you don't want to see...
... the mess in my craft room during the weekend :p heheheh Two beautiful sunny days and it seems that the hours stretched and stretched, I had time to make lots of things! uff... the only thing I didn't do? Stay still! hahahaha :D Oh I will have so much to share with you this week! =)
Starting with my cross stitch, I finished the second bunny and I also finished the third :) I'm only missing some pretty colors of felt to complete my pieces!
I love pastel colors so Easter is great for me! Pastel matches perfectly with the season :) I've found the felt sheets like I wanted, just need to wait for my goodies to arrive :D
The other part of my Easter tree decoration: eggs!
Made a needle felting egg, painted another, I even made a yarn egg heheheh
I want to try different techniques and then choose which I like best ;) I have to take some photos from today but now I can show the first experience, the yarn egg that I started doing yesterday. The first attempt was a fail because the balloon was empty before drying :p For the second round I learned how to close the balloon, two knots and more two with both thread ends, no air was sneaking out this time ;) heheheh Left it to dry during the night and this morning the surprise was waiting for me :D
It worked! Uhuuuuu loved it! hehehe Of course this color is not the prettiest, it was just to test. I used some old Anchor threads that I don't use to stitch, this way it wouldn't hurt to lose other good DMC. Now I can do it for real and use nice colors, pastel of course! :) Matching the felt that I'll use for the bunnies ;)
Well, there's much more to show, if you're curious, you'll have to come back and check my next post ;) Good start of the week to all! :D
Lindo!

ReplyDeleteI like your yarn egg! Looking forward to see more pastel color yarn eggs! :) Thanks for your yarn egg idea. I think I can teach my two girls to do this because they are too free at home due to one week of school holiday. Your stitched bunny pieces are so cute.

:) beijinhos
ReplyDeleteTwo finishes in a weekend?!! That's fantastic...congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to find out what your making with the thread egg :P
