Duas semanitas sem post aqui... já estavam a pensar que eu tinha perdido o ritmo? :p Nada disso! No fim-de-semana passado acabei por não escrever nada porque... estive a bordar, a bordar bastante :D Consegui aproveitar bem o tempo e entusiasmei-me com o avanço na minha Gorjuss :) Agora com o cabelo todo feito, o lacinho e até os braços. Fiquei contente :)



Tirei foto ainda no bastidor, daí que o tecido pareça um pouco aberto.
O tom escuro do cabelo ficará mais uniforme ;)

Vamos ver se conseguirei fazer o vestido no mês de Fevereiro... embora... Nestes últimos dias descobri que o meu pequenito gosta de dinossauros :D Estou tentada a fazer um em amigurumi :p ...Será?

Two weeks without news... you were all thinking that I had lost the rhythm? :p Not at all! Last weekend I ended up not writing anything here because... I was stitching, stitching a lot :D I was able to make a good use of my free time and I got excited to see the progress on my gorjuss girl :) Hair all done, bow and even her arms. I'm happy :)

I took this photo still on my q-snap so the fabric may seem a bit open. Once it's out, the dark color on her hair will blend better ;)

Let's wait to see if I will finish her dress in February... although... These last few days I found out that my little man likes dinosaurs :D I'm tempted to make one amigurumi dino :p ...Will I?

Deixei algumas pessoas surpreendidas e outras entusiasmadas com o inicio de mais uma Gorjuss, diria mesmo que vocês ficaram tão contentes quanto eu por me verem bordar novamente :) heheheh

É bem verdade que postar no blog incentiva a bordar e bordar incentiva a postar, queremos sempre ter progressos para partilhar no nosso blog e gostamos de o fazer, não é? Um ciclo motivador ;) Obrigada pelo vosso apoio!

Falando em apoio... já viram as novidades da Lizzie Kate para este ano? Começaram bem, com uma expressão que eu adoro e já usei várias vezes: "Put on your big girl panties..."

"Friends are like bras" também está bem engraçado! Saltaram os dois para a minha lista de favoritos :) Oportunidade para bordar é que vai demorar um bocadito... talvez para a segunda metade do ano :p Por agora quero continuar com a Gorjuss e fico contente se terminar em menos de 6 meses!



Só consigo bordar um bocadito ao fim-de-semana mas estou a conseguir manter o ritmo, a menina está a crescer :) Parece que o ciclo motivador já está a fazer o seu efeito, não acham? :D

Some of you were surprised to see me stitching another Gorjuss and others were excited with my new start, I would say you were all as happy as I was to see me stitching again :) heheheh

It's true that posting on the blog encourages to stitch more and stitching encourages to post, we want to have progress to share on our blog and we enjoy doing so, don't you agree? A motivation cycle ;) Thank you for your support!

Speaking about support... have you seen Lizzie Kate's releases for this year? Very good start with a saying that I love, so fun and I've used it several times: "Put on your big girl panties... and deal with it!" :D LOL

"Friends are like bras" is also pretty funny! Both jumped into my favorites list :) Opportunity to stitch won't come very soon... perhaps on the second half of the year :p For now, I want to continue with my gorjuss girl and I'll be happy if I finish her in less than 6 months!

I can only take a couple of hours to stitch on the weekend but I'm keeping my pace, my girl is growing :) It looks like the motivation cycle is already doing its effect, isn't it? :D

can you guess what's coming? :)

As minhas últimas três fraldinhas conquistaram alguns corações =) Eu comecei por gostar da joaninha, a seguir gostei mais do ratinho, no fim foi o ouriço que mais me encantou :) Mas sou suspeita porque mudei-lhe completamente as cores! O ratinho tinha ficado mais escuro do que eu esperava, aprendi com a experiência, para o ouriço escolhi cores a gosto em vez de seguir a tabela!

Mas não pensem que bordei muito ou rápido, os motivos eram mesmo pequeninos, não foi complicado terminar em dois dias. Foi chato pelo tecido mas isso acabou por me dar mais vontade de terminar logo! ;) heheheh

Na segunda-feira comecei a peça seguinte, duas noites a bordar e o avanço ainda é pequenino mas algumas de vocês talvez adivinhem o que vem por aí :)



Será que sabem??? :p Esta só deve ficar pronta para o próximo fim-de-semana, vou bordando um bocadinho todas as noites, o crescimento é lento.. mas já é a décima peça que faço este mês, nada mau :D

My last three cuties won some hearts =) At first I really liked the ladybug, then I thought the mouse was even cuter, in the end it was the hedgehog that charmed me the most :) But I'm suspicious because I completely changed the colors! The mouse turned out darker than I expected, learned from experience, for the hedgehog I chose my own colors instead of following the color key!

Don't think I'm stitching a lot or too fast, those designs were really small, it wasn't hard to finish in two days. The fabric was a pain but it ended up increasing my willing to finish it soon! ;) heheheh

On Monday I started the next piece, two nights stitching and the progress is still small but some of you may guess what's coming :) Can you see it?? :p This one should only be ready next weekend, stitching a little every night, slow progress... It's actually the 10th piece I stitch this month, not bad :D

waiting for me this weekend!

Depois da maratona do fim-de-semana passado, a corrida contra o tempo para terminar os dois puppies :p hehhehe Segui-se um break nas agulhas.. esta semana não bordei nadinha de nada :p A semana começou cheia de trabalho, ao fim do dia o cansaço era muito e a preguiça q.b.! Só ontem consegui organizar os meus próximos wips, 3 peças para o baby :)

Este fim-de-semana tenho à minha espera o Lickle Ted :D



Escolhi os gráficos, tirei cópias das revistas, alinhavei nas peças e separei as linhas. Está tudo a postos para começar! :)

Também estou à espera da chegada de uma menina este fim-de-semana, a pequena Bia está quase a chegar =) Noticias em breve!!!

E vocês, o que têm à espera este fim-de-semana? :D

After last weekend's marathon, my race against time to finish those two puppies :p hehhehe My needles stopped, there was a break this week... I haven't made a single stitch :p Since Monday I've been too busy with work, at the end of the day I was too tired and lazy! Only yesterday I managed to start organizing my next wips, 3 pieces for my baby :)

This weekend I have Lickle Ted waiting for me :D

I chose the designs, made copies of the magazines, marked on the fabric and separated the needed threads. Everything is ready to start! :)

I'm also waiting a baby girl to arrive this weekend, little Bia will be here soon =) News to come!!!

mystery solved + a bit of Gorjuss to show :)

Abrandei um pouco o ritmo pela blogosfera mas não pensem que estive parada pela web, aliás.. devem ter reparado nos emails a cair nas vossas caixas ;) Tive de me focar um pouco nos emails senão nunca mais recuperava o atraso em tantas mensagens :p Mas acreditem que me divirto muito a escrever a toda a gente :D Só tenho pena das pessoas que não deixam email, mais uma vez vos digo que fica dificil de dar retorno quando não temos para onde enviar =/

Hoje trago mais um update no lentinho progresso da Gorjuss :p Isto de ter um bebé a crescer na barriga faz as outras 'meninas' crescerem mais devagar hehehe Mas crescem! Já faltou mais ;)



Talvez agora (de férias e com os emails todos respondidos hehehe) consiga dar um bom avanço e terminar rapidinho :) Vamos esperar para ver como correm os próximos dias :p

Sobre o mistério do post anterior, já sabia que a 'culpada' se revelaria :D Foi a Cathey (aka Pumpkin), que mesmo estando a passar por uma fase tão dificil na vida, teve a atenção e o carinho de me fazer tal surpresa =) Fez a compra online do Reino Unido e por isso compensava mais enviar directo para Portugal do que encaminhar para o Canadá e retornar à Europa :p Já calculava que a razão seria esta mas não sabia mesmo de quem vinha!

É fantástico como todas vocês continuam a me surpreender! :D Sempre com tanto carinho, atenção, com os gestos mais simples que nos enchem o coração e uma amizade que atravessa todo o globo... Sou muito grata por todas as pessoas fantásticas que tenho conhecido ao longo destes anos, acreditem =)

I had to slow down my pace on the blogosphere but don't think I was away from the web, in fact... you may have noticed a few emails dropping in your inboxes ;) I had to focus on emails or I would never catch up with so many messages :p But believe me, I have so much fun writing back to everyone :D I'm just sorry for those readers who leave no email, I say it again, it's hard to send some return when we have no address to write back =/

Today I bring you another update on the slow progress of my Gorjuss :p Having a baby growing in my belly makes the other 'girls' grow more slowly heheheh But they grow! Every small progress it's a progress ;)

Maybe now (on vacation and with emails answered hehehe) I can speed it up and finish my girl :) Let's wait to see how the next couple of days will flow :p

On the mystery from my previous post, I knew the 'guilty' friend would show herself :D It was Cathey (aka Pumpkin), even when she's going through such difficult moment in life, she had the attention and care to make me such a surprise =) Cathey made ​​the purchase online from the UK, it's easier to send direct to Portugal than to Canada and back to Europe :p I imagined that this would be the reason but I had no idea from who it was coming!!

pregnancy rhythm & some stitching :)

3 dias sem posts... já tinham lançado o alerta para me procurarem?? :D LOL
Uma pequena pausa mas mesmo assim não é costume neste bloguito ;)
Culpa do fim-de-semana... e deste novo ritmo de grávida :p ehehehe Quem não tem experiência não faz ideia do quanto uma gravidez nos altera o ritmo logo desde o inicio! Estou a aprender que sim ;)

Os crafts também abrandaram muito, só consigo mesmo fazer alguma coisa ao fim-de-semana =/ Queria eu terminar a Gorjuss até ao fim de Julho, que piada! hahahaha Mas já tem roupinha, não falta tudo ;) Mais uns 15 dias e talvez esteja terminada :p hahahahha



Tenho recebido imensos emails, desculpem a demora no retorno mas prometo que todos receberão a minha resposta! :) Só vos peço um bocadinho de paciência, eu chego lá ;) heheheh

dressing up!

Um Domingo a bordar e a menina cresceu :) A ida à cabeleireira foi rápida, agora está na costureira a preparar o seu vestido :D heheheh



Hoje deu para tirar uma foto mais bonita, com a luz do dia, ao contrário do último post em que já era fim da tarde :p - sempre digo que a luz natural faz toda a diferença nas nossas fotos, mais uma vez se comprova!

Mais uma semaninha e talvez fique pronta ;)

One Sunday stitching and my girl grew :) The hairdresser appointment was quick, now the seamstress is preparing her dress :D hehehe

Today I was able to take a pretty picture, with sunlight, unlike my last post when it was already late in the afternoon :p - I always say that natural light makes all the difference in our pictures, once again it shows!

Next week she might be ready for a happy dance ;)

Está visto que toda a gente adora um peixinho que não requer manutenção ;) hehehe Sinceramente, não gosto de ver peixinhos de verdade dentro destes aquários tão pequenos, o peixe pode ser pequenino mas um globo tão diminuto não me parece um lugar feliz =/ Os peixes precisam de espaço para nadar e esticar as barbatanas!!! :D LOL

A ideia de fazer um peixinho em amigurumi pareceu-me bem gira, engraçada pelo contraste com a realidade e ao mesmo tempo divertida para decorar o espaço :D Agora vive na entrada da nossa casa :)

Passando da entrada para a sala, ainda preciso terminar 3 meninas para a 'Parede'! :D heheheh Está quase completa a primeira colecção de 12, será que consigo terminar até ao fim do Verão?? :p



Everyone loves a goldfish that requires no maintenance ;) hehehe I honestly don't like to see real fish in these tiny aquariums, as small as fish may be, these small globes don't look like a happy place =/ Fish need space to swim and stretch their fins!! :D LOL

The idea of ​​making a goldfish in amigurumi looked so fun, cool contrast with reality and at the same time fun to decorate the space :D Now he's living on our home entryway :)

Passing the entryway to the living room, I still need to finish 3 girls for the 'Wall'! :D heheheh The first collection of 12 is almost complete! Will I be able to finish until the end of the Summer? :p

Falhei com o meu post ontem, o dia esteve quente demais para engomar a peça antes da foto. Eu gosto de calor mas engomar roupa assim? É sauna :p Agora o tecido vai parecer-vos mais azul que branco, eu sei, é no que dá tirar fotos sem a luz no dia... na próxima actualização sai uma foto mais bonita ;)



Para quem não conhece a peça que estou a fazer, é um quadrinho de nascimento do Winnie the Pooh, já mostrei neste post.

I said I would post yesterday but the day was too hot for ironing my piece before taking a photo. I love the heat but ironing in this weather? It's sauna :p Now the fabric is looking more blue than white, I know, this is what happens when taking photos with no sunlight... on my next update I'll bring a better picture ;) If you don't know what I'm stitching, it's a Winnie the Pooh's birth sampler, I've shown it here. Next step, make the blue sky :)

Chegou o meu mês preferido! (☀‿☀)
E para começar com coisas bonitas, tenho uma foto do inicio do quadrinho do Pooh, lembram-se de 'Rainbow Days'? O nome já diz por onde comecei...



... pelo arco-íris claro :D hehehe
Recordam-se da minha dúvida para bordar este esquema? O gráfico indica apenas 1 fio para bordar tudo, tanto o preenchimento como o contorno, o que não é muito habitual. Estranhei mas fiquei mais confiante com o feedback que recebi, especialmente da Lesley e da Valérie - concordo convosco, acho que o efeito aqui é mesmo um tom suave de aguarela :) Fiz o teste e bordei o que podem ver na foto. Se não o mencionasse, teriam adivinhado que está bordado apenas com 1 fio? Cobre bem a tela, a trama também é bastante pequena (voltei ao Aida 16 em vez da Lugana) e no seu todo ficará bem, o efeito fica ainda mais bonito quando colocado na parede do que visto assim de pertinho ;) Mais progresso para breve! :)

Ainda há mais coisas boas para começar o mês, logo à noite farei o sorteio do giveaway '6 Fat Men', os dois gordinhos estão de malas prontas e à espera de saber o seu destino :D

My favorite month has arrived! (☀‿☀)
And to start with pretty things, I have a photo of Pooh's birth sampler start, remember 'Rainbow Days'? The name says where I began... with the raibow, of course :D hehehe

Remember my doubt about this design? The chart calls for one single strand to stitch everything, the main pattern as the backstitch, not very usual. I thought it was strange but I got more confident with the feedback I received, especially from Lesley and Valérie - I agree with you ladies, I think this goes for a nice watercolor effect :) I gave it a try and stitched what you can see in the photo above. If I hadn't mentioned it, would you have guessed it was stitched with only 1 strand? Fabric looks nicely covered, it's quite small too (I'm back to Aida 16 instead of Lugana). I think it will turn out very pretty, the effect is even more beautiful when placed on the wall than seen up close ;)
More progress to come soon! :)

There's more good stuff to start the month in a good cheer, tonight I will draw the '6 Fat Men' giveaway winner, those two chubby guys have their bags packed and are waiting to know their destination :D

A ideia era publicar ontem um update dos gordinhos mas...
...queria bordar mais um bocadinho, outro bocadinho, outro..
Só parei quando já não havia mais nada para bordar :p hehehe



Agora é esperar que chegue a encomenda com as linhas em falta, para terminar a casinha à direita, o fumo azul e ainda o coelhinho no Snow Friends. Os botóes ficam para último, quando já não precisar colocar o tecido no bastidor. Não é hoje a festa da finalização mas está marcada para a
próxima semana ;) eheheh

The idea was to publish an update on my chubby guys yesterday...
...but then I wanted to stitch a little more, and more, and...
I only stopped when there was nothing else to stitch :p hehehe

Now I have to wait for my order to arrive, as soon as I have my missing threads I can finish the house on the right, the blue smoke and the bunny on Snow Friends. Snow flake buttons will come in last, when I no longer need to put the fabric on the q-snap. So, today it's not happy dance time but there's a party coming next week ;) eheheh

O meu fim-de-semana foi tão colorido como o meu último post :D hehehe
Este sol realmente é alegria e energia, pelo menos para esta menina aqui ;) Sou outra pessoa com sol! Acho que aquela brincadeira com as linhas no Travelling Pattern foi um reflexo disso mesmo. Fiquei ainda mais contente com o vosso feedback, só palavras simpáticas :D Obrigada!!

Foram 2 dias grandes e curtos, grandes porque fiz muitas coisas e curtos porque tinha outras tantas que gostaria de ter feito ;) Mas isso não é apenas um fim-de-semana, já é a história da minha vida :D LOL Nada como no mês passado em que esqueci as minhas listas e perdi-me no tempo e espaço, nada disso. Já recuperei todo o atraso, mantenho-me fiel à minha organização e tudo corre sobre rodas :) Agora tenho alguns envios para tratar, algumas coisinhas que não houve oportunidade de fazer mais cedo mas muito em breve vou espalhar alguns sorrisos pelo globo ;)

Não tenho bordado tanto quanto gostaria, fui surpreendida com o progresso no meus '6 Fat Men'!! Pensei que levaria mais tempo a bordar este bloco mas está a crescer rápido... Talvez não diga o mesmo quando começar a bordar todo aquele branco da neve no chão :p heheheh



Sabem aquela ginástica que fazemos, quando estamos a ficar sem linha, tentamos desperdiçar o mínimo possível e aproveitar o triplo de um pedacinho? Não houve ginástica que me valesse, não chegou para terminar uma dúzia de pontos na casinha à direita :p Já estava à espera, por isso comecei pelas casas - motivo que me levou a esperar para encomendar a linha em falta do coelho fantasma no 'Snow Friends'. Hoje encomendo tudo o que está em falta ;)

Será que teremos uma 'happy dance' aqui na próxima semana??? :D

My weekend was as colorful as my last post :D hehehe This sun is a load of energy and joy, at least for this girl here ;) I'm another person with the sun! I think the changes I made on my Travelling Pattern was a reflection of that. I was even happier with your feedback, so many nice words :D Thank you all!!

These 2 days were big and short at the same time, big because I did many things and short because I had many more I'd like to have done ;) But that's not just a weekend, that's the story of my life :D LOL Wait, nothing like one month ago when I forgot my lists and I got lost in time and space, not at all. I've caught up on everythings by now, I remain faithful to my organization and everything runs smoothly :) Just need to work on a few gifts to send, a few things that there was no opportunity to do earlier but very soon I will spread some smiles around the globe ;)

I haven't been stitching as much as I'd like so I was very surprised with the progress on my '6 Fat Men'!! I thought it would take longer to stitch this block but it's growing fast ... Maybe I won't say the same once I start all that white snow on the ground :p heheheh

You know that gymnastics we do, when we are running out of thread, we try to waste as little as possible from a little bit? Failed! I did not succeed, couldn't finish a dozen of stitches to complete the house on the right :p But it's ok, I was expecting that - the reason I waited to order the missing thread for the ghost bunny on 'Snow Friends' block. I will order all right away ;)

Will we have a 'happy dance' here next week?? :D

...esqueci de postar durante o fim-de-semana! Desculpem... distraí-me com o sol hehehe É verdade, finalmente brilhou por aqui!!

Na segunda-feira passada comecei o quinto bloco no '6 Fat Men', fui bordando um pouco todas as noites e cheguei a sábado apenas com a neve para terminar :) Foi um bom progresso! Uma semaninha para completar um bloco :D



Agora falta o maior, este último bloco vale por dois, não? Será que consigo terminar em duas semanas? :D Não tenho a certeza se serei capaz mas vou dar o meu melhor =)

...I forgot to post during the weekend! Sorry... I got distracted with the sunshine hehehe It's true, it finally shined over here!!

Last Monday I started the fifth block on '6 Fat Men', I stitched a bit every night and by the end of the week there was only missing the snow on the floor :) It was a good progress! One week to complete one block :D

Now the last and biggest block, this one is worth two, right? Will I be able to finish this in two weeks? :D I'm not sure but I will try my best =)

This little gift traveled to Belgian lands, where the youngest member of my family was born. The 4th baby in the last six months! Family growing :D When I'm not sure about what the parents like I go with something simple to stitch, customizing with the baby's name it's a sure thing, don't you agree? :)

Falta apenas bordar os passarinhos, o fundo azul à volta e amanhã completo com o contorno e os detalhes.. parece-me viável ;) Mais alguém acha que amanhã estará terminada? :D

I thought the best way to thank you for all your kind words, on my Gorjuss girl's progress, would be with another photo and more progress! :D Last night I did an extra effort up to 2:00 am to finish all her clothes, it's too cold for my girl not to be properly dressed ;)

Today I have a couple of birds to stitch, a bit of blue background... backstitch and embellishments for tomorrow... it's doable ;) Anyone else thinks tomorrow she will be ready for a happy dance? :D
