Acredito que depois de fazer mais 3 ou 4 fadinhas, há uma grande probabilidade de olhar para trás e ver que podia ter feito algo melhor. É mesmo assim, faz parte da vida, estamos sempre a aprender, a melhorar ;) Mas... não há amor como o primeiro! A Bluebell será sempre a minha primeira Pixie =)

I think that after stitching more 3 or 4 fairies, I will probably look back and see something that I could have done better. That's how it is, it's part of life, we are always learning something more, improving ;) But... there's no love like the first love! Bluebell will forever be my first Pixie =)

Como foi o vosso fim-de-semana? Bem aproveitado? Quem está em terras de frio de certo que fez de tudo para ficar debaixo das mantas hehehehe Quem tem o Verão do seu lado do globo... faz-nos roer de invejaaaaa hahahah :D

Por aqui, o fim-de-semana foi bordar e ver filmes acompanhada do Rui e de 3 edredons. Sim, três, um ou dois ainda era pouco para o gelo do frio que se sente por aqui!! afff terra gelada esta onde eu escolhi viver :p



No Sábado terminei todas as cruzinhas, Kreinik e Caron Waterlilies, tudo bordado :) Estava certa de que no Domingo ia finalizar a Bluebell, só faltava fazer o contorno e umas duas horitas para colocar as missangas.. ok...
... podem rir de mim aqui hahaahahahha

Quem já fez algum projecto destes, sabe bem aquilo que eu descobri no Domingo: colocar missangas é uma arte de um mundo à parte!!! :p LOLLADA! Acho que não coloquei nem um terço das missangas e tive de parar duas vezes porque me doía as costas! Mas fica tão giro :D É trabalhoso mas vale bem a pena, acho que está a ficar linda =))) Ontem fiz mais um pouquinho...

Já está mais avançada do que a foto acima, o contorno completo, as missangas a 50%... a próxima foto será da Bluebell prontinha para a festa ;)
Já não faço previsões :p hehehe Digamos apenas que está para breve! :)

How was your weekend? Two days well spent? Who is in the land of cold certainly did everything to stay under the blankets hehehehe Who has Summer on their side of the globe... makes us nibble with envy hahahah :D

Here, the weekend was just about stitching and watching movies with Rui and three comforters. Yes, three, one or two wasn't enough for the ice cold around here! afff.. frozen land where I chose to live :p

On Saturday I finished all the xxx, Kreinik and Caron Waterlilies, all cross stitched :) I was sure I'd finish Bluebell on Sunday, just missing the backstitch and a couple of hours for beads... ok...
... you can laugh at me now hahaahahahha

Anyone who has done some design like this, knows what I discovered on Sunday: beading is a craft from another world! :p LOL I didn't finish beading even one-third and I had to stop twice because it was a pain.. in my back! hahahaah But it looks so pretty :D It's a lot of work but well worth it, I think Bluebell is looking so pretty =))) Yesterday I made a little more progress...

It's more advanced than the photo above, the backstitch is all done, 50% beading... the next photo of Bluebell it will be for a happy dance ;) I'm not predicting time anymore :p heheheh let's just say, it's coming soon! :)

Bluebell + IHSW

Uhuuu!! Ontem consegui actualizar-me por todos os blogs, faltam os emails mas pelo menos recuperei o atraso do fim-de-semana na leitura dos blogs :)

O meu último compromisso pendente é com o IHSW de Dezembro... já passou um bocadito :p Bordei bastante no terceiro fim-de-semana de Dezembro (não houve problemas de calendário pois já tinha todos os presentes de Natal tratados) mas falhei com a postagem =/ No meio do giveaway dos 12 dias de Natal, não sobrou oportunidade nem para postar o meu progresso nem para visitar as restantes participantes! Hoje mostro-vos o progresso que fiz e a seguir vou correr a listinha dos blogs do IHSW ;)

Como deixei a Bluebell em Novembro...



... e o progresso no IHSW - Dezembro:



Terminei todas as flores no topo, o que significa que terminei a primeira etapa, de bordar todas as cores DMC :) Etapa seguinte? Kreinik! :p

No fim-de-semana de Ano Novo, depois de colocar os botõezinhos no Christmas Rules, voltei à minha fadinha e comecei a bordar as linhas metalizadas Kreinik. É o que tenho bordado desde o inicio de 2012...



... ontem terminei as asas :D

Uhuuu!! Yesterday I was able to update all my blog reading, I still have tons of emails to reply but at least I'm not behind on your blogs now :)

My last pending commitment is with IHSW December... a little bit has gone by :p I stitched a lot during the third weekend of December (no scheduling problems because all my Christmas gifts were ready by then) but I failed to post =/ With 12 days of Christmas and the busy season, there was no opportunity to post my progress or even to visit the other stitchers! Today I show you the progress I made and then I'll run the list of blogs for IHSW ;)

First picture above, Bluebell as I left her in November... next, my progress during IHSW - December :) I finished all bluebells on top, which means that I completed my first step, all DMC colors done :) Next » Kreinik! :p

On New Year's weekend, after adding the buttons to Christmas Rules, I got back to my fairy and started to stitch those Kreinik. That's what I've been doing since the beginning of 2012... yesterday I finished the wings :D
She's close to be ready! :))))

weekend pics and new photo blog :)

Até à semana passada, tivemos tempo seco e quente, o nosso Outono estava mais para Primavera (ou até mesmo Verão! é verdade, tivemos dias muito quentes). No fim-de-semana chegou o frio, drástica descida de temperatura, chuva torrencial, ventos muito fortes, trovoada... chegou o Inverno!! Há aqui uma estação que fugiu ao calendário este ano, saltámos o Outono :p

Com o frio também chega a constipação, é um pacote especial '2 em 1' ;) Ontem acabei a noite aos espirros. Mas isto de ver um arco-íris lindo logo pela manhã, dá uma inspiração extra, até com espirros a chatear-nos heheheheh

Comecei o meu novo Photo Blog :) algo que já tinha na ideia de fazer há muito tempo, faltava arrancar! É um espaço onde pretendo colocar fotos minhas, coisas esporádicas e do dia-a-dia, nada com história particular para contar como faço aqui neste blog. O Photo Blog será um projecto mais pessoal para alimentar o meu gosto pela fotografia, claro que as visitas são sempre bem-vindas, podem espreitar quando quiserem :) Vou colocar o link para o Tumblr nos corações da barra lateral ;)

E voltando a falar do meu fim-de-semana, do que andei a fazer com as minhas agulhas enquanto a chuva caía lá fora :) Preparadas??? Eis as fotos:

Until last week, we had warm and dry weather, it didn't look like Autumn, more like a second Spring (or even Summer! It's true, we had very hot days). Since the weekend we have cold, drastic drop in temperature, torrential rain, strong winds, thunderstorm... Winter has arrived! There's a season that ran off the calendar this year, we skipped Autumn :p

With the cold also comes sneezing , it's a special package '2 in 1' ;) But this thing of having a beautiful rainbow waiting for us in the morning, gives an extra inspiration even with the sneezing bothering us hehehehe

I started my new Photo Blog :) something that I had in mind for a long time! It's a space where I'll post my photos, random images on a daily basis, with no particular story to tell. My Photo Blog is more of a personal project to feed my love for photography, of course, visits are always welcome, you may peek as you want :) I'll put a heart icon with the link to Tumblr in the sidebar ;)

And back to my weekend, what did I do with my needles while the rain was falling outside? Well, to scroll down and read this, you've seen the pictures above :) I got Bluebell a whole dress, also legs and a new hairdo :D On the second pic, wool and my tricotin, can you guess what will come out of this?? :D

IHSW with Bluebell

Ora bem, o meu fim-de-semana não foi passado numa onda eremita mas sem dúvida que participar no International Hermit and Stitch Weekend deu uma impulsionada extra para bordar! Aproveitei ao máximo o tempo que passei em casa para ter um bom progresso para postar aqui hoje :)

Voltei à Bluebell :) Podem ver o 'antes' neste post e agora:



Falta completar alguns espacinhos e estou quase a terminar o vestido! Quer dizer, refiro-me à parte com linhas DMC, ainda há espaços para preencher com linhas Kreinik (meadas metalizadas de uma outra marca) e as missangas. Planeei bordar a minha fadinha por etapas: DMC » Kreinik » Caron Waterlilies » Contorno » Missangas

Pode-se dizer que, até estar terminada, ainda tenho 'alguns fins-de-semana' pela frente :p hehehehe Agora tenho muitos bloguinhos para visitar e toneladas de emails para responder!! Oh céus... :p

Well, my weekend wasn't really a hermit time but being part of the IHSW gave me an extra push to stitch! I took the most of my time at home to stitch and have a good progress to post here today :)

I'm back to Bluebell :)

Only missing to fill a few blanks to complete her dress! I mean, the part with DMC threads, there are still spaces to fill with Kreinik and beads. I planned to stitch my fairy in steps: DMC » Kreinik » Caron Waterlilies » backstitch » beads

Until Bluebell is all done, you can say that I still have a 'few weekends' ahead to stitch :p hehehehe Now I have lots of blogs to read and tons of emails to reply!! Oh my... :p

A minha fadinha esteve tanto tempo em standby (outros bordados apareceram pelo meio, a Gorjuss, presentes de aniversário..) que fiquei ansiosa por lhe ver algum progresso! Acreditem que foram precisas muitas horas até começar a ficar mais satisfeita :p Só mesmo nos últimos dois dias é que comecei a sorrir por já lhe notar as ondinhas do vestido a esvoaçar :)



Para quem queria terminar o mês de Setembro com o vestido todo pronto..
...ainda fiquei bastante longe :p

Amanhã começa o mês de Outubro e há mais um bloquinho a bordar no Christmas Rules :) A seguir? Época de Halloween!!!! :D

My fairy was on standby for so long (other things in the way, one Gorjuss girl, birthday gifts... ) I was eager to see some progress on her! Believe me, it took several hours until I started feeling happier :p It was just in the last two days that I started smiling as I noticed the waves of her dress fluttering :)

Well.. for someone who wanted to finish Bluebell's dress until the end of September... I'm quite far :p

Tomorrow begins the month of October and there's a new block to stitch on my Christmas Rules :) After that? It's Halloween season!! :D

Eis que se solve o mistério! A menina que tenho estado a bordar, a Bluebell :) Já tem rosto, braços e parte do seu vestido... bom progresso, não? :p



O post de hoje é curtinho porque o João Pestana (entenda-se soninho) já está a chegar! O dia foi longo mas não podia deixar de postar o meu wip, prometi foto depois do fim-de-semana, não vos deixaria no suspense por mais um dia ;)

Também finalizei o Tweet biscornu, faltava apenas o botãozinho que me falhou na lista de compras :p Hoje já cuidei disso e amanhã sai foto ;)

Today's post is short because 'John Eyelash' (as we call in portuguese.. sleep!) is already coming! My day was long but I couldn't go to bed without posting my wip, I promised photo after the weekend, I wouldn't keep you in suspense for another day ;)

I also finished my Tweet biscornu, it was only missing the button that failed my supplies shopping list :p Today I took care of that, picture out tomorrow ;)

Foi interessante ler as diferentes ideias e opiniões, obrigada pelas vossas mensagens :D Confesso que foi dificil escolher apenas uma entre tantas tão lindas mas.. eu tenho uma predilecção especial pela cor azul =)

É a primeira fadinha que vou bordar, quem sabe no futuro outras mais? Mas, por enquanto, vamos ver como será bordar um esquema com tantas linhas especiais e missangas. Caron, Kreinik, Mill Hill, tudo palavras novas :p LOL
Não é o meu próximo projecto porque tenho outras coisas a bordar antes e, quando começar a bordar a Bluebell, quero fazê-lo o inicio ao fim, sem outros wips pelo meio. Com excepção do meu SAL com a Cathey, claro ;)

Estou a aguardar a chegada da Ruby, a minha próxima Gorjuss :)



Enquanto não chega, estou numa onda de bonecos de neve, deve ser influência do frio! hehehe Mais um que saiu da minha lista To-Stitch :)

Segui todas as cores do gráfico com excepção do preto. Quanto vejo que fica bem, substituo por cinza bastante escuro, acho que fica mais delicado.
É apenas um gosto pessoal :)

It was interesting to read the different 'likes' and opinions, thank you for your comments :D I have to say that it's hard to choose only one from all these gorgeous fairies, I love them all! But... I have a special predilection for the blue color: I will stitch Bluebell :D

In the future, maybe I'll stitch others. For now, let's see how I'm going to handle a pattern with so many special threads and beads. Caron, Kreinik, Mill Hill, all new words to me :p LOL

It's not my next project because I have other things to stitch before. Also, I want to start and finish Bluebell, without anyother wips in between. With one exception, my SAL with Cathey, of course ;)

While I'm waiting Ruby to arrive, my next Gorjuss girl, I'm in a snowmen 'mood'.. it must be this cold! LOL One more done from my to-stitch list, Snowman Quaker Christmas :) I followed all the original colors from the pattern, except black. When I see that works, I replace black with a very dark gray, I think it looks nicer. It's just a personal taste ;)

I don't know what I'll stitch next.. but my list is long! Many options to pick ;)

uma 'coisa' por fadas

Não deve ser segredo que eu tenho uma 'coisinha' por fadas =) Acho que os pirlimpimpins no meu blog já revelam um pouco disso ;) hehehe

Mas esta minha paixoneta vira um problema quando me deparo com gráficos fabulosos para ponto cruz, como este da Mirabilia:



Ahhhh!!! Vontade imensa de o bordar e uma falta de coragem proporcional!! LOL Mas antes que o meu cérebro parasse na ideia de o fazer realmente, os meus olhinhos caíram de amores pelos designs da Nora Corbett!



* suspiros * Posso vos dizer que uma destas fadinhas será o meu projecto para o próximo Verão :D Adivinham qual?


It's no secret that I have a 'thing' for fairies =) I don't know if my foreign friends realize my blog's name, "Caixinha de Pirlimpimpim", means something like 'little box of fairy dust' :)

My crush becomes a big problem when I come across fabulous cross stitch patterns, like 'The Cottage Garden Fairy' from Mirabilia (1st picture above). Ahhhh! I want to stitch her so much... my lack of courage ir proportional! LOL But before my brain stopped on the idea of really stitching this gorgeous pattern, my eyes fell in love with Nora Corbett designs!

I can tell you that one of these fairies will be my summer project :D Can you guess which one?
