Day #2 deck the halls!

No primeiro ano coloquei as luzes e as bengalinhas...

Christmas decoration has been a work in progress in my house :p
I have very defined ideas of what I want to make but it's not always easy to find the 'right' supplies or the time to do it all! With calm and patience, I get there ;) And new things are made each year :)

I see so many cool ideas on the web, I've been saving my favorites and then I make my own version :) Like this idea of putting a scarf on a candle holder, thought it was so cute, I inverted the colors for my white candle holder and gave it a tiny scarf too, with pompoms :D

The garland for the stairs was an intense search heheheh Remember when I wasn't able to find it anywhere so I thought chopping a tree into pieces? :p LOL On the following year, there was the wreath on the store, calling my name :D

On the first year I put lights and candy canes...
...now I've completed it with a twine ribbon, another idea I found online. My version has silver jingles instead of stars =) Simple but very cute! In my opinion, this garland doesn't need anything more, it's perfect this way :)

Decorations continue to be spread through the house...
...not even the kitchen is forgotten :D LOL

  13. Love how you see an idea and put your own personal touch on it, Nia!! Everything looks wonderful--just think this will be your last Christmas as a couple... Next year a little baby boy will be looking at those lights on the garland with wonder in his eyes :)

I'd love to decorate the stairs this way here, adding some of my creations just as Carol shown on her blog...but...hubby doesn't like :(

  17. Love the stair garland, I used to do that pre-small boy but it's not safe with him around now. Most of our decorations have to be about his reach when he climbs on the back of the sofa or behind the fence! Last year there was a bare patch of tree the exact size of his arm's reach with no decorations on!
