oh! happy mail :)

Há alguns dias atrás recebi um bonito postal de Outono junto com alguns gráficos que a June gentilmente ofereceu :)



E logo na semana seguinte, mais um postal da June, desta vez porque acertei no seu bordado mistério e por isso ganhei uma linda meada da Polstitches!

Ontem chegou outro pacotinho gostoso, da Ana, um maravilhoso pedaço de linho vindo directamente do Brasil! Adorei o toque, a cor, perfeito! Até já sei algo que vou bordar nos próximos dias ;)



O detalhe do lacre do Atelier Caseiro é sempre um charme!! =)

O sr. carteiro também deixou aqui umas comprinhas que fiz online, estava ansiosa por receber!! Linho, gráficos e meadas para um bordado que quero começar no próximo mês - sobre este conto-vos mais em breve ;) - e o meu novo Q-snap!



O meu bastidor de 22,5cm já não era suficiente para a Bluebell, precisava de um upgrade para 27,5cm. Aproveitei a onda e comprei umas extensões que adaptam os 27,5cm para 35cm e acho que estou bem servida de bastidores! Não penso usar nenhum maior que isto senão preciso começar a treinar levantamento de pesos! :p ehehhhehe

E hoje... é noite de Twilight!!!! uhuuuuu :)



A few days ago I received a beautiful autumn card along with some charts kindly offered by June :) And the week after, another sweet card from June, this time because I found out her mystery stitching and so I won a thread by Polstitches! It's so pretty!! =) Once again, thank you June! :D

Yesterday, another package arrived, from Ana, a gorgeous piece of linen coming straight from Brazil! I love the texture, color, it's perfect! I already know something to stitch on it very soon ;) Look at the wax seal, charming! =)

Mr. postman brought some things that I ordered online and I was so anxious to get!! Fabric, charts and threads for something that I want to start stitching in December - I'll tell you more about this soon ;) - and my new Q-snap! My 9" snap frame was too small for Bluebell now, it needed an upgrade to 11"; I also bought extensions to make it into 14" and I think I'm good on frames! I don't think I'll be using any size bigger than this, otherwise I'll have to start training some weight lifting! :p ehehhhehe

And tonight... it's Twilight time!! uhuuuuu :)

summer is back!

Estamos mesmo a passar um época de Verão em pleno Outubro! Por aqui as temperaturas estão entre os 27-30ºC e parece que o Verão tardio está espalhado pela Europa. As estações do ano já não são o que eram antes! :p

Em Portugal foi feriado ontem, um dia de descanso do trabalho mas, como tivemos um aniversário na família, passei umas horitas na cozinha a fazer sobremesas. Com o calor que estava e ainda mais o calor do forno ligado.. foi dose enfrentar a cozinha :p Depois de fazer o meu bolo de chocolate desisti da ideia de fazer cupcakes, deixei esses para fazer no fim-de-semana ;)

Ainda sobrou um tempinho para as agulhas, comecei um gráfico da JCS Halloween 2011.. será que adivinham qual? :p Para quem já viu a revista, dêem lá um palpite, qual será o enfeite que escolhi fazer primeiro? Foi tão instantâneo quando lhe bati os olhinhos.. acho mesmo que é fácil de adivinharem, bastante óbvio ;) ehehehhe

Um tricotin e um cogumelo para costura :) Este cogumelo é uma versão moderna do tradicional ovo de madeira, não faço a mínima ideia se alguma vez vou realmente utilizá-lo mas... que tiveram uma ideia gira de fazer isto num cogumelo fofo, isso tiveram! :D hehehhehe

We're having a summer bliss in October! Around here the temperatures are between 27-30º C and it seems that this late summer is spread throughout Europe. Seasons are no longer what it used to be! :p

Yesterday was a holiday in Portugal, one day to rest from work but, as we had a birthday in the family, I spent a couple of hours in the kitchen making desserts. Having such a hot day and adding the heat from the oven on... it wasn't easy to stay in the kitchen :p After baking my chocolate cake I gave up the idea of ​​baking cupcakes, I'm leaving those for the weekend ;)

There was a little time left for the needles, I started a chart from JCS Halloween 2011... can you guess which one? :p If you have seen the magazine, take a guess, which ornament have I chose to do first? It was such an instantaneous choice when I snapped my eyes on it... I really think that's easy to guess ;)

To close today's post, a picture of my latest acquisitions: a tricotin and a darning mushroom :) This mushroom is a modern version of the traditional wooden egg, I have no idea if I'll ever actually use it but ... I couldn't resist it! Such a fun idea to turn this into a cute mushroom :D hehehhehe

oh yes.. it's Monday! :p

Vamos lá encarar a segunda-feira com uma atitude positiva, é uma semana nova e fresquinha a começar :D E eu tenho imenso para postar nos próximos dias!!! Repararam que o título do post anterior foi cupcake #1? Pois é, vem outro por aí heheheh E ainda no lanço dos tutoriais, vou também postar como faço os meus saquinhos.. que já tanta gente pediu!! Só falta um bocadinho de tempo para organizar as fotos e escrever os posts!

Na semana passada estive a preparar presentinhos para as aniversariantes de Setembro, também já tenho a minha Gorjuss e o seu urso polar prontinhos para a festa :D e agora estou a bordar o bloquinho do Christmas Rules. Ainda fico com metade do mês para me dedicar à Bluebell :)

Quem também faz aniversário no mês de Setembro é a loja de lavores onde costumo comprar os meus materiais de bordado, sábado foi dia de festa com desconto especial para as clientes :) Uhuuuuuu!!! Aproveitei a oportunidade para comprar algumas coisinhas...



.. tecido, Aida colorida, um paninho de mesa, uma fraldinha de pano e umas linhas (que são normalmente mais caras) já a pensar no Natal ;)

Mas vocês querem é ver fotos dos bordados, certo? :D Voltem amanhã!! ;)

Lets face our Monday with a positive attitude, it's a brand new week starting :D And I have a lot to post during the next few days! Did you notice the title on my previous post, cupcake #1? Well, there's another one coming heheheh Since I'm in this tutorial mood, I'll also post how I make my string bags... so many people have asked me for it! I just need to find a little time to organize the photos and write the posts ;)

Last week I was preparing goodies for the September birthday girls, I also got my Gorjuss girl and her Polar Bear friend all ready for the happy dance party :D and now I'm stitching one more block on Christmas Rules. I'll still have half of the month to stitch Bluebell :)

Who also has a birthday in the month of September is my LNS where I usually buy my stitch supplies, Saturday was a day of celebration with special discount for customers :) Uhuuuuuu!!! I took the opportunity to buy a few things... fabric, colored Aida, one table runner, one baby burp cloth and a couple of threads (which are usually more expensive) already thinking about Christmas ;)

uma amiga que passou para o lado de cá das teclas :D

Ontem resolvi parar o trabalho e encontrar uma amiga a meio da tarde...
... adivinhem quem??? A Cristina, vencedora do meu último giveaway! :D Depois de trocarmos alguns emails, demos conta daquilo que toda a gente já sabe: o mundo é pequenino!!! Não é que estudámos na mesma Universidade? Não nos cruzámos por um pouquinho, eu saí em Junho de 2005 e a Cristina entrou em Setembro do mesmo ano, foi por um triz! heheheh Conversa puxa conversa e lá marcámos um café e uma ida à loja de lavores :)

O que era suposto ser um intervalo de meia horita, uma hora no máximo.. pois sim! Passado hora e meia ainda nem tínhamos ido fazer as nossas compras! :p Acho que se pode dizer que simpatizámos bem uma com a outra ;)

Na loja de lavores, não ía à procura de nada mas não resisto a uma novidade! Comprei um set da Prym para fazer pompons =)



Já tinha visto o Pom-Pom Maker da Clover na SewandSo, este é da Prym e além de ser muito mais barato ainda tem quatro peças para fazer pompons de quatro tamanhos diferentes :)



Tenho uma ideia para usar estes pompons mas vou precisar de algum tempo para executar a coisa :p LOL Novidades para breve!



Espero que o futuro me traga mais oportunidades de conhecer as amigas da blogosfera =) Cristina, não demores muito para cá voltar! :D

PS: estou um bocadito atrasada nos emails e nos passeios pelos blogs.. de novo :p mas logo-logo terão muitas mensagens minhas a cair no vosso email ;)

Yesterday I decided to take a break in the middle of the afternoon and meet a friend... can you guess who?? Cristina, my latest giveaway's winner! :D After we exchanged a few emails, we realized what everyone already knows: the world is sooooo tiny! We actually went to the same university, we almost crossed by each other, I finished in June 2005 and Cristina started in September of that year, so close! Conversation pulls conversation heheheh and there we were, scheduling a day to go take a coffee and do some shopping on the needlework store :)

What was supposed to be a half-hour break, an hour at most.. indeed! After 1h30 we hadn't even gone to the NS! :p I guess you could say we sympathize with each other pretty well ;)

In the NS, I wasn't looking for anything but I can't resist when I find something new and different! I bought a Pom-Pom Maker set =) I saw a similar one from Clover on SewandSo, this one is from Prym - and besides being much cheaper - it has pieces to make pompoms in four different sizes :) I have an idea to use these pompoms but I need some time to make the thing :p LOL news to come!

I hope the future will bring me more opportunities to meet my friends from the blogosphere =) Cristina, don't take too long to get back here! :D

PS: I'm a little behind on emails and blog reading..again :p But soon you'll have lots of messages from me in your email box ;)

A razão de eu ler poucos livros ultimamente é porque adoro ler os vossos blogs :D E há como não gostar de me inspirar com os vossos trabalhos, de aprender com as vossas experiências, de dividir um sorriso com uma amiga que teve um dia menos bom? Vale muito a pena passar horas a ler os blogs que sigo :) Ontem terminei de me actualizar pela blogosfera, ainda respondi a alguns emails mas não deu tempo para tudo =/ Prometo que li todas as mensagens e logo que possível irei dar resposta de volta ;) Claro que também não sobrou tempo para as agulhas, o gatinho ficou em stand-by :p

Outras coisas que tenho feito por aqui... compras! :D



Lugana para mais uns bordados; tecidos para uma almofada para a Carol; tecido vermelho (que falhou na foto) para terminar as peças com os gatinhos do SAL da Margaret Sherry; uma lã colorida para inventar umas coisas novas :) Pois é, não me dou por muito tempo quieta sem aprender alguma novidade heheheh Mas sobre isso saberão mais em breve ;)

Na secção de compras online (hehehe) pensei encomendar os materiais para a Bluebell mas, como pretendo começar a bordar em Junho, acho que ainda tenho tempo de comprar pela ABC Stitch Theraphy. Alguém que já tenha comprado nesta loja e saiba me dizer o tempo esperado para a entrega na Europa? Calculo que um mês chega e sobra, por isso.. vem primeiro outra Gorjuss por aí, já está a caminho :D

Ainda nas compras..



Nada a ver com os lavores mas achei que gostariam de ver o meu novo colar, uma peça que encontrei ontem e caíram-me os olhinhos. As corujas têm um je ne sais quoi que cativa o olhar =) Não acham?

The reason why I haven't read many books lately is because I love reading your blogs :D And it's impossible not to like to be inspired with your crafts, learn from your experiences, share a smile with a friend who had a day less good! It's worthwhile to spend hours reading the blogs I follow :)
I'm up to date on my blog reading, yesterday I even replied to some emails but there wasn't enought time for all =/ I've read all your messages and as soon as possible I will write back ;) Of course, with this, no cross stitch news to share, my cat is on stand-by mode :p

Other things I've done here... shopping! :D

Lugana for some more cross stitching; fabric to make a pillow for my goddaughter Carol; red fabric (missing in the photo) to finish the pieces with my cats from Margaret Sherry's SAL; colorful wool to make new things :) Yeah, I don't stay still for long without learning something new heheheh but you will know more about that soon ;)

In the online shopping department (lol) I was going to order all supplies for Bluebell but I think I still have time to buy from ABC Stitch Theraphy, I plan to start stitching in June. Can anyone tell me the expected time for delivery in Europe from this store? One month is probably enough so.. someone else is coming first, one Gorjuss girl is already on the way :D
