'I found my family in a book' :)

'You brought me love'

Thank you for all the comments left on my previous post, so many kind words for Ruby! =) Believe me, you've spread many smiles around here :D

I have to say that the merit isn't just mine, it starts with Susanne's illustrations that are the most adorable thing on Earth! Congratulations to Gorjuss :)

And, I also had Rui's help who (like he wrote in his comment) played a huge role! He held the thread while I twisted to make the rope, one must note that if I had simply used a book it wouldn't be the same! Rui's hand was undoubtedly an essential part ;) Thank you Love, without you, the rope wouldn't be the same for sure! LOL :D

Almost everyone asked about what I'll make with these girls. It's decided, I'm going for my 'Gorjuss's Wall' :D Lol! After showing the first picture (above) to Rui, we both agree it works perfectly in our living room :) The wall is already reserved, I just need to stitch more girls and put them into frames!
But, both cross stitch kits and frames are a little expensive, so let's take it slow, Rome wasn't built in a day! hehehe This will be a project to make through the year ;) And I haven't forgotten Bluebell, Nora Corbett's fairy that I want to stitch this summer :)

I was also questioned about which girl will be next: 'I found my family in a book', second picture above :) I don't know if I'll stitch absolutely all, for now I have only two out of my wishlist. Who knows if six months from now, we will have new releases to melt my heart a little bit more :p There's an illustration that I particularly like, 'You Brought Me Love'.. I hope this one will appear one day in a cross stitch kit =)

  9. I envy you Nia...
My hubby always do something funny whenever I stitch something, he pretends to be afraid of me piercing my needle to him or pretends that he sit on my needle...
Next time, I'll probably ask him to give more help instead of making fun of me.. :)

Good luck on your Gorjuss wall!

  20. Oh what a great idea... a Gorjuss Wall! I so can't wait to see you stitch some more and get that wall of Gorjuss-ness happening.... I know what you mean about the cost though... we have a horrible exchange rate with US$ at the moment so everything is twice as expensive as it was last year.. :o( and shipping.. don't get me started on that one!
Great team work on the rope you two! :o)
