda continuam :D Recebi um giveaway que ganhei este Verão, acompanhado de mais alguns presentinhos de aniversário! Ah pois é =)



A TWOCS foi o giveaway da Verónica, uma edição antiga mas nova para quem não a tinha ;) heheheeh Tudo o resto foram presentes de aniversário! Já viram bem aquela borracha gigante para a minha colecção?? :D hahahah Muito gira! Miminhos Gorjuss, guardanapos para découpage, fitinhas e ainda um tecido muito querido para fazer algo para o baby que vem a caminho :)

Would you like to know something else I've done during the month of August?
I prepared a lot of letters and gift packages to send around the globe :) Since my birthday I started to make a little surprise, a very simple gift just to say thank you for all my bday surprises :D Of course, I will return with a big smile on your birthdays too ;) This is just a little thank you note. Sorry for the delay, today I made the first trip to the post office... blame my vacation! heheheh

This was the first shipment, a few more will go tomorrow! :p

Surprises keep coming :D On my mailbox arrived a giveaway that I won this summer, along with some more birthday goodies! Oh yes =)

The TWOCS issue was Verónica's giveaway, an old edition but new to me ;) heheheeh All the rest were birthday gifts! Have you seen that giant eraser for my collection? :D hahahah So cool! More Gorjuss gifts, napkins for découpage, ribbons and a cute fabric to make something for the baby that's coming :)

Não sei como está o tempo para quem vive fora de Portugal mas aqui as mangas curtas já rolam na rua :D Solinho bom!!!

E boas também são as surpresas que chegam à minha caixinha de correio :) A Bruna mandou-me um pequeno tesouro (um bordado de familia muito antigo) e um outro tesourinho para eu bordar, passarinhos azuis da CCN :D

And also wonderful is to receive suprises on my mail box :) Bruna sent me a small treasure (an embroidered piece with many years) and another little treasure for me to stitch, lovely bluebirds by CCN :D
