Contei que demorei bastantes horas a preparar tudo para a minha festa de aniversário, a razão disso foi porque optei por fazer tudo caseiro, comidinhas feitas de raíz. Inclusive, o meu bolo de aniversário que este ano foi...



... uma torre de cupcakes!! :D hahahhaha Na foto ainda não tinha as velas, estávamos a preparar a mesa, mais tarde junto com as velas coloquei também 6 foguetinhos espalhados ao redor da torre :D A decoração com chantilly ainda precisa de treino, com o tempo e a prática há-de melhorar ;) hehehehe

I told you it took me many hours to prepare everything for my birthday party, the reason for that was because I chose to do everything homemade, all desserts and snacks made ​​from scratch. Also, my birthday cake this year was...
... a cupcake tower! :D hahahhaha

When I took the photo above, there were no candles yet, we were setting the table, later along with the candles I put six candle fireworks around the tower :D The whipped cream decoration still needs some training, I need more time and practice to improve ;) Slowly getting better hehehehe

Now, what's the best way to end this party-weekend? Giving presents to you? What do you think? :D I was supposed to do that on Friday, I didn't forget!! We will close by birthday weekend with a giveaway for you! :D

O S.Pedro foi nosso amigo e deu-nos um fim-de-semana de céu bonito :) Continua cada vez mais frio mas pelo menos parou a chuva, especialmente ontem, o sol a brilhar até convidou a ir um pouco ao jardim. Não sei como os passarinhos andam todos contentes com estas temperaturas tão baixas! Pensei que já estariam escondidos em algum lado hehehe ainda tentei tirar algumas fotos mas não apanhei o momento.

Mas fotografei muitas outras coisinhas para partilhar convosco :D
Como na semana passada não consegui vos mostrar os meus bordados, vou começar por aí, as minhas primeiras cruzinhas de Novembro :)

Mais um bloquinho no meu SAL do Christmas Rules, com umas das regras mais bonitas da época de Natal, 'Dá mais do que recebes' :)



Um postal de aniversário para a minha priminha Rosie que faz um aninho esta semana =) Ok, não resisti em fazer mais um cupcake :p heheheh Mas achei engraçado este bolo com 1 velinha para o aniversário de 1 aninho ;)



A base é um postal que veio num kit de oferta de uma edição antiga da revista Cross Stitcher. Ao fazer isto deu-me uma ideia... o postal é estampado apenas na frente, dobrado a meio e o interior branco... não é difícil de fazer em casa com qualquer outro desenho a gosto! Só precisamos de utilizar umas folhas um pouco mais resistentes do que a gramagem normal e temos um postal bonito para aplicar um bordadinho na frente :) Prático e fácil!

Hoje fico por aqui, vou deixar algumas novidades para contar no post de amanhã ;) Uma excelente segunda-feira para todos!!! :D

St. Peter was our friend this weekend, gave us sunshine and a beautiful sky :) The cold is getting worst but at least the rain stopped, especially yesterday, the sun was inviting to spend a little time on the garden. I don't know how the birds sing all happy with these low temperatures! I thought those guys would be hiding somewhere else by now hehehe I tried to take some photos but no luck.

But I did take a lot of other photos to share with you :D Last week the weather didn't let me post pictures of my cross stitch so I'll start with that, my first xxx-stitches in November :)

I started stitching on my SAL, one more block on Christmas Rules with one of my favorite rules for the Christmas season, "Give more than you get' :)

And I made a birthday card for my little cousin Rosie =) Ok, I couldn't resist stitching one more cupcake :p heheheh but I found this cake with a single candle perfect for the little girl who's turning 1 year old ;) The back that I used for the card came in a gift kit from a back issue of Cross Stitcher magazine. Doing this gave me an idea... the card is printed just in the front, folded in half and white inside... it's not hard to do it at home with any other design we'd like! We just need to use some paper a little thicker than regular paper and we'll have a beautiful back to make any kind of card :) So easy!

I'm ending here today, leaving some things to tell on another post tomorrow :)

cupcakes de chocolate

Esta semana foi recheada de novos posts aqui no blog! Eu bem vos avisei, no inicio da semana, que tinha muita coisa para partilhar convosco :) e ainda falta a receita dos cupcakes! Pensaram que eu tinha esquecido? heheheh :p



massa: 6 ovos, 250 gr açúcar, 250 gr farinha c/fermento, 200 gr tablete chocolate, 150 gr manteiga

decoração: 4 dl de natas, 4 c. (sopa) de açúcar

Pré-aquecer o forno a 200ºC e colocar 24 forminhas de papel nas formas para o forno. Bater as gemas com o açúcar. Derreter o chocolate com a manteiga e juntar ao preparado das gemas. Bater as claras em castelo e envolver na massa, alternando com a farinha. Vai ao forno por 15 minutos.



Para a decoração, bater as natas com o açúcar para fazer o chantilly... coisa que eu não falhei miseravelmente!!! :p Depois de duas tentativas, resignei-me ao chantilly em lata! LOL Lá terei que fazer cupcakes mais vezes para treinar a cobertura ;) heheheh

O resultado...



...um sabor delicioso em forma de calóricas bombas de chocolate :D hahaha

This week was full of new posts here on my blog! Well, in the beginning of the week, I warned you that I had a lot to share :) and I haven't posted my cupcakes recipe yet! You thought I had forgotten, didn't you? heheheh :p

dough: 6 eggs, 250 gr sugar, 250 gr flour with baking powder, 200 gr chocolate tablet, 150 gr butter

decoration: 4 dl heavy whipping cream, 4 tablespoons of sugar

Preheat the oven to 200ºC and line 24 cupcake pans with paper liners.
Mix the yolks with the sugar. Melt the chocolate with the butter and add it to the yolks. Place the egg whites in a large mixing bowl and beat at high speed until egg whites are frothy. Add to the rest, folding gently between each addition and alternating with the flour. Bake for 15 minutes.

For decoration, chantilly, mix whipping cream with sugar... something I completely failed!! :p After 2 attempts, I resigned myself to chantilly in a can! LOL Looks like I need to bake cupcakes more often to pratice the frosting ;) heheheh

In the end, a delicious flavor in the form of caloric chocolate bombs :D hahahah

São gráficos de uma Cross Stitcher (edição n.239) que vinham como exemplo para colocar em saquinhos mas eu visualizei-os na frente de um postal de aniversário :) Acho que combinam bem para acompanhar cupcakes especiais ;)

Mas... faltava algo para completar... uma caixa, não?

Autumn colors have arrived but I still have a bit of summer shades to share with you, cheerful and bright cupcake colors that I put in a couple of cards :) Patterns from Cross Stitcher magazine (issue n.239) that came as an example to stitch into gift bags but I envisioned them in the front of a birthday card :)
I thought these would match up very well with my special cupcakes :)

But... something was missing to complete ...a box, wouldn't you say?
Look to that last picture above and tell me if it isn't the sweetest thing! =) Hehehhehe Cupcake fever around here? ...it's possible ;) LOL

DIY °•● cupcake #2

Hoje trago-vos uma variação do tutorial Cupcake #1.
O método é basicamente o mesmo, apenas uma variação para finalizar ;)

Utilizei tecido de algodão em vez de tela para bordar mas podem aplicar qualquer uma das ideias com o material que vocês quiserem.



Ingredientes: 1 FQ, 1 tira de feltro, 6 alfinetes e 1 fita



Dobrar o tecido várias vezes e enrolar, tal como no tutorial anterior.



Desta vez, sem o feltro no meio, servirá para substituir a forma de papel ;)



Prende-se com alfinetes, fazendo um efeito de 'copinho' :)



Voilá!



Podemos ainda dar um toque extra com um fitinha...



... e porque não um alfinete no topo =)



Today I have a variation of the Cupcake #1 tutorial to share with you.
It's basically the same method, just another suggestion to finish it ;)

Ingredients: 1 FQ, 1 strip of felt, 6 pins and a ribbon

Fold the fabric and roll it several times, as in the previous tutorial. I'm using cotton fabric but you may apply any of the ideas with any kind of fabric that you want. This time, without the felt in the middle, it will be used to replace the paper cup by covering around the fabric cupcake and holding it with pins ;) Voilá!

We can also give an extra touch with a ribbon..
... and why not a pin at the top =)

DIY °•● cupcake #1

No meu aniversário recebi da Lainey um cupcake de tecido que achei a coisa mais fofa =) Já tinha visto uma ideia semelhante na Cross Stitcher mas feito com barras de quadrilé. Eu decidi experimentar com lugana e feltro para fazer um efeito de creme heheheh sem esquecer a cereja no topo ;)



Ingredientes: 1 FQ, 1 tira de feltro, 1 meada, 2 alfinetes e 1 forminha
Detalhe: no feltro dei um efeito com a minha nova tesourinha zig-zag :)



Dobrar o tecido várias vezes, de forma a ficar numa tira com a altura pretendida para o cupcake



Utilizar uma tira de feltro com a mesma altura da barra de tecido, colocar uma sobre a outra e na ponta a meada que será a cerejinha do topo :)



Enrolar..



.. no fim prender com dois alfinetes e cortar o excesso de feltro



Sem dúvida que é uma ideia muito engraçada para presentear as amigas :)



On my birthday Lainey sent me a fabric cupcake, the cutest thing =) I had seen a similar idea in Cross Stitcher magazine but done with Aida bands. I decided to try it with lugana and felt to make a cream effect heheheh

Ingredients: 1 FQ, 1 strip of felt, 1 thread, 2 pins and 1 cupcake cup
Note: I used my new pinking shears on the felt :)

Fold the fabric several times to get a strip with the desired height for the cupcake. Use a strip of felt with the same height as the fabric, put one over the other and the thread on the end. That will be our cherry on the top :)
Roll until the end, hold with two pins and trim the excess felt.

An adorable idea to offer fabric to our friends! :)
