last baby bump update!

Os últimos dias têm um saborzinho agridoce :p Por um lado, ficamos felizes por saber que muito em breve teremos o nosso bebé nos braços, por outro, já se sente a saudade da barriguinha!!! heheheh É tão bom saber que temos o nosso bebé protegido :) Também sei que tive sorte, toda a minha gravidez tem sido excelente, daí que esta experiência tão especial já me deixe saudades =)

Estou tranquila, sem stress e sem ansiedade. Estou contente com o Sol que finalmente decidiu brilhar para dar as boas-vindas ao meu baby boy :D Tanto desejei que finalmente a Primavera espreitou!! heheheh Agora, é aguardar mais um bocadinho para conhecer a carinha do nosso pequenino :) ♥

The last few days are bittersweet :p On the one hand, we're happy to know that very soon we'll have our baby in the arms, on the other hand, there's already a little nostalgia of the baby bump! heheheh It's so good to know we have our baby well protected :) I realize I've been lucky, my entire pregnancy has been excellent, it's easy to understand how special the experience was to me =)

I'm calm, stress free and no anxiety. I'm glad the Sun finally decided to shine and give a warm welcome to my baby boy :D My wish was so strong that Spring decided to take a peek! heheheh Now, we just have to wait a bit more to see our little guy's face :) ♥

another little friend :)

Sempre fui fã destes bonequinhos da DMC, todos os anos surgem novos modelitos e eu já tinha 3 faz tempo :p Além do ursinho do último post, tenho outro ursinho polar com uma mochila às costas (onde está o espaço para bordar) e um patinho que faz pan-dan com o set que bordei ;) heheheh



Já tenho o peluche do ursinho com o nome por isso procurei algo diferente. Achei gira a ideia de pegar um motivo do esquema dos patitos (podem ver um exemplo no metro da foto abaixo). Ainda ponderei acrescentar uma ou duas estrelinhas mas numa peça tão pequena acabava por ficar muito cheio.
Fiquei-me apenas pelo barquinho, simples mas amoroso :)



Agora preciso procurar outra ideia para o ursinho polar =)

I've always been a fan of these DMC soft toys, each year new ones come along and I had 3 bought a while ago :p Besides the teddy bear on my last post, I have another polar bear with a backpack (where's the fabric to stitch) and a cute duck that kinda matches the set I've stitched on the last few years ;)

Since I've already stitched my baby boy's name on the teddy, I tried to look for something different. I had this idea to pick a small design from my little ducks charts (you can see an example on the meter from the second photo). I thought about adding one or two stars but, in such a small piece, it would look to full.
I chose to keep just the boat, simple but sweet :)

Now I need to figure something else for the polar bear =)

cross stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing... what am I not doing? :p

Pensar que daqui a duas semaninhas seremos 3 em casa =) Ainda custa acreditar que a gravidez passou tão rápido e o Lourenço está quase a chegar :)



Corre tudo bem, o único desafio é dormir!!! Fica complicado quando temos um menino a dar pontapés na nossa barriga ou quando a posição dele não colabora com a nossa hehehehe Isso tem diminuído a minha produtividade durante o dia, como não descanso bem, não tenho a mesma energia no dia-a-dia. Mas não pensem que passo o dia deitada, logo quem ;) LOL

Na verdade, incomoda mais estar muito tempo na mesma posição ou a fazer a mesma coisa, o ideal é ir alternando e movimentando. Nem muito tempo de pé, nem muito tempo sentada. Continuar a fazer umas caminhadas mesmo quando a energia é pouca, a actividade faz o corpo sentir-se melhor :)

Os crafts também continuam a rolar :D mas como vos acabei de dizer, não passo muito tempo a fazer a mesma coisa, ou seja, vou fazendo de tudo um pouco heheheh Saber trabalhar com diferentes técnicas acaba por ser bem atractivo nesta fase :) Ponto cruz, crochet, tricot, costura, feltro... tudo tem acontecido aqui :p hahahahah Contei-vos que o mês de Fevereiro seria para trabalhar no decor do quartinho, assim tem sido :) Não tenho mostrado fotos porque estou a tentar terminar mais algumas coisas, será mais giro de mostrar quando o quartinho estiver 'composto' =) Está quase... ;) heheheh



Thinking that in a couple of weeks we will be 3 at home =) Still hard to believe that my pregnancy has gone by so fast and Lourenço is almost here :)

Everything going well , the only challenge is to sleep!!! It gets tricky when you have a little boy kicking inside your belly or when his position doesn't cooperate with yours hehehehe This has decreased my productivity during the day, I don't rest as well at night so not the same energy during the day. But don't you think I spend my day laying down, we are talking about me ;) LOL

Actually, it bothers me more to spend a long time in the same position or doing the same thing, the ideal is to keep alternating and moving. Not much time standing up, nor sitting down for too long. I continue to take my walks even when the energy is low, the activity makes the body feel better :)

My crafts continue on a roll :D But, as I just said , I don't spend a lot of time doing the same thing, I'm doing a bit of everything at the same time heheheh The ability to work with different techniques turns out to be very attractive at this stage :) Cross stitch, crochet, knitting, sewing, felt... everything is happening around here :p hahahahah I've told you before, February would be to work on the nursery's decor, I'm following the plan :) I haven't shown pictures because I'm trying to finish a few more things, it's more interesting to show once the room is 'all set' =) Almost there... ;) heheheh

photo update °•● us 3 :D

No meu último post fiquei com mais algumas fotos para vos mostrar mas as horas do dia têm fugido :p Pisquei os olhos e já é quarta-feira! Acho que nunca vi o tempo passar tão rápido quanto nestas últimas semanas... é mesmo assim, quando queremos que passe devagar é quando corre mais, e vice-versa! ;)

Ao longo da gravidez o Rui foi o fotógrafo de serviço, o que ficou sempre do lado de trás da câmara.. mas o papá também merece ficar na foto, não acham? Agora com um um baby bump 'notável' queria uma foto dos 3 juntos :D Nada dificil quando temos um tripé e um comando remoto, certo?

Tirámos a minha foto, colocámos o tripé, testámos o comando, tudo ok. Havia várias pessoas a passear, a aproveitar o sol como nós ;) E na mesma hora termina a missa! Tentámos nos despachar antes do povo todo sair da igreja :p Pose para a foto e.. clica, clica, não há clique? A máquina não está a tirar fotos, será da distância ou da pilha do comando? Mais pessoas a passar e nós ali feitos tolinhos a tentar tirar fotos, enquanto os outros olhavam, a gente só se ria :p Vocês tinham de ver para acreditar que foi mesmo de cascar a rir!!!! :D

Esperem... eu mencionei que havia uma multidão a passar, não foi? E se foi o barulho de fundo que não deixou ouvir o clique da máquina.. que estava realmente a tirar fotos???!!!! hahahahahaha Fizémos um pequeno filme!! LOL
Tenho de vos dizer que ficaram as melhores fotos de sempre, estas merecem um mosaico e uma moldura no quarto do Lourenço :D



On my last post I had a few more photos to show you but the hours in the day are sneaking fast :p I blinked my eyes and it's already Wednesday! I've never seen time passing by so fast as in these recent weeks... it's always like that, when we want time to slow down it's when it runs over, and vice versa! ;)

Throughout my pregnancy Rui has been the photographer on the job, always on the other side of the camera... but daddy deserves to be on the picture too, don't you agree? Now, with a 'visible' baby bump, I wanted a photo of the 3 of us :D Nothing difficult when you have a tripod and a remote control, right?

We took my photo, placed the tripod, tested the remote, everything ok. There were several people strolling, enjoying the sunny afternoon like us ;) And at the same time it was ending the Mass! We tried to hurry before all the people leave the church :p Pose for the pic and... click, click, no click? Our camera wasn't working, maybe too much distance or low batt on the remote? More people passing and there we were, a couple of fools trying to take photos while others were watching, we just laughed :p You had to see it to believe, we really cracked up laughing!!!! :D

Wait... I mentioned there was a crowd going by, right? What if, the background noise didn't let us hear the click on the camera... that was in fact taking all those pictures???!!!! hahahahahaha We made a short film!! LOL I have to tell you that these are the best photos ever, it sure deserves a mosaic and a frame on Lourenço's room :D

baby bump update!

Quase nem acredito que a chuva parou e tivemos um Domingo de sol :)
E o que se faz num dia de sol? Tira-se fotos, claro!!! :D Com as tempestades que nos perseguem desde Janeiro, tem sido impossivel tirar fotos ao ar livre. Depois de um intervalo de 5 semanas...

Não me incomoda nada, não pesa nem dá trabalho nenhum :) hehehe
Não sinto que seja tão grande quanto vejo ao passar pelo espelho :p Verdade, frente ao espelho é que me surpreendo por ver que a barriguinha está tão crescida =) Como o baby boy que já pesa mais de 2,6 Kg :) E dá pontapés a toda a hora!! O que fica dificil para dormir, quando ele não pára quieto.. diz o Rui que tem os meus genes :p LOL!!!

And what do I do on a sunny day? Take photos of course! :D With the storms persecuting us since January, it has been impossible to take pictures outside. So, after a 5 weeks break...

... will you still tell me that I have a small baby bump? :p
Or does it look more like a basket ball? LOL

It doesn't bother me at any moment, no weight or work at all :) I don't feel it's as big as I see passing by the mirror :p True, in front of the mirror I'm surprised to see how much my belly has grown =) As my baby boy who already weighs more than 2.6 kg :) And gives kicks all the time!! Becomes difficult to sleep when he doesn't sit still... Rui says our boy has my genes :p LOL!!!

Fiquei contente por ler comentários onde dizem que gostam de seguir os meus posts mesmo quando não há grandes fotos de wips para mostrar :) É bom saber que vos entretenho com as minhas aventuras :D hehehe

Foi mesmo este fim-de-semana que terminei a mantinha, já não faltava muito, estaria pronta mais cedo se não tivesse perdido aqueles primeiros dias da semana que passou :p Terminei ontem e ainda vou a tempo de fazer o contorno antes do baby nascer ;) hahhahaha



Já sabem que nestes dias de chuva é complicado mas tentei tirar uma foto que vos mostrasse bem o pontinho na manta. Falta finalizar com um contorno à volta, um pormenor apenas para dar um acabamento :) Ainda estou em dúvida com duas ideias, preciso treinar um bocadinho e ver qual faço melhor ;)



Por agora já estou bastante satisfeita por ver a mantinha assim :D É uma peça que requer o seu tempo (e também a minha estreia!) mas que eu queria muito fazer =) Estou feliz com o resultado!! :D

This past weekend my blanket came to an end, it wasn't missing much, if only I hadn't lost that time in the first days of the week :p I finished it yesterday and there's still time to make the edge before my baby arrives ;) hahhahaha

As you know, these rainy days are not "picture friendly", I tried to do my best to show you the stitches on the photos above. Now, I'm in doubt between two ideas for the edge, it's just a little detail around for a nice finish :)

I'm quite pleased to see my main blanket done :D It's kind of a project that requires a good amount of time (also my first attempt!) but I really wanted to do it =) I'm so happy with the result!! :D

February... how did that happen?! :p

Wooowww! Os meus dias têm voado :p No meio do nosso horário de trabalho, temos de encaixar as consultas médicas, os exames de rotina da gravidez, as aulas de preparação para o parto... Se 24h já são poucas para um dia, nem vos conto o que me pareceram as minhas últimas duas semanas! :p

Agora sim, estou a um mês da chegada do baby boy =) Preciso de outra foto com um update da barriguinha, não é? Tarefa para os próximos dias ;)

Curiosas em saber do progresso da minha mantinha? :D
Com excepção de sexta-feira - em que estava exausta da semana inteira -, a manta foi crescendo um bocadinho mais a cada dia. Como estava ontem...



...num dia de sol há-de sair uma foto de cores mais bonitas ;) hehehe Para quem ainda não tinha visto, estou a usar lã branquinha e fio prata acetinado. Ora bem, dependendo do que ainda fizer hoje, acho que termino segunda ou terça-feira :))) Vou passar o resto da tarde a dar às agulhas!! :D

Wooowww! Days have been sneaking up on me :p Between our working schedule, we have to fit doctors appointments, pregnancy routine exams, labor and birth classes... If 24h are not enough in a day, I won't tell you how short these last two weeks have been! :p

Now it's the real countdown, starting the final month to my baby boy's arrival =) I need another baby bump update photo, right? Task for this week ;)

Anyone curious to know about my baby blanket progress? :D
With the exception of Friday - I was too exhausted from the busy week I had -, my blanket has grown a little more each day. Above you can see how it looked yesterday... on a sunny day I'll show you the real colors ;) hehehe For those seeing for the first time, it's white baby wool with silky silver yarn. Well, depending on how much I'll be able to make today, I think I'll finish Monday or Tuesday :))) I'll spend the rest of the afternoon hooked! :D

weekend progress :)

Ri-me bastante com o comentário da Bruna no meu post último :D Disse-me que se já meti na cabeça que ía terminar a mantinha, então, segunda-feira estaria feita :p LOL É bem verdade que sou assim, quando estou determinada é para terminar mesmo ;) Mas também é verdade que os dias não tiveram horas que chegassem para fazer tanto! hehehe De certo que parte da minha falta de experiência, é a primeira mantinha que faço =) com a prática talvez seja mais rápida mas para começar temos de ir devagar para fazer bonito :)

O meu objectivo são 75 linhas de comprimento para a mantinha, claro que, chegado a esse ponto, terei de confirmar se está na medida ;) Parece que ainda estou longe de chegar ao fim mas fiquei contente com o resultado do fim-de-semana, levando em contas as horas que trabalhei na mantinha, acho que foi um bom progresso :)

Agora, o progresso vai depender do quanto fizer ao longo desta semana. Se conseguir fazer mais algumas linhas em cada noite, de segunda a sexta-feira... se não começar nenhum bordado pelo meio :p hehehehe Mais umas 20 linhas no fim-de-semana seguinte e na próxima semana devo ter a mantinha pronta para o contorno final.. será?? Cenas para ver nos próximos capítulos ;)

I laughed a lot with Bruna's comment on my last post :D She said that if I had my mind set to finish my baby blanket then it would be finished by Monday :p LOL It's true, that sounds pretty much like me when I'm determined to finish something ;) But it's also true there weren't enough hours in the day to make it happen! hehehe It may be for my lack of experience, it's my first blanket =) with practice I might get faster but now I must go slowly to make it pretty :)

My goal is 75 rows long, of course, once I get there, I need to measure and check if it's good ;) Looks like I'm still far from reaching the end but I was very happy with the outcome of the weekend, considering the hours of work I had, I think it was a good progress :)

Now, progress will depend on how much I can get done along the week. If I'm able to make a few more rows each night, Monday through Friday... if I don't start stitching anything in between :p hehehehe Adding more 20 rows next weekend... and I think I will have the blanket ready to make the edge next week... will I? Scenes to watch on the coming chapters ;)

first baby blanket :)

O meu baby boy já tem várias mantinhas mas faz tempo que eu andava com vontade de fazer uma, um modelito especifico que vi na loja de lavores, onde habitualmente compro os meus materiais.

Esta semana, fiz uma pausa no ponto cruz e tirei duas noites para pegar na agulha de crochet. Assim começou uma nova aventura :D A primeira lição que aprendi... é que isto demora a crescer :p LOL Estou a fazer uma mantinha de 60x75cm, podem ver o inicio na foto...



... que tem apenas 6cm de altura hehehe
Será que no fim-de-semana consigo dar-lhe um sério avanço?? :)

My baby boy has several blankets already but for a long while I've been willing to make one, a spefic scheme I saw on my local needlework shop, where I usually buy my supplies.

This week, I took a break on my cross stitch and spent two nights with the crochet hook. Thus began a new adventure :D First lesson learned... it takes too long to grow :p LOL I'm making a small blanket with 60x75cm, on the photo above you can see the start...

... which has only 6cm height hehehe
Will I be able to make a serious progress this weekend??? :)

baby's first outfit =)

Mais um conjuntinho bordado para o Lourenço :) Com um nome longo, é dificil pegar letras que encaixem nas babetes pequeninas e acaba por não dar para juntar mais nada também :p Por isso, complementei apenas a fraldinha com o motivo do bebé, acho que ficou um set amoroso =)



Fotos tiradas no inverno são sempre um 31 para conseguir mostrar as verdadeiras cores! Abaixo, outra imagem para vos mostrar melhor o detalhe do tecido destas peças (deveria ter feito isto nos conjuntos anteriores também).



Talvez se recordem de outra babete que já fiz o nome do baby boy, esse primeiro modelito é maior, para 6 meses. Esta babete é pequenina, mesmo para recém-nascido, será o primeiro conjunto a usar na maternidade :) E já agora, gostavam de ver a primeira roupinha que vai vestir? :D



Azul bebé, cinza claro e branquinho :) As outras roupas ainda não estão definidas mas para o primeiro dia os papás já escolheram =)

With a long name, it's hard to pick letters that fit into these small bibs and ultimately impossible to add anything more :p So, I stitched a baby motif only on the burp cloth, I think it turned out pretty cute =)

Winter weather is no help to show colors on photos! On the second image, a close up to show you the detail of the fabric on these pieces (I should have done this with all the other sets too).

You may remember another bib I've stitched with my baby boy's name, that one is a bigger size, for 6 months. This bib is tiny, for newborn, I choose it to take to the 1st day at the hospital :) If you'd you like to see he's first outfit, last pic above :D Baby blue, light gray and white :) The other clothes are not chosen yet but, for his first day, mommy and daddy have picked what to wear =)

Ainda temos dois meses pela frente, algumas pessoas já estão a encurtar a viagem para apenas 1 mesinho, não façam isso! Eu quero que passe devagar, não cortem ainda mais! ;) hahahahah Começámos o 8º mês (32 semanas) e ainda temos até 12 de Março, data prevista para o parto :)

Com a barriguinha a ficar mais redonda, o ritmo abranda mas ainda há tempo que chegue para mais alguns crafts ;) Espero fazer mais uns bordadinhos durante este mês e passar Fevereiro a entreter-me com os últimos detalhes na decoração do quartinho :D

Falando em bordados, tenho mais uma fraldinha terminada :)

Os bichinhos fofos funcionam muito bem para os meninos, não acham? :) Sempre achei que era mais fácil bordar coisas mimosas para meninas, até que tenho conseguido encontrar opções fofinhas para menino, sem ter de ceder aos carrinhos e comboios! :p LOL

Para o próximo post, um flashback dos bordados finalizados em 2013 :)
E prometo que também farei um post com todos os bordados que fiz para o meu pequeno smurf =) heheheh A Annette já me pediu, não está esquecido ;)

There are still two months to go, some people are already shortening the trip to only 1 month, please don't do that! I want time to pass slowly, don't cut it short even more! ;) hahahahah We started the 8th month (32 weeks) and we still have until March 12th, the prediction for the due date :)

With my baby bump getting rounder, I'm slowing my pace but there's still time for a few more crafts ;) I hope to do some more cross stitching during this month and spend February having fun with the last details on the nursery decoration :D

Speaking of stitching, here's one more finished piece for my baby, another giraffe :) Cute animals work very well for baby boys, don't you agree? :) I always thought it was easier to stitch sweet things for girls, somehow I managed to find good options to make adorable things for my baby boy, without having to yield to cars and trains! :p LOL

baby bump update!

Com as quantidades industriais de chuva que tem caído, foi dificil conseguir uma pausa para tirar uma foto do baby bump, faz tempo que queria registar a evolução mas não havia um intervalo nas tempestades! Este fim-de-semana aproveitei um furinho na meteorologia, uma curta pausa sem chuva, lá fui tentar tirar uma foto. Tentar porque a melhor foto foi esta:



LOL!!! :D Brincadeira :p Na verdade foi uma grande luta contra o vento, com o meu cabelo sempre a voar!! No meio de umas vinte fotos, eliminei aquelas em que estava a segurar o cabelo, a tentar prendê-lo, a falar com o Rui ou a rir-me da situação... sobrou esta:

A começar o 8º mês e estou consideravelmente mais redondinha :p
A barriguinha não pesa, não incomoda nada a não ser quando estou sentada e já noto alguma dificuldade em ter espaço para o estômago! hehehe Deixa de ser tão fácil passar muitas horas sentada a bordar mas também já esperava isso para esta fase, até pensei que seria mais cedo.

O quartinho já está mobilado, falta apenas o tapete que chega no fim de Janeiro. Já temos a roupinha e todos os essenciais para a chegada do baby :) Os planos para as próximas semanas: bordar mais umas coisinhas pequenas, aguardar a entrega do tapete, fazer algumas decorações handmade para o quartinho e esperar uns dias de sol para lavar as roupinhas do baby :)

Espero que as próximas semanas passem muito devagar... não tenho pressa nenhuma, quero aproveitar bastante cada pedacinho =)

I've been waiting for some sun to take an updated photo but it hasn't been easy with the loads of rain that has fallen in the last few weeks! This weekend, there was a little break on the weather, I tried to take a new photo but... not without a struggle :p

Reading here, you have scrolled down the photos so you have seen two :) I started my post joking, saying the first photo was the best I could get.. when I'm not facing the camera hehehehe Actually it was a great fight against the wind, with my hair always flying! We probably took 20 photos and after I eliminated those where I'm holding my hair, trying to put it down, talking to Rui or laughing at the situation... one left! The second photo above heheheh

Starting the 8th month and my bump is getting rounder :p
I don't feel heavy, my baby bump is not bothering at all except when I'm sitting and it's getting a bit difficult to have space for the stomach! hehehe Not as easy to spend many hours stitching but I expected that at this stage, I even thought it would be sooner.

Our baby room has all the furniture, missing only the carpet that will come at the end of the month. We have clothes and all the essentials for our baby's arrival :) The plans for the coming weeks: cross stitch a few little things, wait for the delivery of the carpet, make some handmade itens to decorare the room and wish for some sunny days to wash the baby clothes :)

I hope the next few weeks will pass very slowly... I have no hurry, I'm enjoying every little bit of the way =)

Nesta altura é dificil tirar fotos que mostrem as cores bonitas das peças, com os dias de chuva, a pouco iluminação não colabora nada =/ Mas posso vos dizer que as cores estão em sintonia com as outras peças que decoram o quarto, o azul e amarelinho caiem muito bem :) E as estrelinhas do tecido estampado ficam em perfeita harmonia com este gráfico :D

Matching the pieces I showed you on my last post, another set with blue fabric and stamped white stars, now a sheet and pillowcase for the baby's crib :)

These days have been difficult to take pictures that show the nice and pretty colors for real! Loads of rain, low light, the weather is not colaborating =/ But I can tell you the colors work perfectly with the other pieces decorating the room, the blue and yellow match so well :) And the little stars on the printed fabric are in perfect harmony with this pattern :D

Obrigada por todos os vossos comentários no post anterior :) Uma mantinha assim não é uma peça comum de encontrar, normalmente tem apenas uma barra num canto, como outra manta polar que já fiz para o conjunto dos patinhos. O patinho e o urso dão-lhe um acréscimo de fofura =)

Friends are Forever, Anchor Intermezzo

... fiz outro set de babete e fraldinha de pano, novamente um gráfico saído das revistas Anchor Intermezzo :) A foto pequena não mostra o estampado, sobre o tecido azul são estrelinhas brancas.

E outra babete com 'atitude' hehehehe "Sou mais fofo que tu" :D LOL!!



Terminei Dezembro com outra peça começada mas que só concluí depois da passagem de ano, já segue na lista de 2014 :p

Thanks for all your comments on my previous post :) It's not very common to find that kind of blanket in stores, usually it has only a ribbon to cross stitch at the corner, like this other blanket I stitched from the big baby set. For sure the duckling and the bear bring an extra load of cuteness to the piece =)

More from my December stitching! I made another set of bib and burp cloth, again a pattern out of the Anchor Intermezzo magazines :) The small photo doesn't show the stamp on the blue fabric, it may look like dots but it's stars, tiny white stars.

And another bib with an 'attitude' hehehehe I'm cuter than you :D LOL!

At the end of December I was stitching another piece, finished on the first day of the year so... it counts as the first 2014 finish, coming next! :p

December stitching :)

Com a época de Natal, passeios, comprinhas, viagem até Lisboa... as horas de bordados foram menores mas ainda concluí algumas peças para o baby boy :)

Comecei o mês com uma mantinha muito fofa =) Esta fez-me cair os olhinhos quando a vi na loja! Uma mantinha polar, com uma aplicação para bordar, acompanhada de.. um patinho e um ursinho!!! :D Haverá coisa mais perfeita para mim? hehehe Ponderei o que bordar, pensei numa frase ou num trecho de uma música infantil... uma canção de embalar.. a música do Vitinho! :D



Uma figura bem especial, tanto na minha infância como na do Rui :)
Velhos tempos em que as crianças iam dormir cedinho, na hora do Vitinho, nem pensávamos em querer ficar acordados até mais tarde. Se o Vitinho ía dormia, nós também. No futuro, espero apresentar o Vitinho ao Lourenço ;)

With the Christmas season, going out now and then, some time shopping, our trip to Lisbon... my stitching hours weren't as much as usual but I was able to finish a few more pieces for my baby boy :)

I started the month with a very cute blanket =) This one made my eyes drop when I saw it on the store! A baby blue polar balnket, with an application ready to stitch, and two friends on top... a duckling and a bear! :D Could it be more perfect for me? hehehe I thought about what to stitch, maybe a quote or some piece of a children's song... a lullaby.. our portuguese cartoon character, Vitinho's lullaby! :D

Vitinho is a memorable little boy from our childhood, Rui and mine :)
Old times when kids went to bed early, after dinner we would see this clip on TV and go to sleep, we didn't even think about wanting to stay up later. If Vitinho was going to bed, we were too. In the future, I hope to introduce Vitinho to baby Lourenço ;)

On the blanket you can read the beginning of the song, sounds much better and it rhymes in portuguese but I'll translate so you know what it says: "It's time for bed / let's go to sleep / watch outside, the stars / sleep smiling"

Apesar do Lourenço ainda estar na barriguinha =) já marca a sua presença e somos três neste Natal :) Fiquei com vontade de fazer o enfeite que comentei no post anterior, os pézinhos que estão no centro do mosaico, claro! hehehe Para combinar com a nossa decoração de Natal, comecei a procurar bolas brancas ou transparentes, ainda não tive sucesso nas buscas =/ Se alguém souber onde posso encontrar (inclusive lojas online), agradeço as dicas ;)

Lourenço is still in my belly =) but he's already present in our life, we are three at home this Christmas :) I'm really willing to make the ornament I commented on my previous post, those little feet at the center of the mosaic, of course! hehehe To match our Christmas decorations, I wanted to buy one white or plain glass ball, I've been looking but no success on my search yet =/ I see so many tutorials online, I think glass balls are very common in US but not so much around here. Can anyone tell me an online store where I could find it? All tips are very welcome ;)

Deve andar por aí um patinho perdido... porque tantas pessoas viram um patinho no meu post anterior!!! :p LOL Era um ursinho, um Forever Friends que, há duas semanas atrás, esteve noutra foto aqui no meu blog heheheh Calculei que deixaria algumas de vocês com aquele feeling de 'eu-já-vi-isto-em-algum-lado..' Ora espreitem este post, bem topo do meu monte de coisas a bordar :D

Forever Friends Little Bear, in Cross Stitcher 211

Respondendo a algumas questões que me colocaram, não preciso costurar nada, a própria peça trazia o quadrado de quadrilé para bordar, só difere no facto de ser azul em vez do habitual branco. Como tenho encontrado bonitas peças prontas a bordar, não vale a pena gastar tempo/dinheiro a comprar tecidos/costurar. Quando começar a trabalhar na decoração do quarto, aí sim, irei costurar algumas coisas e inventar de raíz! Para breve ;) hehehe

O que virá a seguir? Ainda não sei! Vou encerrar Novembro satisfeita por ter bordado todas as peças que queria e ainda mais algumas! :D hehehe Com Dezembro a bater à porta... é a 'abertura oficial' da época de Natal cá em casa!! É hora de decorar e espalhar enfeites por todo o lado :D

There's probably a little duck lost somewhere... because so many people saw a duck on my previous post! :p LOL It was a bear, a Forever Friends bear that, two weeks ago, was on another photo here on my blog heheheh I figured I'd leave some of you with that feeling 'I've-seen-this-somewhere..' Take a peak on this post, right there on the top of the pile with all my things to stitch :D

Replying to some questions you asked, I won't be sewing it, the piece already has the Aida square to stitch, the only difference is the fact that it's blue instead of the usual white. I've been able to find beautiful pieces ready to stitch, not worth spending time/money buying fabric/sewing. Once I start working on the room decoration, then I'll sew some things and make it from scratch! Soon ;)

What's coming next? Don't know yet! I'm closing November very happy to have stitched all things I wanted and even some more! :D hehehe With December knocking on the door... it's the 'official opening' of the Christmas season on our home! It's time to deck the halls! :D
