Depois da minha hesitação inicial, por causa da trama do tecido ser mais larga do que o habitual, tanto olhei para o bordadinho que já me habituei! lol! Acho que foi por não estar habituada, notava muito a diferença em relação aos outros tecidos que estou habituada a usar para bordar. Agora já gosto mais :) Mas continuo a achar que esta trama não é muito minha amiga hahahaha Fica dificil para costurar pois não tem tanta resistência quanto o quadrilé, tive de inventar (mais uma vez) para chegar à peça final que idealizei ;) Como não ficava bem costurado, optei mesmo pela cola! Queria que ficasse bonito mas também resistente... dois dias à experiência na minha árvore de Natal e passou no teste: não caiu, não se desmontou! :p lollada!
Ficou um pouco maior do que tinha idealizado mas acho que ficou fofo... muitoooo fofo!!! =) Adorei vê-lo na minha árvore mas não é para ficar aqui, este vai decorar noutra casinha ;) Logo que tiver oportunidade vou fazer meia dúzia para a minha! Com certeza!! :D
Por enquanto, tenho mais presentes a terminar, são prioridade :) Alguns posso vos mostrar, aqueles que serão para amigos ou familiares que não espreitam o meu blog heheeh Temos de manter a surpresa ;)

My first christmas ornament! :D After my initial hesitation with this fabric (wider than usual) I looked at it so much that I already got used to it! lol! Now I really like my embroidery :) But I still think that this evenweave is not much of 'my friend' hahahaha It is difficult to sew because it is less structered, I had to come up (again) with creative ideas to reach the final piece that idealized ;) I couldn't stitch it so.. glue! I wanted it to look pretty but also resistant... 2 days experiencing in my Christmas tree and passed the test: it didn't fall, it didn't dismantled! :p LOL! In the end, it was a little larger than what I had in my mind but I think it's cute ... really-really cute! =) I loved to see it in my tree but it's not staying here, this will decorate another house ;) Once I'll have the chance (time!) I'll make half a dozen for me! Definitely! :D For now, I have more handmade gifts to complete, it's priority :) Some I can show here, those who will be for friends or family who don't read my blog hehehe We have to keep the surprise ;) One of the finalized gifts, slippers for a fan of ladybugs of course! :) For a special detail, I added the funny eyes hehehe More to come in the next post ;)
Depois de quase 11 meses a hibernar, chegou a hora das reninhas saltarem da caixa e se espalharem pela casa! :D
Porque é dia de montar a árvore de Natal, espalhar anjinhos, renas, bonecos de neve e gingerbreads! :) Dia de escrever postais para os amigos e familiares distantes! Dia de embrulhar presentes para os miúdos e graúdos! Para quem ainda não sabe, prepare-se porque nas próximas semanas verá uma autêntica criança por aqui! lol!
A decoração vermelha e branca do ano passado mantém-se :) Falta-me comprar os chocolates para pendurar na árvore! Esqueci-me ontem! :p Figurinhas de chocolate que decoram na árvore e se comem no Dia de Reis, a 6 de Janeiro, quando se desmonta tudo ;)
Uma novidade este ano: encontrei finalmente uma ideia perfeita para o topo da minha árvore! Durante 3 anos não coloquei nada porque não tinha uma peça que gostasse mesmo. Queria algo original, bonito, nas cores dos restantes enfeites e que combinasse com os nossos gostos cá em casa... voilá!
Não é um doce??? =) Um anjinho vermelho e branco, com um ginger na mão... mais-que-perfeito! O Rui também gostou, por isso, o anjinho está oficialmente adoptado como topo para a nossa árvore :D

After almost 11 months hibernating, it's time for my cute reindeers leap out of the box and jump through the house! :D Because it's the day to make the Christmas tree, spread sweet angels, reindeers, snowmen and gingerbreads! :) Day to write postcards to my friends and family overseas! Day to wrap gifts for kids and grown ups! For those who don't know me well yet, prepare yourself for the next few weeks... you'll see a complete kid here! lol! Red and white decoration from last year remains :) Missing one thing! Yesterday, I forgot to buy the chocolates to hang on the tree! :p Chocolate figures to decorate the tree and to eat on 6 January, the Epiphany's Day :) New this year: finally found a perfect idea to my tree top! In the last 3 years I didn't put anything because I hadn't found that-piece-I-loved! I wanted something original, cute, matching the colors of the other decorations, something different... Voilá! Isn't my angel topper lovely?? =) A cute red and white angel with a ginger on her hand ... more-than-perfect! Rui also likes it, so, this angel, is officially adopted as our christmas tree topper :D Next post I'll show you pictures of what I made in this 4-days-weekend! ;)
A minha semana foi excelente! Deu para bater os recordes de tanto me rir hahahaha Apesar do frio, o bom humor andou por aqui :p Nem a consulta no dentista conseguiu alterar isso, cheguei com aquela sensação de terror que qualquer pessoa a caminho do dentista sente (lol!) mas perto de mim só dá gargalhada, até para o dentista e para a sua assistente!! hahahaahah O pânico inicial foi esquecido e a consulta foi num ambiente extremamente divertido e nada terrorífico! E ainda aguentei a dor sem anestesia nenhuma, 45 minutos a cuidar de um dente até gelar o cérebro mas aguentei firme... pequenina mas forte! :D Era isso ou uma anestesia que dura 3h na boca... nááááá! Língua anestesiada não combina comigo! lollada!
Quero agradecer todas as opiniões, dicas e ideias que me deixaram no post anterior: Obrigada!!! :D Vou fazer os sapatinhos do Pai Natal numa cor mais escura, preciso apenas de comprar a lã preta para feltrar e logo aparece o Pai Natal finalizado ;) Esta semana bordei mais um bonequinho, o anjinho =) Que também terá perninhas e braços heheheh Vou jogar com as cores para os pés e as mãos... talvez puxar o laranja da auréola e o verde da roupinha ;)
E mais bordados, desta vez com um novo tecido! Sempre gosto de experimentar coisas novas, decidi comprar lugana em vermelho para fazer alguns enfeites de Natal :) Ainda estou em dúvida com o resultado... achei a trama muito aberta =/ Optei por bordar a 3 fios, mesmo assim não sei se o fundo vermelho atrás do bordado ainda sobressairá demais! Digam-me a vossa opinião sincera porque não quero fazer feio ao presentear uma amiga!! :p Acham que o motivo está bem definido? Ou o fundo vermelho não resulta muito bem? Gostavam para a vossa árvore? :)
My week was excellent! I laugh so much that I probably beated some record hahahaha Despite the cold, there was a good mood around here :p Not even going to the dentist changed this, I had that feeling of terror that anyone feels on the way the dentist (lol!) But close to me everyone laughs, even the dentist and his assistant! hahahaahah The initial panic was forgotten and the consult was in a very fun and nothing terrifying mood! I spent 45 minutes laughing and also in pain, I didn't take any anesthesy, I'm little but strong :D It was that or my tongue numb for 3 hours... no way! lol!! :p I want to thank you all for the tips and ideas in the previous post: Thank you! :D I'll make Santa Claus shoes in a darker color ;) This week I stitched one more, the sweet angel =) that also will have legs and arms heheheh I will play with the colors for the feet and hands... may pull the orange from the halo and the green in the clothes ;) More cross stitching, this time with a new fabric! I always like to try new things, I decided to buy red evenweave to make some Christmas ornaments :) I'm still in doubt with the result... I stitched it with 3 threads, still I don't know if the red background behind the embroidery still stands out too much! Tell me your sincere opnion because I don't want to make an ugly gift to a friend! :p Do you think the motif is well defined? Or the red background does not follow very well? Would you liked it in your tree? :)
Não resisti aos ornamentos que a Cross Stitcher trazia, bonecos com braços e perninhas! lol! Comecei logo a bordar, não utilizei tela plástica por isso endureci o bordado como faço para os imans ;) Só mais tarde me deparei com a dificuldade da parte mais gira.. como fazer as mãos e os pés?!?!
Gostei muito da ideia da revista mas não é fácil conseguir as mesmas peças =/ Nem as contas em madeira consegui encontrar, quanto mais os botões em forma de luva! Se não fosse tão perto do Natal, poderia encomendar em lojas online americanas mas o tempo já é curto! Continuo na procura, pedi ajuda também a algumas amigas, pode ser que ainda consiga. (espero!)
Enquanto isso... já sabem que sofro daquela sindrome não-saber-estar-quieta! Claro que tive de começar a inventar! LOL! Imaginei outras formas de fazer as luvinhas, ponderei feltro mas não me cativou muito, lembrei de outros materiais que teria em casa...
.. lã para feltrar! :D E porque não pompons branquinhos nas pontas, até a tapar o nózinho do cordão vermelho? Plano em acção e vamos lá a ver como isto fica :p Feltrei a lã branca à volta do nó do cordão, para ficar escondido ;)
Gostei dos pompons nos pés mas continuo a achar que as luvinhas ficariam mais delicadas para as mãos... Caso não consiga comprar, o que acham desta ideia alternativa? Gostam do resultado, fica bonito??? Preciso de opiniões!!! Deixem-me as vossas criticas ;)
Opening my Christmas season :) I couldn't resist the ornaments in the Cross Stitcher Magazine, christmas figures with arms and legs! lol! I started stitching them but I didn't use plastic canvas, to hardened the embroidery I did the same as I do the fridge magnets ;) Only later I came across the difficulty of the cutest detail.. how to make the hands and feet??! I liked the idea in the CS magazine but it's not easy to get the same supplies here =/ I haven't found the wooden beads.. even harder to find glove buttons! If it weren't so close to Christmas, I could order from U.S. online stores but time is already short! Still in demand, also asked some friends for help, I may still be able to find them. (hope!) Meanwhile... as you already know, I suffer from that syndrome not-knowing-how-to-stay-still, of course I had to start inventing! LOL! I figured other ways to make the mitts. I thought in felt but it didn't captivate me much.. I remembered other supplies that I would have at home... needle felting wool! :D Plan into action and let's see how it goes :p I made cute white pompons, with wool around the knot of the cord to be hidden ;) I liked the pompoms on his feet but still find that the mitts would be more delicate for the hands... If I can't buy the buttons, what do you think of this idea instead? Do you like the final result, it is pretty?? I need opinions! Let me your reviews ;)
Depois de ler todos os livros, sabemos o quanto são detalhados e por isso mesmo não podemos levar nenhuma expectativa, senão a de que obviamente haverá alguma diferença pois não é possível colocar tudo em 2h no ecrã. Fui de espírito aberto apenas à espera de ser surpreendida! E assim aconteceu :D
O filme foi excelente, emocionante, inclusive o Rui ficou admirado porque estava ao meu lado e a sentir-me vibrar com as cenas mesmo já sabendo o desenrolar todo da história! Lol!!
O livro tem o seu encanto mas o filme traz sem dúvida outras emoções, especiais detalhes que tornam tudo mais surpreendente e nos envolve sem qualquer dificuldade! A cumplicidade entre a Bella e o Jacob conquista-nos, sem dúvida! A transformação dos lobisomens está muito bem conseguida, a tristeza do Jacob pela Bella, vista nos olhos do lobo... é de derreter o coração! =)
Uma referência engraçada, que não houve no livro, quando o Edward se isola da família aparece uma cena com Cristo Redentor ao fundo :) É verdade, uma passagem que dá a entender que o Edward se refugiou sozinho no Rio de Janeiro, em terra das minhas amigas brasileiras ;)
As pequenas derivações que são necessárias para a ligação das cenas no filme, estão muito bem justificadas e ligam na perfeição, sem deixar de ser fiel à história. O elenco principal continua impecável, o clã dos Volturi também foi excepcional, só tive pena de não haver um pouco mais da família Cullen (ou não fosse a Alice a minha personagem preferida hehehe) mas.. faz parte do rumo da história! Espero pelo Eclipse ;)

"How was the movie?", You ask :) Fabulous, I say! :D After reading all the books, we know there is to much detail and for this reason of course there will be differences in the movie, because it's not possible to put everything in only 2 hours of screen. So, last night, I went with an open mind just waiting to be surprised! And so it happened :D The movie was excellent! Exciting! Rui was by my side, surprised with me, because I was thrilled with the scenes despite knowing the whole course of the movie! Lol! The book has its charm but the movie certainly brings other emotions, special details that make it all even more surprising and involves you without any difficulty! The complicity between Bella and Jacob conquers us, no doubt! The transformation of the werewolf is very well achieved, Jacob's sorrow for Bella, seen in the eyes of the wolf... it melts our heart! =) And funny reference, which was not in the book, when Edward is away from his family there's a scene with 'Cristo Redentor' (Christ the Redeemer) in the background :) That's right, a passage that suggests that Edward took refuge alone in Rio de Janeiro, on land of my Brazilian friends ;) The story line deviation needed to link the scenes in the movie is very well justified and connects perfectly, remaining faithful to the original story. All the leading cast were impeccable, the cast of the Volturi was also exceptional, I just felt sorry for not having a little more of the Cullen family (or wasn't Alice my favorite character hehehe) but.. it's the way the story goes! I'll wait for Eclipse;) I just... loved it! :)
Acho que toda a gente que passa por aqui, já sabe que sou fã da Saga do Twilight :) Adorei o primeiro filme, o Crepúsculo, o meu coração de romântica incurável derreteu com a história de amor entre a Bella e o Edward =) Fiquei bastante intrigada com o desenrolar da história, queria saber mais mas tinha receio de ler os livros e não gostar tanto, de haver muita diferença e acabar por estragar o encanto! :p Só tenho a agradecer a uma querida amiga, a Cidália :), que me aconselhou a ler e... abençoada!!!! Comprei todos os volumes, deliciei-me a ler até à última página do último volume! :D
Agora com o filme 'Lua Nova' a estrear, parece que o mundo inteiro vibrou! Só se fala de Twilight e andam mil fãs aí pelo mundo a puxar os cabelos de loucura!! :p LOL! Eu sou fã da história mas sem essa parte de teenager tolinha hahahaha Gostava de ver o filme mas nem por isso ia correr às bilheteiras. Acho que foi a primeira vez que vi bilhetes à venda um mês antes do filme começar em exibição! A minha intenção era deixar passar as primeiras semanas de euforia, afinal o filme não sai de exibição se continuar a ter salas cheias, de certo que ainda se manterá por um bom tempo em cartaz ;)
À cerca de uma semana atrás, eis que vejo na televisão, publicidade da Zon (o nosso serviço de tvcabo) com um passatempo para os clientes, em que ofereciam bilhetes para a antestreia do filme 'Lua Nova'.. ora bem, não custava nada espreitar o site e ver do que se tratava! Login com o número de cliente, responder a 3 perguntas sobre a saga e... voilá!

Num piscar de olhos (...ou deveria dizer num clicar de teclas? lollada!) não só vou assistir ao filme numa antestreia (em Portugal só estreia dia 26) como ainda vou de graça! hahahaha Coisas que acontecem por acaso quando menos se conta! De certo que se eu quisesse mesmo ir nunca ganhava nada! LOL!

I guess everyone who visits my blog, already know that I'm a fan of the Twilight Saga :) I loved the first movie, Twilight, incurable romantic as I am, my heart melted with the love story between Bella and Edward =) I was quite intrigued by the unfolding of history, I wanted to know more but I thought that probably the difference between movie/books may feel weird... I was afraid that reading the books would end up spoiling the charm! :p Now I just have to thank a dear friend, Cidália :), who advised me to read and... ... blessed!! I bought all the volumes, I really enjoyed reading until the last page of the last book! :D Now with the movie 'New Moon', it seems that the whole world cheered! Everyone is talking about Twilight and there are thousand of fans all around the world pulling the hair of madness! :p LOL! I'm a fan but without that part of unconscious teenager! hahahaha I'd like to see the movie but I wouldn't really go running to the box office. I think it's the first time I see tickets on sale one month before the movie goes on screen! My intention was to miss the first few weeks of euphoria, after all, I bet it will stay for a long time on theaters ;) About a week ago, I saw on tv, Zon advertising (our cable service) a ticket offer for costumers... to the 'New Moon' premiere! Well.. it couldn't hurt open the site and see what it was :p Login with the account costumer number, answer to 3 questions about the saga and .. Voilá! Correct answers = Double ticket to the premiere on 19th :D In the blink of an eye (or should I say ... at the click of keys? lol! ) not only I'm going to watch the movie in premiere (in Portugal it's in theaters only on 26th) but also I'm going for free! hahahaha Things just happen when you least expect! If I really-really wanted to go, I probably would never win anything! LOL! The invitation came by mail yesterday and tomorrow we will be there! :D Next Friday I'll tell you how it was ;)
Comecei o fim-de-semana a organizar as ideias para os bordados de Natal e acabei por fazer algo completamente diferente :) Bom, quando ía tirar fotos dos w.i.p. para colocar aqui na barra lateral do blog, lembrei da peça que já estava começada há alguns meses e dos meus patinhos incompletos! É verdade, o meu enxoval de bebé que tem estado parado nos últimos meses e que está quase-quase completo! :D
Para quem recentemente começou a acompanhar o meu blog: não, não estou grávida! Apenas a preparar o enxoval para um futuro próximo ;) São muitas peças, muitos patinhos a bordar, requer o seu tempo! Sobre isto podem ler mais neste post ;)

Agora, sem mais bordados incompletos, posso me focar apenas em pais natais, bonecos de neve, reninhas e tudo mais que o Natal nos traz :)
I started the weekend organizing my cross stitch ideas for Christmas and I ended up doing something completely different :) Well, when I was taking pictures of my w.i.p. to post here, on the blog sidebar, I remembered something that I had already started a few months.. my little ducks! :) Yep, my baby set that has been stopped for some months and it's almost-almost all done! :D For those who recently started to follow my blog: no, I'm not pregnant! I'm just getting some things ready for the near future ;) To many nursery clothes, to many ducks to stitch, it requires a lot of time! :p I finished the cover for the crib :D Now, to complete the set, I only have to stitch the sheets/pillowcase for the crib and the height chart... this one will probably be the last one and certainly the most time consuming! :p You can see more photos here ;) Almost everything done! :D Now, without any more incomplete works, I can just focus on Santas, snowmen, cute reindeer and all that Christmas brings to us :)
