Duas semanitas sem post aqui... já estavam a pensar que eu tinha perdido o ritmo? :p Nada disso! No fim-de-semana passado acabei por não escrever nada porque... estive a bordar, a bordar bastante :D Consegui aproveitar bem o tempo e entusiasmei-me com o avanço na minha Gorjuss :) Agora com o cabelo todo feito, o lacinho e até os braços. Fiquei contente :)



Tirei foto ainda no bastidor, daí que o tecido pareça um pouco aberto.
O tom escuro do cabelo ficará mais uniforme ;)

Vamos ver se conseguirei fazer o vestido no mês de Fevereiro... embora... Nestes últimos dias descobri que o meu pequenito gosta de dinossauros :D Estou tentada a fazer um em amigurumi :p ...Será?

Two weeks without news... you were all thinking that I had lost the rhythm? :p Not at all! Last weekend I ended up not writing anything here because... I was stitching, stitching a lot :D I was able to make a good use of my free time and I got excited to see the progress on my gorjuss girl :) Hair all done, bow and even her arms. I'm happy :)

I took this photo still on my q-snap so the fabric may seem a bit open. Once it's out, the dark color on her hair will blend better ;)

Let's wait to see if I will finish her dress in February... although... These last few days I found out that my little man likes dinosaurs :D I'm tempted to make one amigurumi dino :p ...Will I?

Deixei algumas pessoas surpreendidas e outras entusiasmadas com o inicio de mais uma Gorjuss, diria mesmo que vocês ficaram tão contentes quanto eu por me verem bordar novamente :) heheheh

É bem verdade que postar no blog incentiva a bordar e bordar incentiva a postar, queremos sempre ter progressos para partilhar no nosso blog e gostamos de o fazer, não é? Um ciclo motivador ;) Obrigada pelo vosso apoio!

Falando em apoio... já viram as novidades da Lizzie Kate para este ano? Começaram bem, com uma expressão que eu adoro e já usei várias vezes: "Put on your big girl panties..."

"Friends are like bras" também está bem engraçado! Saltaram os dois para a minha lista de favoritos :) Oportunidade para bordar é que vai demorar um bocadito... talvez para a segunda metade do ano :p Por agora quero continuar com a Gorjuss e fico contente se terminar em menos de 6 meses!



Só consigo bordar um bocadito ao fim-de-semana mas estou a conseguir manter o ritmo, a menina está a crescer :) Parece que o ciclo motivador já está a fazer o seu efeito, não acham? :D

Some of you were surprised to see me stitching another Gorjuss and others were excited with my new start, I would say you were all as happy as I was to see me stitching again :) heheheh

It's true that posting on the blog encourages to stitch more and stitching encourages to post, we want to have progress to share on our blog and we enjoy doing so, don't you agree? A motivation cycle ;) Thank you for your support!

Speaking about support... have you seen Lizzie Kate's releases for this year? Very good start with a saying that I love, so fun and I've used it several times: "Put on your big girl panties... and deal with it!" :D LOL

"Friends are like bras" is also pretty funny! Both jumped into my favorites list :) Opportunity to stitch won't come very soon... perhaps on the second half of the year :p For now, I want to continue with my gorjuss girl and I'll be happy if I finish her in less than 6 months!

I can only take a couple of hours to stitch on the weekend but I'm keeping my pace, my girl is growing :) It looks like the motivation cycle is already doing its effect, isn't it? :D

Quantas palavrinhas queridas para o Lourenço, quando o pequenote souber ler, até vai corar :D Obrigada pelo carinho ♥ Até pelas fotos dá para notar que é um menino muito activo e brincalhão, certo? Acreditem, não dá descanso, a sorte dele é que é bonito ;)

Esta semana toda a gente está entusiasmada a começar novos bordados, pois eu também tenho um! :) adivinhem quem vem aí...

Esta é a última das 12 meninas! Para as mais atentas, é isso mesmo, faltavam duas mas uma já ficou pronta em 2015 ;) Mostro-vos fotos num próximo post!

Agora vou continuar a seguir todos os vossos inícios, estou a gostar de ver as escolhas que fizeram para os Crazy Challenges que andam a rolar pela blogosfera :) Há um par de anos atrás, eram os 15 projetos a começar nos primeiros 15 dias de Janeiro mas isso já evoluiu! Agora também há 30 em vez de 15, ou até 366!!! Confesso que fiquei chocada com essa, parece a estrada para a loucura :p LOL 366 bordados começados.. soa-me a nenhum terminado e insanidade total!!! Mas posso estar errada :)

So many sweet words for Lourenço, when my little man can read, he will blush :D Thank you for the love ♥ Even on these photos, you can see he's a very active and playful boy, right? Believe me, he doesn't let me have a break, he's lucky he's that cute ;)

This week everyone is excited with new stitching starts! Guess what? I have one too! :) It's a girl, another Gorjuss!! :D Well, you have to look right there on the left... skin color mixes up with the fabric :p But there are some stitches, I swear ;) This is the last of my 12 girls! For those of you paying close attention, that's right, two were missing but one was already completed in 2015 ;) I'll show you photos on another post!

Now, I will continue to follow all your starts, I'm enjoying seeing the choices made for all those Crazy Challenges going on :) A couple of years ago, there were 15 starts in the first 15 days of January but that has been taken to a new level! Now there's also 30 starts, or even 366!!! I confess, I was shocked by this one, it seems the road to madness :p LOL 366 starts... sounds like not one single finish and complete insanity!!! But I could be wrong :)

Gorjuss cards :)

As minhas cartinhas demoraram para seguir viagem mas estão agora a correr o globo e algumas já chegaram ao seu destino :D Fiquei muito contente com o feedback que tenho recebido, acho que o meu pequeno miminho tem causado alguma sensação pela sua originalidade ;) hehehe Parte do correio só seguiu esta semana, por isso, é normal que demore mais um pedacito =)

Esta semana estive a colocar em prática um dos presentes que recebi, um set de postais oferecido pela Cathey (aka Pumpkin), um dos itens do 'pacote mistério'! :D LOL! O set trazia postais com fundos padrão e 'toppings' para recortar e aplicar a gosto... coisa que eu já fiz =) heheheh



Faltou um na foto, que seguiu para a aniversariante do dia, a Ritinha :) Parabéns linda!!!! :D heheheh Enviei-lhe o primeiro postal e só depois completei este lotinho. O Rui ainda me perguntou se já me estava a aventurar nas artes da Rita (scrap) LOL!! Nada isso, foi apenas apenas uma brincadeira com o presente que recebi =) Trabalho amador! hahahahahah

My snailmail took a while to follow its trip but now it's running the globe and part has arrived at the final destination :D I'm very happy with the feedback I've received, seems like my little gift has caused some surprise for its originality ;) hehehe The second load of mail was only posted this week, it's normal that some letters may take a little bit more to arrive =)

This week I had some fun with one of the gifts I received, a set of cards sent by Cathey (aka Pumpkin), one of the items from the 'mystery package'! :D LOL! The set featured cards with different backgrounds and 'toppings' to cut and apply as we wish... I've done that! =) heheheh

There's one missing in the picture, I sent it to today's birthday girl, Rita :) Happy Birthday sweetie!!!! :D heheheh I sent her my first card and only after I completed this batch. Rui asked me if I was going into new adventures on Rita's craft (scrap) LOL! No, not at all, I was only having fun with my gift =) Totally amateur work! hahahahahah

HMandl SAL & all Gorjuss in the market

Na semana passada estava a bordar a 3ª parte do SAL da Helga Mandl (com a Annette e a Valérie) quando fiquei sem linha branca :p Comprei no inicio da semana e terminei o bloquinho, faltava apenas foto para partilhar aqui :)

Annette, também já actualizei a listinha de wips na barra lateral ;) heheheh Este SAL estava em falta e a Annette puxou-me as orelhas :p

Sobre a minha 'Parede Gorjuss' :D muito obrigada por todos os vossos comentários, confesso que também fiquei muito contente com o resultado final :D Respondendo às questões que me colocaram, vou fazer um apanhado de todas as Gorjuss lançadas no mercado até à data:

1º) O primeiro lançamento incluíu 8 meninas, podem ver neste post, todas com presença marcada na minha 'Parede' :)
2º) Mais tarde, foram lançados mais 6 kits, podem vê-los aqui, destes escolhi bordar apenas os 3 primeiros que veêm no mosaico.
3º) Este ano foram lançados mais 6 designs novos, também publiquei aqui. Adoro todas! Prentendo bordar as 6 :) Quando? Isso ainda não sei :p

Com duas excepções que foram publicadas não em kits mas em revistas:
. "Hang me up do dry", na revista Cross Stitcher
. "Little Red", na revista The World of Cross Stitching

Actualmente, as 12 meninas com lugar cativo na 'Parede' são os designs do 1º + 2º lançamento (com a excepção de 3) + a menina publicada na Cross Stitcher. Espero que este resumo ajude a responder às vossas questões.

Com o baby a caminho, tenho plena consciência que vou querer bordar muitas coisas para ele/ela :D Por isso, o plano (realista) é terminar as 2 que estão em falta e também bordar a última da TWOCS, antes de investir em 6 novos kits ;) Estou ansiosa por começar a bordar coisinhas de bebé!!! Mas a tentar esperar mais um bocadinho, para ver se descobrimos se será menina ou menino =)
Talvez mais 3 semanas... :)

Last week I was stitching the 3rd part of Helga Mandl SAL (with Annette and Valérie) when I ran out of white thread :p Bought more at the beginning of the week and finished my piece, was only missing an update photo to share here :)

Annette, I also updated my wip list on the sidebar ;) heheheh This SAL was missing and Annette pulled my ears :p

About my 'Gorjuss Wall' :D thank you for all your comments, I have to agree, I'm very happy with the final result :D To answer a few questions, I'll post a recap on all Gorjuss designs launched in the market until today:

1) The first release included 8 girls, you can see them here, all making presence on the 'Wall' :)
2) Later, new release with 6 more kits, all here but I chose to stitch only the first 3 you see on the mosaic picture.
3) And this year, 6 new designs, I've also post them here. Love them all! I intend to stitch all 6 :) When? No idea right now :p

With two exceptions that were not published in kits but in magazines:
. "Hang me up to dry" in Cross Stitcher magazine
. "Little Red" in The World of Cross Stitching magazine

At the moment, my 12 girls on the 'Wall' are: 1st + 2nd release (except 3) + the girl published in Cross Stitcher. I hope this summary helps to answer your questions about what was published and how many I'm stitching.

With the baby on the way, I'm fully aware that I'll be stitching a lot for her/him :D So the (realistic) plan is to complete the 12 girls on the 'Wall' and then stitch the last publication in TWOCS, before investing in the 6 latest new kits ;) I'm eager to start stitching little baby things!!! But I'm trying to wait a little longer to see if we will find out whether it's a girl or a boy =)
Maybe 3 more weeks.. :)

my Gorjuss wall :D

Em Fevereiro passado, mostrei-vos como estava a ficar 'A Parede', a minha família de meninas Gorjuss :) Na altura contei-vos também que pretendia pintar a parede de cinza, além de combinar na minha sala, daria mais destaque às molduras ;) Pois bem, nestas nossas férias, o Rui colocou as mãos à obra...
...as mãos na tinta! LOL :D



A nossa casa tem bastante luz e janelas grandes, a entrada de muita luz dificulta um pouco para tirar fotos sem sombras :p Este cinza combina bem no ambiente da nossa casa e sem dúvida que dá mais destaque às molduras (comparando com a cor anterior). Ficou exactamente como idealizei :D



Só mais 2 meninas para bordar e completar as primeiras 12! :D

Back in February, I posted a few photos of the progress on 'The Wall', my family of Gorjuss girls :) At that time, I also told you about my intention to have a gray color on the background, besides matching our living room, it would make the white frames pop out ;) Well, during our vacation, Rui got his hands on the work... I mean, on the paint! LOL :D

Our house has plenty of light and large windows, the origin of so much light makes it a bit difficult to take photos without shadows :p This gray shade blends really well in the environment of our home and makes my frames look prettier (comparing with the previous color we had). The final result was exactly want I had on my mind :D

Only 2 more girls to stitch and complete the first 12! :D

mystery solved + a bit of Gorjuss to show :)

Abrandei um pouco o ritmo pela blogosfera mas não pensem que estive parada pela web, aliás.. devem ter reparado nos emails a cair nas vossas caixas ;) Tive de me focar um pouco nos emails senão nunca mais recuperava o atraso em tantas mensagens :p Mas acreditem que me divirto muito a escrever a toda a gente :D Só tenho pena das pessoas que não deixam email, mais uma vez vos digo que fica dificil de dar retorno quando não temos para onde enviar =/

Hoje trago mais um update no lentinho progresso da Gorjuss :p Isto de ter um bebé a crescer na barriga faz as outras 'meninas' crescerem mais devagar hehehe Mas crescem! Já faltou mais ;)



Talvez agora (de férias e com os emails todos respondidos hehehe) consiga dar um bom avanço e terminar rapidinho :) Vamos esperar para ver como correm os próximos dias :p

Sobre o mistério do post anterior, já sabia que a 'culpada' se revelaria :D Foi a Cathey (aka Pumpkin), que mesmo estando a passar por uma fase tão dificil na vida, teve a atenção e o carinho de me fazer tal surpresa =) Fez a compra online do Reino Unido e por isso compensava mais enviar directo para Portugal do que encaminhar para o Canadá e retornar à Europa :p Já calculava que a razão seria esta mas não sabia mesmo de quem vinha!

I had to slow down my pace on the blogosphere but don't think I was away from the web, in fact... you may have noticed a few emails dropping in your inboxes ;) I had to focus on emails or I would never catch up with so many messages :p But believe me, I have so much fun writing back to everyone :D I'm just sorry for those readers who leave no email, I say it again, it's hard to send some return when we have no address to write back =/

Today I bring you another update on the slow progress of my Gorjuss :p Having a baby growing in my belly makes the other 'girls' grow more slowly heheheh But they grow! Every small progress it's a progress ;)

Maybe now (on vacation and with emails answered hehehe) I can speed it up and finish my girl :) Let's wait to see how the next couple of days will flow :p

On the mystery from my previous post, I knew the 'guilty' friend would show herself :D It was Cathey (aka Pumpkin), even when she's going through such difficult moment in life, she had the attention and care to make me such a surprise =) Cathey made ​​the purchase online from the UK, it's easier to send direct to Portugal than to Canada and back to Europe :p I imagined that this would be the reason but I had no idea from who it was coming!!

the mystery package!!

Chegou por aqui um pacotinho.. sem qualquer remetente! Uma embalagem pesadita, pensei que pudesse ser uma encomenda de livros a chegar mais cedo do que era esperado! Abri o pacote com bastante curiosidade e começo a ver Gorjuss =) Seria outro presente de aniversário, pensei. No interior estava um set de postais+envelopes e um pequeno album de fotos :D



Mas quando digo que era isto que estava no interior, era mesmo isto.
Nada mais, nenhum bilhete, nenhuma cartinha, nenhum remetente no pacote..???!!!??? Fiquei em dúvida se seria para mim ou se alguém teria a morada errada de uma encomenda! LOL Depois de várias vezes confirmar o meu nome na embalagem, convenci-me que seria mesmo para mim e finalmente abri as embalagens para ver os presentes :D haahahha



Agora a quem agradecer estes presentes.. não faço ideia! Mas digo-vos que gostei mesmo muito :D Um caso para o Sherlock Holmes :D

One package arrived on my mail box.. without any sender's name! It was a bit heavy, I thought it might be some books I bought online, being deliver earlier than expected! I open the package with loads of curiosity and I start seeing Gorjuss =) Another birthday present, I thought. Inside there were a set of postcards+envelopes and a small photo album :D

But when I say that this was all the content, it really was. Nothing else, no note, no letter, no sender's name on the package...??!!?? I wondered if it was really meant for me or if someone had the wrong address for an order! LOL After repeatedly confirming my name on the package, I was convinced it was really for me and I finally opened everything to see my gifts :D haahahha

Now who to thank or these gifts.. I have no idea! But I can tell you that I loved it all :D hahahaah A mystery for Mr. Sherlock Holmes :D

Uma pequena pausa mas mesmo assim não é costume neste bloguito ;)
Culpa do fim-de-semana... e deste novo ritmo de grávida :p ehehehe Quem não tem experiência não faz ideia do quanto uma gravidez nos altera o ritmo logo desde o inicio! Estou a aprender que sim ;)

Os crafts também abrandaram muito, só consigo mesmo fazer alguma coisa ao fim-de-semana =/ Queria eu terminar a Gorjuss até ao fim de Julho, que piada! hahahaha Mas já tem roupinha, não falta tudo ;) Mais uns 15 dias e talvez esteja terminada :p hahahahha



Tenho recebido imensos emails, desculpem a demora no retorno mas prometo que todos receberão a minha resposta! :) Só vos peço um bocadinho de paciência, eu chego lá ;) heheheh

dressing up!

Um Domingo a bordar e a menina cresceu :) A ida à cabeleireira foi rápida, agora está na costureira a preparar o seu vestido :D heheheh



Hoje deu para tirar uma foto mais bonita, com a luz do dia, ao contrário do último post em que já era fim da tarde :p - sempre digo que a luz natural faz toda a diferença nas nossas fotos, mais uma vez se comprova!

One Sunday stitching and my girl grew :) The hairdresser appointment was quick, now the seamstress is preparing her dress :D hehehe

Today I was able to take a pretty picture, with sunlight, unlike my last post when it was already late in the afternoon :p - I always say that natural light makes all the difference in our pictures, once again it shows!

Next week she might be ready for a happy dance ;)

Está visto que toda a gente adora um peixinho que não requer manutenção ;) hehehe Sinceramente, não gosto de ver peixinhos de verdade dentro destes aquários tão pequenos, o peixe pode ser pequenino mas um globo tão diminuto não me parece um lugar feliz =/ Os peixes precisam de espaço para nadar e esticar as barbatanas!!! :D LOL

A ideia de fazer um peixinho em amigurumi pareceu-me bem gira, engraçada pelo contraste com a realidade e ao mesmo tempo divertida para decorar o espaço :D Agora vive na entrada da nossa casa :)

Passando da entrada para a sala, ainda preciso terminar 3 meninas para a 'Parede'! :D heheheh Está quase completa a primeira colecção de 12, será que consigo terminar até ao fim do Verão?? :p



Everyone loves a goldfish that requires no maintenance ;) hehehe I honestly don't like to see real fish in these tiny aquariums, as small as fish may be, these small globes don't look like a happy place =/ Fish need space to swim and stretch their fins!! :D LOL

The idea of ​​making a goldfish in amigurumi looked so fun, cool contrast with reality and at the same time fun to decorate the space :D Now he's living on our home entryway :)

Passing the entryway to the living room, I still need to finish 3 girls for the 'Wall'! :D heheheh The first collection of 12 is almost complete! Will I be able to finish until the end of the Summer? :p

Gorjuss °•● New Heights

A caçulinha dá o ar da sua graça =)


New Heights, Gorjuss

Saiu da parede, onde já estava na sua moldura, para tirar fotos neste bonito dia Verão, cheio de sol :D

Fiz duas pequenas alterações, a primeira foi não bordar um coração que enfeitava no cabelo, com Kreinik (igual aos detalhes no vestido).
Em vez disso, optei por fazer uso do botãozinho que vem no kit.



Desde a primeira Gorjuss que decidi não escrever o nome da marca, como vem em todos os designs, nessa menina utilizei o botão em coração para decorar no gorro :)

A segunda alteração foi não bordar umas riscas que ficariam de fundo, prefiro menos cheio e mais delicado do que muita coisa a acontecer ao mesmo tempo! O detalhe dos livros já dá bastante realce a este quadrinho :)

My youngest shows her face =)

She left her place on the wall, where she was already in her frame, to take pictures on this beautiful Summer day, full of sunshine :D

I made two small changes, the first was not to stitch a small heart on her hair, with Kreinik (like the details on the dress). Instead, I chose to use the button that comes with the kit. Since my first girl, I decided not to write the word Gorjuss, as it comes in all designs, also used the button to decorate her hat :)

The second change was not to stitch the stripes on the background, I prefer less things happening at the same time! Looks more delicate this way, the books already give enough emphasis to this design :)

O Sol voltou a brilhar para nós :D hehehe
A tarde já foi bem mais bonita que os últimos dias e o calorzinho também se fez sentir :) Pela hora de almoço o céu ainda estava um pouco encoberto mas deu para tirar fotos, já vos posso mostrar as novidades do fim-de-semana!

Primeiro terminei o cachorrinho do SAL da MSherry...



.. ainda sem olhinhos pois serão missangas a aplicar no fim do bordado. Também fiz as marcações para os seguintes, individualmente, vai facilitar na hora de bordar ;) Segui-se uma babete...


Labores de Ana Extra n.54

... para a Bia, bebé da Ângela :) Esta vai fazer pan-dan com uma fraldinha que a mamã está a bordar, uma das peças que vos mostrei noutro post.

Também para a Bia, tenho um novo projecto pronto a começar, este é maiorzinho :p hehehe Um quadro de nascimento...



... do Pooh =) Não é um doce??
Foi dificil de conseguir, este kit está descontinuado (devia ser proibido descontinuarem designs com este excesso de fofura!!!), andei a garimpar pelos blogs à procura de quem já o havia bordado! Mas consegui :D O tecido para este também está marcado e pronto a começar, só estou na dúvida com as indicações... É suposto ser bordado apenas com 1 fio de linha (ao contrário dos habituais 2 fios) numa tela de Aida 16 (equivalente ao linho 32ct). Apenas um fio?!? Será que fica bonito? Alguém já experimentou numa trama 32ct?

Por último, falei-vos que comecei uma menina nova :) Estava a falar em ponto cruz, não EVA!!! heheeheh Nova Gorjuss a crescer...

Chega de fotos por hoje? hehehe Só aqui tenho 3 w.ip.s! Vou continuar a Gorjuss, fazer o terceiro cachorrinho do SAL (50% do ano = 50% do SAL) e depois começo o quadrinho do Pooh para a Bia :)

The afternoon was far more beautiful than the last few days and we had some heat too :) By lunchtime there were some clouds in the sky but I took some pictures to show you my stitching from last weekend!

First, I finished another puppy on MSherry SAL, still without eyes because I'll only add the beads once my stitching is all done. I've also stitched the guidelines for each puppy individually, this will be very helpful later ;)

Next, a little bib for Bia, Angela's baby :) This bib will match another burp cloth that momma is stitching, one of the pieces I've showed you on another post.

Also for Bia, I have a new project ready to start, this one a little bigger :p hehehe Pooh's birth sampler =) Isn't that adorable? It was so hard to get! The kit was discontinued (they shouldn't be allowed to discontinue designs with this overload of cuteness!), I had to dig on the blogosphere, I looked for people who had stitch it... I got it!!! :D My fabric is ready to stitch, guidelines done here too, I'm just wondering with the directions... It's supposed to be stitched with 1 single strand of floss on Aida 16 (= linen 32ct). Only 1 strand?!? Will this look nice? Has anyone ever stitched on 32ct or Aida 16 with one strand?

Finally, I told you I've started a new girl :) I was talking about cross stitch, no EVA foam this time!! New Gorjuss girl heheeheh Soon she will gather with her family on the wall! :D Ohhh I missed my girls =)

Enough photos for today? hehehe Here you can see I have 3 WIPs! I will continue my Gorjuss, then stitch the third puppy (50% of the year = 50% of my SAL) and then start Bia's birth sampler :)

On top of the world!!!

Foi uma autêntica semana de inverno! Hoje o sol deu-nos um descanso e abriu um pouco, só um pouco mesmo, parece que amanhã chove forte de novo. A iluminação não era das melhores mas, antes que venha pior tempo para o fim-de-semana, a minha Gorjuss decidiu pôr o seu cabelo ao sol :) heheheh


On top of the world, Gorjuss

A fraca luz não mostra bem o brilho das missanguinhas espalhadas pelo fundo. Pela primeira vez acrescentei algo a uma destas meninas, troquei apenas os olhos dos passarinhos, coloquei uma missanga preta em vez do indicado nó francês. Para o fio onde está sentada, bordei com pontos largos para um efeito mais natural. Desde que comecei a bordar esta menina que gostei imenso do cabelo dela, não sei porquê mas adoro estas madeixas :)



Mais uma menina que se juntou às irmãs na 'Parede' :D

It was a week of harsh winter! Today the sun chose to shine and give us a little break, just a little, it seems that tomorrow we will have heavy rain again. The lighting wasn't the best but, before it gets worse for the weekend, my Gorjuss girl decided to put her hair in the sun :) heheheh

Weak ligth... doesn't show well the brightness of the beads spread on the background. For the first time I added something to one of these girls, I changed the eyes of the birds, used a black bead instead of the mentioned french knot. On the wire, where she's sitting, I made wide stitches to look more natural. Since I started stitching this girl I was particularly enjoying her hair, don't know why but I just love those locks :)
