IHSW & MSherry SAL

Baixaram as temperaturas e bastaram 2 dias para quem ficar doente? :p Esta minha garganta não resiste bem às baixas temperaturas, todo o meu corpo gosta de calor! Não é só a mente e a boa disposição!! heheheh

Foi um bom fim-de-semana para o IHSW, dia inteiro passado na cama a fazer ponto cruz e a ver uma maratona de séries na TV. Valeu a pena para recuperar o atraso no meu SAL da Margaret Sherry :)



Ainda sem olhinhos porque vou colocar missangas no final, este é o primeiro cãozinho de seis. Para quem não conhece, fica uma imagem do que será o trabalho completo:



Com esta 'mudança de planos' no fim-de-semana, acabei por não fazer o sorteio do giveaway, sai no próximo post ;)

Last week the cold struck again and 2 days were enough for who to get sick? :p My throat does not stand well low temperatures, my whole body likes heat! It's not only my mind and mood! heheheh

It was a good weekend for IHSW, I spent all day in bed stitching and watching a marathon of TV series. It was worth to catch up on Margaret Sherry SAL :)

On the first picture above you can see my puppy without eyes, I will add beads once I finish the piece. This is the first puppy of six, in case you don't know the design, there's a preview of the complete work on the second photo.

With this 'change of plans' for my weekend, I ended up not doing the draw for my giveaway, it will come on the next post ;)

IHSW °•● 6 Fat Men

Terminei de me actualizar pelas novidades da blogosfera mas saltei os posts do IHSW, não se assustem, saltei apenas por um curto tempo! Vou seguir a lista de participantes no blog da Joysze, para garantir que não falho ninguém no caminho, muito em breve terão comentários nos vossos posts do IHSW ;)

Entretanto, hoje lá veio uma brecha de sol ao almoço e saiu foto do meu wip! Cá está ele, mais um gordinho a crescer :D



Ainda faltam duas pintinhas nos olhos da coruja, dois nózinhos franceses que deixei para o fim. Espero completar o bloco até ao fim-de-semana, vamos ver se consigo, se este tempo frio não me desmoraliza :p

Desde o inicio que este bloquinho é o meu preferido :)
E vocês, qual dos 6 gordinhos gostam mais?

I'm up to date on my blog reading but skipped IHSW posts, don't be scared, it's only for a short time! I will follow the list of participants on Joysze's blog, to be sure I want miss anyone on the way, very soon you'll have my comment on your IHSW progress ;)

Meanwhile, today there was finally a bit of sunlight during my lunch break and a picture of my wip came out! Here he is, one more chubby guy is growing :D

There are two dots in the eyes of the owl, two french knots I left for the end. I expect to complete this block until the weekend, let's wait to see if I'll make it, if this cold weather won't ruin my mojo :p

Since the first time I saw this design that this block has been my favorite :) What about you, who's your favorite fat man between all 6?

Puddles of Love, Gorjuss

Faz dias que não pára de chover por aqui, bordar esta Gorjuss com este tempo... até tem uma certa mística =) hehehe Mas a falta de luz natural não ajuda nada às fotos, logo que o Sol decida voltar, mostro-vos os detalhes em maior pormenor e com cores bonitas. Quando estiver na sua moldura ;)

E é festa em dose dupla porque é o 1º bordado terminado em 2013 :D

We've been under the rain for days, stitching this Gorjuss with this weather... has a certain mystique =) hehehe But the absence of natural light doesn't help for the photos, as soon as the Sun comes back, I'll show you the details with close-ups and pretty colors. When she's on her frame ;)

And it's double party because she's my 1st finish in 2013 :D

social Saturday, hermit Sunday!

O plano para o fim-de-semana era ficar sossegadinha em casa, bordar e mais nada :p Já dá para perceber que saiu furado, certo? ehehhehe Estava toda contente com a chegada do IHSW porque ía dar um bom arranque na minha Gorjuss mas... as coisas foram surgindo e comecei a acumular tudo para Sábado, assim sempre sobrava o Domingo livre ;)

A manhã de Sábado começou com uma ida a algumas lojas no centro da cidade, precisava comprar alguns materiais, claro que a loja de lavores também estava no roteiro ;) Quando voltei a entrar em casa já era hora de almoço! Logo a seguir tinha uma workshop de ponto cruz, mais um tema que inseri nas minhas Workshops pois recebi contactos de pessoas que estavam interessadas :) De inicio não pensei que haveria tanta procura na área do bordado, ainda bem, é o meu tema preferido! :D heheheh A aula terminava às 18h mas conversa puxa conversa e eram quase 19h, só tive tempo de arrumar a mesa e saímos para jantar. O dia terminou às 23h, já não havia energia para bordar nadinha!! Acabei a noite a jogar Smurfs Village :p

Para equilibrar o Sábado cheio segui-se um domingo calminho :) Comecei a manhã a bordar, ao almoço fiz um leite creme - que saiu o melhor leite creme da história dos leite cremes!!! hahahahaha :D - mais bordado durante a tarde, para o jantar pizza e jogo do Euro Portugal x Holanda (lamento Annette!!) com mais um bocadinho de bordado à noite :)



Quinta Gorjuss que faço e curiosamente comecei esta de maneira diferente, sempre começo pela carinha mas não sei porquê aqui comecei pelo ursinho! Depois do ursinho fiz as meias com todas aquelas trocas de cor, preferi fazer logo essa parte do que deixar para o fim. Agora estou no vestidinho verde :)
Devo continuar com os braços, pernas, rosto e finalizar com o cabelo.

Aqui já podem ver o efeito do tecido Marble da DMC, acho que este efeito marmorizado fica mesmo perfeito para o céu :D

Viram como foi o meu fim-de-semana, a segunda também começou com uma agenda cheia! Hoje espero responder a todos os vossos emails e ainda ter um tempinho para espreitar a blogosfera ;) Uma excelente terça para vocês!!! :D

My plan for the weekend was to stay at home stitching and doing nothing else more :p That plan was almost a total fail as you are about to see ehehhehe I was so happy with IHSW coming because it was my opportunity to finally start my Gorjuss girl and make a good progress on her but... things were coming along and I was scheduling everything for Saturday, this way I could have my whole Sunday free ;)

Saturday morning began with a visit to a few stores, I needed to buy some supplies, of course my LNS was also in the way ;) When I got back home it was time for lunch! Immediately after I had one cross stitch Workshop, one more theme on my Workshops because I received many contacts from people who were interested :) At first I didn't think there would be so many people looking to learn cross stitch, that's great, after all is my favorite craft! :D heheheh Class was supposed to end at 6 p.m. but we kept talking and it was almost 7, I only had time to clean the table, put everything in place and we went out to dinner. The day ended at 11 p.m, there was no energy to stitch, I just played a little Smurfs Village :p

To balance a busy Saturday, a quiet Sunday came next :) I started my day stitching in the morning, during lunch I made créme brulée - which came out the best créme brulée in the history of créme brulées! hahahahaha :D - more stitching in the afternoon, for dinner pizza and soccer game Portugal x Holland (sorry Annette!!) with a little more stitching at night :)

It's my fifth Gorjuss girl and curiously I started this one differently, I always start with the face but this time I started with the little bear! Then I stitched the socks, with all those color changes, didn't want to leave that for last. Now I'm making her green dress :) I'll probably continue with the arms, legs, face and finish with her hair. DMC Marble fabric looks just perfect for the sky :D

You know how my weekend went, Monday also started with a full schedule! Today I hope to reply all your emails and take a stroll through the blogosphere ;) Have an excellent Tuesday!!! :D

hermit Sunday

A pergunta era se no Domingo seria capaz de terminar um bloco completo do Halloween Rules. Nope... fiquei a distância de duas abóboras :p heheheh Como é apenas uma etapa do bordado tirei uma foto a preto e branco, prometo que a próxima será cheia de cor :)

muitas fotos bonitas para apreciar :)

The question was if I would be able to finish another block on Halloween Rules in just one day. Nope... I missed it by the distance of two pumpkins :p heheheh It's a wip picture so I'm posting a black and white photo, I promise that the next will be in full color :)

Now I'm off to read your blogs, there's plenty to read and many beautiful pictures to appreciate :)

IHSW + SAL °•● Halloween Rules

Passou mais um fim-de-semana, calminho mas gostoso :)
Foram também dois dias de descanso para o meu portátil, o que deixou muitos blogs para ler e q.b. de emails por responder :p Em compensação, as agulhas trabalharam muito bem, finalizei mais um bloquinho no meu Halloween Rules! É impossível não adorar estas cores, a dica da Cathey para o tecido valeu-nos bem, está a ficar muito giro com este lilás no fundo :D



Falta-me apenas mais um item na minha lista de metas para este mês ;)

Another weekend is gone, very calm over here but also nice :)
Two days of rest for my laptop, which means that now I have plenty blogs to read and a good amount of emails to reply :p On the other hand, my needles worked very well, I finished one more block on Halloween Rules! It's impossible not to love these colors, I'm thankfull for Cathey's idea about the fabric, it's turning out really cute with this lilac on the background :D

Only one more item to stitch from my goals list for this month ;)

IHSW from start to finish

Vocês sentiram a Primavera a querer dar um olá este fim-de-semana? :D



Ontem o dia esteve tão bom que até se pode dizer que estava quente!
Quente! :) heheheh Enquanto o Rui cuidou da relva e colou no sitio as cadeiras e a mesa (que estavam arrumados por causa do tempo mais ruim de Inverno), eu fiz uma nova receita para o almoço, coloquei um bolinho de iogurte no forno e arrumei a cozinha. Além do cheirinho a bolo, estava-se bem com as portas abertas - a nossa casa não tem janelas, só grandes portas de vidro - a sentir o ar quentinho lá de fora :) No fim fomos comprar umas florzinhas novas para o jardim :D Isto é que foi um Domingo com qualidade hehehehe





Mas antes já tinha terminado o meu gatinho...



.. quase que terminava a peça final se não me faltasse uma fitinha que teimei em colocar :p Mas a ideia já está em execução, em breve mostro-vos ;)



E como acontece em todos o inícios de semana, há muitos bloguinhos para visitar, toneladas de emails por responder :p O habitual ;) heheheh

Did you feel it? Did you feel Spring saying hello this weekend? :D
Yesterday the weather was so good that we can actually say that it was warm!
Warm! :) Heheheh While Rui took care of the grass and put in place the chairs and table (which were storaged because of the bad winter weather), I made a new recipe for lunch, put a yogurt cake in the oven and cleaned up the kitchen. Besides the smell of cake in the air, it was so nice to have the doors open - our house has no windows, only large glass doors - and feel the warm air coming in :) In the end we went to buy some new little flowers for the garden :D This is how I like to spend a quality Sunday hehehehe

But before I had stitched my Margaret Sherry kitten, from start to finish :)
I almost made my final piece, if only I wasn't missing a ribbon in the color I wanted :p But the idea is already in progress, I'll show you soon ;)

And as it happens at every new week, I have many blogs catch up, tons of emails to reply :p The usual ;) heheheh A great week to all! :D

IHSW + housework = weekend

O meu fim-de-semana foi semi-sabotado por coisas que eu prefiro fazer durante a semana (em vez de deixar para estes dois dias)... arrumar a casa e cuidar da roupa :p Mas lá teve que ser hehehe Diga-se de passagem que ter uma coisa boa para fazer, motiva a fazer as outras mais depressa ;) hehehhe

A manhã de sábado foi para arejar, passear e fazer umas compras :) De tarde arrumar a casa, lavar e engomar roupa, ainda fiz uma coroa para a porta da entrada :D E à noite peguei nas agulhas e ataquei o Halloween Rules:



No Domingo tive de refazer o relvado =/ Tinha bordado a preto quando o correcto seria verde! Esta é uma das vantagens de fazer um SAL com uma amiga, foi a Cathey que me avisou da minha asneira :p hehehehe Relvado refeito, falta a lua, a abóbora e a palavra Halloween para terminar o cabeçalho. Ainda assim, não foi um mau progresso para meio fim-de-semana :)

E o vosso fim-de-semana, como foi? :)

My weekend was half-sabotaged by things I'd rather do during the week (instead of leaving it for these two days)... cleaning the house and laundry :p But it had to be done... not all bad, having a good thing to do after, helps to do all the rest faster ;) hehehhe

Saturday morning we went out for breakfast and some shopping :) In the afternoon I cleaned up the house, washed and ironed clothes, I even made a Winter wreath for the front door :D At night, I grabbed my needles and it was time for Halloween Rules!

On Sunday I had to stitch the lawn below the graves again =/ I stitched in Blackbird where it's supposed to be Moss! This is one of the advantages of stitching with a friend, Cathey told me about my screw up :p hehehehe Lawn redone, now it's missing the moon, the pumpkin and the word Halloween to finish the header. Still, not a bad progress for half-weekend :)

Bluebell + IHSW

Uhuuu!! Ontem consegui actualizar-me por todos os blogs, faltam os emails mas pelo menos recuperei o atraso do fim-de-semana na leitura dos blogs :)

O meu último compromisso pendente é com o IHSW de Dezembro... já passou um bocadito :p Bordei bastante no terceiro fim-de-semana de Dezembro (não houve problemas de calendário pois já tinha todos os presentes de Natal tratados) mas falhei com a postagem =/ No meio do giveaway dos 12 dias de Natal, não sobrou oportunidade nem para postar o meu progresso nem para visitar as restantes participantes! Hoje mostro-vos o progresso que fiz e a seguir vou correr a listinha dos blogs do IHSW ;)

Como deixei a Bluebell em Novembro...



... e o progresso no IHSW - Dezembro:



Terminei todas as flores no topo, o que significa que terminei a primeira etapa, de bordar todas as cores DMC :) Etapa seguinte? Kreinik! :p

No fim-de-semana de Ano Novo, depois de colocar os botõezinhos no Christmas Rules, voltei à minha fadinha e comecei a bordar as linhas metalizadas Kreinik. É o que tenho bordado desde o inicio de 2012...



... ontem terminei as asas :D

Uhuuu!! Yesterday I was able to update all my blog reading, I still have tons of emails to reply but at least I'm not behind on your blogs now :)

My last pending commitment is with IHSW December... a little bit has gone by :p I stitched a lot during the third weekend of December (no scheduling problems because all my Christmas gifts were ready by then) but I failed to post =/ With 12 days of Christmas and the busy season, there was no opportunity to post my progress or even to visit the other stitchers! Today I show you the progress I made and then I'll run the list of blogs for IHSW ;)

First picture above, Bluebell as I left her in November... next, my progress during IHSW - December :) I finished all bluebells on top, which means that I completed my first step, all DMC colors done :) Next » Kreinik! :p

On New Year's weekend, after adding the buttons to Christmas Rules, I got back to my fairy and started to stitch those Kreinik. That's what I've been doing since the beginning of 2012... yesterday I finished the wings :D
She's close to be ready! :))))

IHSW with Bluebell

Ora bem, o meu fim-de-semana não foi passado numa onda eremita mas sem dúvida que participar no International Hermit and Stitch Weekend deu uma impulsionada extra para bordar! Aproveitei ao máximo o tempo que passei em casa para ter um bom progresso para postar aqui hoje :)

Voltei à Bluebell :) Podem ver o 'antes' neste post e agora:



Falta completar alguns espacinhos e estou quase a terminar o vestido! Quer dizer, refiro-me à parte com linhas DMC, ainda há espaços para preencher com linhas Kreinik (meadas metalizadas de uma outra marca) e as missangas. Planeei bordar a minha fadinha por etapas: DMC » Kreinik » Caron Waterlilies » Contorno » Missangas

Pode-se dizer que, até estar terminada, ainda tenho 'alguns fins-de-semana' pela frente :p hehehehe Agora tenho muitos bloguinhos para visitar e toneladas de emails para responder!! Oh céus... :p

Well, my weekend wasn't really a hermit time but being part of the IHSW gave me an extra push to stitch! I took the most of my time at home to stitch and have a good progress to post here today :)

I'm back to Bluebell :)

Only missing to fill a few blanks to complete her dress! I mean, the part with DMC threads, there are still spaces to fill with Kreinik and beads. I planned to stitch my fairy in steps: DMC » Kreinik » Caron Waterlilies » backstitch » beads

Until Bluebell is all done, you can say that I still have a 'few weekends' ahead to stitch :p hehehehe Now I have lots of blogs to read and tons of emails to reply!! Oh my... :p

Fiquei muito contente com os vossos comentários no tutorial do último post, tinha receio que a minha explicação não fosse muito clara :p Fico contente que tenham compreendido bem! De qualquer modo, estejam à vontade para colocar questões/dúvidas, disponham! =) E não tenham receio de tentar fazer, é assim mesmo que se aprende, também comecei a errar e a desfazer (mais do que uma vez) até conseguir fazer direitinho. Faz parte ;)

Ainda tenho a minha primeira receita de cupcakes para postar mas antes não consegui resistir a vos mostrar uma outra coisinha :) Pela primeira vez, encontrei uma loja a vender artigos de papelaria da Gorjuss! Quer dizer, artigo, só tinha um tipo de bloquinho mas já me deixou contente :D hehehehe



Já lhe dei destino, é o meu novo diário de bordado :) hehehe Não vou anotar horas nem cronometrar tempos! Básicamente, é um bloquinho onde irei anotar os dias e as coisinhas que bordo. Isto vai me ajudar, por exemplo, com a Bluebell, para ter uma noção de quantas semanas/meses leva a bordar este projecto maior ;) Será também para anotar ideias de coisas novas para fazer ou dicas para finalizar as peças.. um diário para os crafts :D

Planos para este fim-de-semana? Bordar, bordar muito :)
Pela primeira vez, vou participar no International Hermit and Stitch Weekend! :) Para quem ainda não conhece, é uma actividade que ocorre a cada 3º fim-de-semana do mês, um grupo assume o compromisso de bordar durante os 2 dias e na 2ª feira seguinte cada qual posta o seu progresso e visita os restantes blogs do grupo. Já tinha intenção de passar o fim-de-semana a bordar, estou a aproveitar a oportunidade para experimentar algo novo e ainda conhecer algumas amigas pelo caminho! :D



E os vossos planos para o fim-de-semana? Faço o que fizerem, não se esqueçam de se divertir :D Só faz bem à saúde! ;)

I was so pleased with your comments on my tutorial from the last post =) I was afraid my explanation wasn't very clear, special in english :p I'm glad you all understood me well! Anyway, if you have questions / doubts, feel free to ask! And don't be afraid to try, that's exactly how we learn, I started making many mistakes until I got it right. It's part of the job ;)

I still have my first cupcake recipe to post but I couldn't resist showing you something else first :) I bought my first stitching journal :) For the first time, I found a store with Gorjuss stationery! Well, they had only one kind of notebook but that was enought to make me happy :D hehehehe I'll use it to write down what I stitch and the days, I won't be counting the hours, not that. With SALs and other things, I lose the notion of the time it takes to make something. This will help me with Bluebell, for example, with my stitching journal I will be able to know how many weeks/months took to stitch her ;) Also to write ideas for new things to do or tips to finish the pieces.. a craft journal :D

My plan was to stitch a lot during the weekend anyway so I'm taking the opportunity to try something new and meet some friends on the way! :D
